Abysmal. 14 years ago, they lost my favorite trousers. Came back because people had told me they were better. Took 2 pieces of clothing one sportcoat one shirt was promised they would be ready the next day. They were not going today. Shirt is still not ready. Jacket looks like it hasn't even been cleaned and in fact looks worse than when I dropped it off to them. You have to have an extra special level of incompetence to do such a crap job. read more

They damaged my brand new pants, they not say anything to me when I pick them up and when I went to tell them what had happened they refused to take ownership on what they did. Owner is really nice and it is inexpensive. However, I have only been going there for a few months and after the first few times I returned home with a suit that had a stain on the pocket (wasn't there when I first took it). I took it back and pointed it out and I got blamed for the stain so paid for it to be dry cleaned a second time. The last time I picked up my garments I noticed the sleeves on my blouse were completely destroyed. I had to throw the shirt away because it couldn't be repaired. Cheap, but not worth it to have to buy new clothes every few months. read more

Dropped off 3 pants to get hemmed which were measured off by the owner. After picking them up and trying them on, 2 pants were correct but the third was way too long. I took the incorrect pants back to the shop and explained the situation to the owner. He tried to explain how he measured them and I accepted the length so they are correct. I let him know that they were over an inch longer than the other pants, so it's more like whoever did the work messed up on this pair of pants. He finally conceded and said they would correct them. I told him to take one inch off the bottom, which he put into the system and gave me a pick up ticket. When I go back to pick them up, the owner wasn't there so the lady at the counter tried to charge me for them. I told her what the situation was and after a few minutes she gave me the pants. I go home to try them on and realize that they had not been corrected and now there are dark marks on both legs of my brand new pants. At this point, I'm over this shop. There are too many options for dry cleaners to deal with things like this at any business. read more

Really wanted to like this place. Dropped off a brand new velvet top that had been worn once for an hour max. It was in perfect condition. I picked it up and there was visible damage on the very front, it looked like the fabric had been burned or smashed, since it's black velvet, I don't know how this happened. The hem was also completely unsewn, no clue how this happened either. The owner proceeded to tell me how "nothing in the cleaning process" could have damaged it and how if they had taken the hem out, a thread would be hanging... this makes zero sense. I asked if he personally cleaned the item and could guarantee "nothing happened" to it and he said no, but again "nothing we could have done and I must have damaged it myself." Absolutely zero attempt to make it right and resorted immediately to blaming me and escaping any responsibility whatsoever. Unfortunately I'm out 100 bucks on a brand new blouse and will never be returning. read more

As a new resident of the Heights this place was convenient and seemed to be a long established business with a neighborhood connection / feel to it. Like many others, I had a good relationship with this business for over a year, but the first time I had a problem the owner refused to even recognize the legitimacy of my complaint. Long story short, a shirt was damaged; I believed they ruined it while the owner insisted it was "normal wear and tear." Not knowing the process they use and conceding the fact that the shirt was not new (although it was conspicuous that the only part where the shirt was damaged was clearly where they had pressed it) I was willing to reach a compromise that was fair to both customer and owner (it was just a shirt and things happen, was my rationale). However, the owner refused to even acknowledge liability and rather than split the cost of the shirt, told me he does not need my business, and although my monthly account nearly approximates the value of the shirt, he was more than willing to let me walk out the door. As it turns out, I did and immediately found Wolfe's cleaners on Studewood and cannot be happier with their service. If this place is convenient for you, I suggest you use it, but be aware that the owner is uncompromising in any mistakes on the part of their business - not what I would call a neighborhood business. read more
