Great little spot to stop for lunch on the patio. Recommend getting a half wrap and salad/soup. They also make some of the best coconut cream pie and key lime pie I've had in a while. The service is really efficient and the tables turned regularly, so I wouldn't go there expecting a leisurely meal. To comment on a negative review of their lobster bisque: generally, a bisque is a puree/extraction of shellfish, and is not supposed to contain big chunks of seafood. Next time try ordering chowder or bouillabaisse, if you can find it. read more

Love this place!! Our favorite spot to eat when we are in Englewood! Fresh food fantastic drinks and super nice staff!! The white sangria with mango is a must try. We had the seafood crepe and Thai chicken wrap. The crepe was stuffed full of seafood lobster and shrimp and cheese with a fantastic lick you plate sauce over it. Place is quaint, wait service mediocre, food tasteless. Main course offered are crepes, which are supposed to be thin and light. The crepes here are very thick, more like burritos. (Probably why burritos are also on menu!) The seafood crepe has minimal seafood, more like a giant rice bomb. The Havana crepe was simply bbq pork inside a burrito, did not sense a single Cuban season. Overpriced for quality, would not recommend this restaurant. read more

Excellent restaurant, and two or more nights they have jazz, live. We have been there two times. One for lunch. We ordered a sandwich of shrimp, roll up type, that was grilled and excellent. We both had the best lobster bisque we've ever had [and we live in Cape Cod]. Wine is a full glass, and $5., nice not to get screwed for $8-$10 for a 1/2 glass. This place is all about the customers. It's hippy like, and professional. I don't remember what our friends ate, but all agreed this place is for real. I should have looked at Yelp. Not that this place was terrible, it just wasn't what we had hoped. It was the first place we ate on our short trip. We each had the Lobster Bisque, which had a pretty generic flavor but lacked in actual lobster. Would I eat it again? Of course, but I wouldn't make my lunch choice just for this. We also had a pretzel roll (smaller than you expect) and a couple salads that were fairly nondescript. This is one of our favorite places to go. Their lobster bisque is very good, and you have to finish off with their version of key lime pie! Their smoothies are also very good. This is the only place my husband will order a smoothie! I also love the iced chai latte. MY son in law had the mango iced tea and was pleased with it. They also have plastic cups that biodegrade. I was visiting friends in Englewood and they took me to Mango Bistro. Most of the tables are outside, though under a roof, and the menu is unusual. There are crepes, various burritos, and an assortment of appetizers and salads. What seems like not enough to satisfy you when you read the menu,turns out to be a good-sized serving that you end up taking part of home. On the weekends, they have a 5-piece jazz band that is good. They take few breaks and play all the classics. The crowd that Saturday night was mostly older and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. There are no mixed drinks, but wine and beer are available.There's not much parking by the restaurant, but it can be found if you drive around the block. If your table is close to the band, you will have trouble talking. We were fortunate to be able to sit back a ways. A nice place if the weather is nice. Cold or rainy wouldn't be so great. read more

I ordered a vegetarian wrap without cheese and I was able to substitute hummus in place of the pesto sauce. Their pesto sauce does contain Parmesan. They have lots of vegetarian options that can easily be made vegan without the cheese. Healthy salads and smoothies. They have a cute bar inside and they were setting up heaters outside on the patio as we were leaving, setting up for their evening entertainment. This place Is amazing, I've been eating here since I was little. YES, it's busy! YES, sometimes you have to wait a couple minutes, but it is worth the wait! A busy business is a good sign. Some of the staff have worked there since day 1, and they're sweet hearts. The menu is very FRESH and CLEAN. Lots of wraps, paninis, soups, smoothies, coffee, wine, beer, and much more! VERY VEGAN and VEGETARIAN friendly. Indoor and outdoor seating; in fact they just revamped the outdoor patio with a new overhang and shade screens. The restaurant itself was very nice and the service was outstanding. Since I have only eaten there once, I can only comment on the food we were served. I had the shrimp wrap with spicy peanut sauce. I could not taste the shrimp at all because it was overpowered by the large amount of peanut sauce and it was just overall a very poor combination of ingredients. It was fresh and very nicely presented but I pretty much hated it. My wife had a smoked salmon wrap. She was unable to stomach the salmon. I guess it was cold smoked and had no smoke flavor. We had mango tea which was delicious, and also hummus which was not very good. I would go back but I would definitely order something that was harder to fail such as breakfast or an all vegetable dish. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE If YOU HAVE CELIAC DISEASE OR A FOOD ALLERGY. My mother and I visited Mango Bistro today after a "gluten-free" search on yelp. My mom has Celiac. Upon arrival we asked for a gluten free menu and Mom was very happy with the selection and excited to have a panini on gluten free rye bread. I ordered the satay panini and a cup of the lobster bisque. When Mom ordered her sandwich she specified that she wanted gluten free, but I was watching the waitress and she was looking off in the distance not making eye contact with us as we ordered. So I clarified again that my mom needed gluten-free to which the waitress replied "I heard you". She was very cold thru our whole lunch... not friendly at all until I told her that I loved her accent and after a few guesses she confirmed it was Russian. Then finally a smile. Fast forward about 2 hours and my Mom is having a Celiac reaction and very ill. The only meal we ate today is the one at Mango Bistro. I called and spoke to an employee who said they only clean a panini grill if a customer indicates they have a "bread allergy" and that most people just order gluten free as a dietary choice. So my mom was served a sandwich that was prepared on a grill that is used to cook regular bread... even though we specified twice that she MUST have gluten free. It's a shame, because we enjoyed the food and thought the Bistro itself was a fun and friendly place to eat. We even discussed coming back for breakfast later this week. If you are going to advertise a gluten-free menu, you must prepare those items with no contact to pans or utensils that are used on gluten items. Now our evening out to celebrate a birthday is cancelled because my mom will be sick for quite a while. UPDATE:Restaurant replied to a copy of this review on their Facebook page and basically denied responsibility and referenced a disclaimer on their menu that they are not a gluten free environment. For anyone with a serious food allergy, that is not OK. They do not clean instruments and claim to wrap gluten free items in foil but then cook them on cross contaminated surfaces. They should not be allowed to advertise with a separate gluten free menu. read more
