I've been coming here for about four years now. They have a wonderful variety of fresh produce that other shops don't have. They are pretty similar in price, if not cheaper than the big name stores, but their produce is always a better quality. The cashiers and staff are always friendly. Always get a receipt! They only do refunds if you have proof! The ambiance: It's a pretty good size store. They have produce, meats, fish and a good variety of dry goods. I happen to wander in here one day out of curiosity when I had a little spare time on my hands. I had no idea what to expect (I didn't do a Yelp sneak peak) and I was pleasantly surprised. This grocery store isn't very large, however, they make excellent use of the space that they have and stock a plethora of international foods. They have everything from "exotic" fruits/vegetables to a good selection of meats and canned goods. I've even seen fresh baked bread. To me, everything looks to be up to par with freshness and quality. For now, there are only a handful of items that I pop into this store to buy, however, if I set preferences aside I could definitely stock my pantry, frig and freezer from the finds here. If it's been a while since you've been here, check them out. They recently remodeled and have a lot more grocery staples than they did before. It's also cleaner and better organized. I've been shopping there since it was Harvill's years ago and this is the best iteration yet. If you want to pay 2-3x's more to go to Publix, that's your prerogative, but the produce selection is way better and the meat is affordable and just as good. read more

The have multiple stores in the area, I typically go to the one on 434 & 17/92. This market is a ok. Can be a bit messy at times, but produce prices are much lowers than the supermarket. For example, you can buy 2 bunches of cilantro for $1 same for green onions. The quality is not the best, sort of. I think they purchase what supermarkets don't want to buy. So if you can overlook a red pepper not having the typical nice shape, you are fine. When in season, I come here to buy peppers to make roasted peppers. Very sweet. For all the items sold, you need to really take your time and know when to go shop. Monday mornings seems not the best time at this particular store. Can't say from the other locations if it is the same. You get what is left of the vegetables not purchased from the weekend crowd. They do carry a nice selection of root vegetables like taro, yucca, sweet potatoes, etc. They also have a nice selection of spices sometimes find to hard at a regular supermarket. To the owner, take time and clean the store. I have walked out when I see produce items on the floor or items spoiled in the boxes. They are located in a strip mall, so parking is never a problem. read more

I stopped here yesterday 4/9/21 at around 5 pm at to obtain some Lemongrass tea bags and Soursop leaves. I asked the manager for these Items. because I was in a hurry and didn't have time to look. He said no I don't have them, I asked are your sure? He said no I don't have them, I told him the name in Spanish Guananaba, (I had already purchased some at the Altamonte Springs store and the Longwood store, a friend of mine had just purchased some at that same store) He said to me in a RUDE and condescending manner "Marijuana". I corrected him and said no Guanabana still telling me no again and with no intent on helping me, I gave up feeling as if I was put down by this rude individual. I will never return! He obviously doesn't know his store and he is definitely lacking in people skills. Also when I asked In the Longwood store the lady told me no. As I was looking right at the leaves, What Gives?? Lately the produce quality has gone down even further. You always had to be careful picking out veggies that did not have wrinkles mold or downright rot on them. The prices have gone up and when you end up with a rotten product it hurts. I bought a fresh cocoanut and it is spoiled. Just wasted my money and no cocoanut!! read more

Paleo diet's dream ... if your lenient on the organic thing :/ The signs for the produce are basically all hand written so nothing is listed with much detail. That being said, they do have great prices & variety on the produce. The meat prices are pretty decent, however, the quality is mediocre. I love that they have things that you wouldn't find at the average grocery store. I picked up some odd looking root vegetables for a stir fry later! I will have to notate the names on my next visit. Instantaneously forgetting them lol! Don't expect to get everything your looking for in one stop because the selection passes the fruit and meat is space. I have given Fancy Fruit business over the last 6 years and have visited 4 of their locations. People persons they are not, in addition the great variety of produce is often in bad shape. I want to love this store. I want to make it my go-to produce "stand", yet cashier rudeness this morning, (not going to mention her name) and less than fresh looking items, just turned me off. I'm sure I will go back at some point, I just hope they work things out, smile, and make some changes. read more

I love fancy fruit but took off a star due to the somewhat unpredictable quality of their produce. But otherwise they would be 5 Stars! This grocery store has reasonably priced and a wide variety of produce and meat. I've gotten a pint of good quality blueberries for $1! They also have a very tempting bakery with all the goodies. I also really like that they don't have a lot of packaging and unnecessary plastic! Your going to wash your produce once you get it home, no need to separate everything with plastic. read more

I go here with my family often because usually their fruits and produce are pretty good but today, my mom went through horrible treatment and this service should not be acceptable. Today, my mom went to buy strawberries and when she went out to check out at the register, the price for the strawberries were different from what was listed. The strawberries should have been $1.50, as the sign said 2 for $3 but she was charged $2.99 for 1. She asked the young woman at the register - the receipt says 'Lisbeth' was my mother's cashier - why she was charged so differently and the woman was mad? that my mom questioned the price and she SNATCHED the receipt out of my mom's hand. That is rude and unacceptable behavior. My mom has difficulty with English and was unable to say anything or call a manager to complain. She asked to just not buy the strawberries and asked for a refund while leaving the strawberries with the cashier. The cashier walked around to check the price and very angrily talked OVER my mom and tried to give her less than the money she owed. My mom asked for what was written on the receipt back and left the store. Although I like this store for the produce at times, I have to say that the quality of the fruits and produce can be unreliable at times. This, of course, isn't the reason my family will not be returning to this establishment, it is the mediocre service and the fact that no other co-worker of this woman went in to defend my mother who was being yelled at and had her receipt snatched from her hand . If you were looking for massive amounts of fresh produce then this is the store for you. Primarily aimed at the Latin market. You could still find all of the fresh vegetables for salad and cooking that we normally use. And if you want to twisted up a little bit, try some of the things that you've never had before. This is not all that great like some of this people say it is, the meats are not any cheaper then any where else as a matter of fact I saw steaks for $9-10 bucks so if the meat is supposed to be much cheaper here then this is a FAIL, also the produce are rotten, I noticed a lot of cantaloupes rotten with mold in the out side and it probably has been sitting there for a long time. It does not look like they rotate there fruits or switch them out frequently and I was there during the middle of the day on a Friday with a bunch of people there, if that is the case for the produce I can only imagine the meat has probably sat there for a while ( chicken,meats,pork) I also notice the labels on the meats did not have pull out dates just simply price per weight, weight and final price meaning the meat(s) most like have been sitting there for a long time even though from a sing they have to claim there meats are "FRESH' but how can that be prove if you don't have dates on it. Over all this place also has canned goods such as juices and beans and huge bags of rice, don't get me wrong I am not here to just bash any business but also to give the positive and the is only a few things positive I can think of but not enough to make me want to shop here often. They also have a sign saying how they do not add "Hormones" or other things to there meats but I highly doubt it if you don't pull that stuff everyday it will go bad and many of this business like to save money by keeping there meats on the shelf to sell for as long as possible. They do have a lot of meats ranging mostly in cuts for Hispanics but also for any one else and you can find some types of items such as pigs feet commonly eaten by Hispanic and other types of cuts. They also have a small frozen and dairy section, nothing special just your usual Milk and eggs. The milk is not any cheaper then at other places at about $3.69 per gallon and they also have Hispanic yogurts (La Yogurt) and fruit flavored juices such as bananas and strawberry and Guayaba. There canned section is quit extensive unlike at other Hispanic stores with a lot of Goya products and Malta and rice they also sell a few American products like Stove top and even seasonings and canned Octopus in oil or tomato sauce. This place is worth checking out but not really worth spending much, nothing I went to crazy about the only thing I like that I cant find anywhere else near by were the Hispanic yogurts and juices plus in there frozen section frozen Hispanic foods from Goya. read more

A hidden gem. I enjoy ethnic food, and being Hispanic myself it's nice I can get most of my groceries in one place. It's cheap and plentiful-- quantity never disappoints. I'd say it's a market more so for families because a lot of sales include buying multiple selections of produce or meat. If you live by yourself, do you really need two pineapples for $3? If you're Hispanic or Asian you can find most if not all the nostalgic ingredients to make your ethnic meal and it won't hurt your pocket. read more

Meat (skirt steak) we bought looked great, we weren't even planning to get any but it look wonderful so we did some shopping to make it at home. Produce is cheap and not all of it is great quality. I like that the portions are smaller with some items though to reduce waste. Short story is the steak did not smell but tasted completely rancid, neither of us could eat it (and if I make it at home and it doesn't smell I'll usually eat anything). Some of the produce is a little more ripe than what you may find at popular grocery stores, but the prices are amazing. I have never seen anything rotten and if something is too ripe for your taste, just don't buy that particular item here! That being said, I was going to purchase a bag of potatoes last time I was here and the smell coming from the potatoes was a little unsettling, so they aren't perfect! I have also purchased meat from here and their prices are better than what you will find at Walmart or Publix. I've never had a problem with the meat quality (although I've never bought chicken from here) and they have some meats that I haven't found in other stores (pork belly for example). Some things aren't cheaper here, like cheese and dairy, but it's worth it to stop in for produce and meat. They also have many ethnic products that you may struggle to find at other stores. I started shopping this year after focusing my diet on fresh fruits and vegetables. They have a very large selection, and for the most part their prices are very competitive. I have to be very careful when buying their produce. Freshness and quality is hit or miss. Sometimes they have excellent fresh vibrant options, other times half the inventory is already rotten still on the shelves. When their produce is quality you can save yourself anywhere from $15-$50 a week by buying here instead of a grocery store. They have really well priced Florida honey. It irks me when people refer to this place as a farmer's market. This is NOT a farmer's market, it's a produce store. All of their produce comes from California, Mexico or South America. Sheesh. Definitely worth a try - go in and assess quality for yourself. They also have a kiosk inside the front door for buying/selling gold. If you don't make eye contact they'll leave you alone. read more

This is a hidden gem if you're looking for fresh fruit and ethnic food offerings. Fancy Fruit and Produce is located at the end of an unassuming plaza that also has a Big Lots and a thrift store. When you walk in, it smells, well, like a Latin grocery store (if you have been to a Latin grocery store, you know what I'm taking about). It's a comforting smell for those of us who grew up going to small ethnic stores, but may be "different" for those that are not used to this. Also, the interior seems a bit lack-luster and a tad on the dirty side, but if you are able to move past these factors, you will not be disappointed! You will find the freshest produce and meat products in the area - sometimes even better than the local farmers' markets. Also, they are very cheap! As many of the other reviews have already stated, this is a great place to get cheap fruit and produce. They have a wider selection of spanish foods (correction, fruits, veggies, cuts of meats) than our trusty Publix would hold. I know Bravo and Sedanos may also carry these products as well, but if you live on this side of Semoran, the choices regarding spanish produce supermarkets really become slim pickings. I choose to shop here because of the convenience to my home and to a publix so that my shopping is an all in one event, but because there are many times where I crave tropical fruits and avocados that almost always seem to be not ripe at Publix. Also, my holiday colombian food shopping list is usually more than adequately filled by solely shopping in here. I'd suggest just venturing around in here someday, just so you can compare prices and see what they have in stock that may interest you. This is an excellent location for fruits vegetables that you can't really find in your run of the mill supermarkets. The prices are extremely competitive and you can't go wrong. This location is bigger than the Longwood location and has a nice refrigerated area for proteins (meats) that the Longwood location doesn't have. This store does have the "latin market" feel with a little perfume shack that also cells you the cell phone accessories if I remember and also a gold buyer. Too funny!!! The cashier was VERY rude (wore a heavy blue jacket) . She told me there was a scale and when I went back I saw her and she seemed very angry . She told there wasn't a scale and rolled her eyes. Fancy Fruit & Produce is about five minutes from where I live, and I was glad to discover it because the prices on produce are amazing. I haven't had a problem finding fresh produce here. Now, I will say that there are days that I go and they are out of many things I want or it's been picked over, but I simply ask when the next shipment will be in and return on that day. I've since learned what days they replenish the produce I eat, and I just go and shop those days. I also like the selection of dried legumes. I'm a vegetarian who eats lots of fresh produce in my diet, so this place is a godsend. I spend about $15 a week here for what I'd spend $30 to $40 on in the other local supermarkets.
