Took a blouse in with a stain but they charged me for a dress I guess because I'm a BBW. But they got the stain out

I've been taking my dry cleaning and a few alterations to this location for 13 years. Very…read moreconvenient for shopping at Kroger and getting a haircut at Cost Cutters. However, recently Vogue stopped accepting coupons which, in my case, provided a 20% discount. Mostly, I have shirts dry cleaned. Without the coupon discount, the cost for dry cleaning each shirt is $7.00 which is very high compared to other dry cleaners in the area. I took four shirts to another dry cleaner (all cleaning done on site and same quality of service) in Spring Branch and the cost was more than half price: $3.25 per shirt. Although the staff is very friendly and I've never had an issue with the cleaning service nor a lost/misplaced garment, I feel that I've been overcharged for the past years. Unfortunately, Vogue has lost a loyal customer.

Taking nothing away from the other reviews, which I note many are a year + old, here was my first…read moreexperience. I just moved to the area and due to COVID/working from home, I hadn't been to a dry cleaner since February. Vogue is very close to my home so I gave them a shot. Throwing caution to the wind, I took everything in for my wife and I. 30 articles of dress shirts, polos, sweaters, slacks, blouses and dresses. Not cheap articles either - Louis V, Boss, Zegna, Dior, etc. This could have been a huge mistake. It wasn't. As it was our first visit, we QC'd everything after getting the clothing back home. My wife gave the OK on her dresses and blouses - Check. My items, which were the majority, came out fine as well. A few notes, I always check buttons since that is always a failure point for all dry cleaners. All good. Some of my shirts had "marks" from the previous West U cleaner who claimed they couldn't be cleaned despite them owning up to the mistake. I didn't even tell Vogue and they got both out! A+. The staff was super friendly, excited we were new customers and even gave us their 20% discount coupon just for being new. FYI, that coupon is found on the back of receipts for the Kroger located in the same parking lot. Apparently you need to present said coupon when dropping off not at pick up. One reviewer pointed out, it would be nice to have a unit count or some kind of inventory at drop off for comfort sake. I received a receipt with unit count on my visit. This may have changed since that review. The items are logged in the computer (see receipt) for additional tracking. The final tally, $215 for the 30 items after the coupon. Not cheap, but I was actually expecting more. Some parting thoughts, all work is performed on site, so no shipping off to a central location, they recycle hangers and do alterations. Let's be honest, what dry cleaner gets it right all of the time? None. I typically end up disappointed or worse with whoever I use, but today I'm satisfied with Vogue. I'll update if things change in the future, but for now I'm going back.

I am saddened that the once great dry cleaners has slowly diminished over the years. I took a single item in at 8am this morning I needed to be ready at the end of the day (since the windows still advertise in by 9 out by 5). The attendant just looked at me and said we just have too much and tomorrow is the soonest available. The quality has gone way down and prices are not cheap. Now, they over-advertise and don't deliver. I recommend avoiding if possible. I'm on the hunt for a new dry cleaners...

But it would suffice for casual work clothes. I do not take items here that are expensive. However, the services have gotten even worse in the last year. The ladies at the front are very nice and always willing to redo. The items. Sometimes the items are returned a bit better and sometimes there's no difference. There is literally no concern at this location for quality of work. I'm on the search for a new dry cleaners in the Bellaire area or along I 10 between 610 and Wilcrest. The photos are just a few examples. I always have to press my clothing before I put it on. My ironing board stays up for this reason. And they've recently gone up on their prices.
