Ok. So we tried it again. I really want to like this place too! Got a Latte with Oatmilk and my partner got a cappuccino. It seemed like it took much longer than it should to get us our coffees. We were the only people waiting and there's 4 people behind the counter That being said we got our coffees. I specifically said I'd like a hot 'very hot' latte and cappuccino. Somewhat tongue in cheek but I said it nonetheless . My partner got the cappuccino and she said it was very hot. I got the Latte and it was between warm and warmer. The coffees were ok. This place is very quaint. It is decorated with a calm vibe (plants, music and a mural on the wall. The food was delicious. We had the blueberry lemon cake. It was very moist and full of flavor. So far so good with two visits here! I have only had lattes and they were both very good...I will update my review once I've tried some food. They have a wonderful selection of gluten free options so I am eager to try those. The five stars are mostly for the friendly faces that work there. You don't always get that everywhere, so I really appreciate how kind they are and they even brought our beverages to our table for us. Will definitely be returning as a local. read more

My second visit confirmed my suspicions from my first visit...I do not believe that the organic coffee is really organic. I have very strong reactions to non-organic coffee (and food in general) and am super picky about everything I consume because of it. I had a reaction on my first visit a year ago, and had a worse reaction from my second visit a couple weeks ago. The owner, who pestered us to leave a review while we were trying to read the menu, claimed he couldn't possibly use organic food for everything for some reason. The sign says it's an organic shop but I don't believe anything in there is organic. I know for a fact he does not use organic flour because I asked him. The menu itself looked like the food would be good tasting, so if that's what you care about then you'd probably like this place. The overall vibe I got is that they're pretending to be something they're not, and as someone who's chemically sensitive I do not appreciate that. read more

Came to get a smoothie from Mission as we walked around Venice to shop. It is a street over from the main shopping block. They had lots of gluten free and vegan bakery items that looked fresh and delicious. I ordered the PBJ & Chia smoothie, it was thick and healthy!
