There is a mix of food and beverage, vendors, arts, benders health and wellness vendors. Would I really like is how friendly a lot of the vendors are. And that they work together. For example, hoots and Mary bread actually promotes the Sanford cheese stand. And vice versa. While this farmers market is very small, it still provides for the things that I could use at home. They do have a vegetable and fruit spender that has reasonably priced vegetables such as $5, a bowl for potatoes, the tomatillas, onions, squashes, and so much other things. Amount of samples for the fruit so you can try before you buy. They've got a plethora of Chili's to spice up your food. Plus this farmers market is inside of a park next to the fire station and across the street from the police station. So I've never felt more safe going to a farmers market in my life. But this time it was a pleasant surprise. They are adhering to the covid protocols. At the entrance I saw a station with cleaning liquid and a cloth to clean the carts. But I didn't see a designated person doing it when I went. Inside, the store looked pretty clean. All the employees were wearing masks. They had glass/plastic shields at the check out counter. They also have markings for 6 ft distancing. The vegetables were fresh and everything was fully stocked. I am not sure if the veggies and fruits are organic. Will have to find that out. When I brought it to her attention, she denied it. I smiled and said, "Well it's only a few cents anyway. If you find your register is over at the end of the day, you'll know where it came from." I had given her a quarter; she counted it as a nickel. It's very immature and unprofessional and petty to hold such a grudge, thus I couldn't give 5 stars. But I don't let that stop me from enjoying the good qualities of shopping locally. They are pretty similar in price, if not cheaper than the big name stores, but their produce is always a better quality. The cashiers and staff are always friendly. Always get a receipt! They only do refunds if you have proof! The ambiance: It's a pretty good size store. They have produce, meats, fish and a good variety of dry goods. Throughout the rest of the day she kept talking about it. So, this past weekend I sampled it as well. WOW! I should have purchased a gallon it's so delicious. Need I say more? Okay... Dark leafy spinach, organic pine nuts, organic lemons, organic sweet basil & Italian herbs, fresh parmigiano-reggiano cheese swirled into creamy organic garbanzo beans. Sooooo... when we got home I dipped wheat thin sticks in it, YUM! The mango salsa consist of red onions, green peppers, silantro, organic lime juice, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and sea salt. They have a huge selection of foods and goods! The meats and produce looked so much fresher and well kept than large chain markets! And she told me how they were eaten and which foods to buy. We spent a couple of hours here filling up our shopping carts. And we even got some snacks to munch on in the car. I don't remember the names of the foods we bought but I must mention that the pastries were very tasty. There is a little bakery inside the market with layered sheet cakes and pastries that are a must try. We grabbed few pastries--- each one with different ingredients. The cabbage one was my favorite. You can eat it hot or cold. We also grabbed a few cheesecake like snacks and those were pretty tasty as well. If you're not familiar with Eastern European food, I recommend going with someone from there to help guide you in what to get. I promise you'll be in for a real treat!
