I recently decided to ditch heavy, cheap, dramatic extensions because they were damaging my natural lashes. During my search for a new salon that uses higher-quality products for a more natural volume look, one of my coworkers recommended Manhasset Lash Bar. Although their price list is a bit more expensive than I'm used to, I booked an appointment anyway because new customers get 30% off. Street parking is hilariously easy compared to the Bayside/Flushing salons I'm used to frequenting. My technician determined that an oval lash map would suit my eye shape best. I decided on a C14 mink set, and was guided into a private area closed off from other customers by actual walls rather than thin curtains. The bed was so comfortable, I fell asleep within a few minutes of starting! Halfway through both eyes, she removed the tapes and gave me a mirror to confirm that I liked how it looked so far. The rest of the appointment went by quickly, it only took about an hour total to apply 110 pieces per eye. As a testament to their work's longevity, ZERO pieces fell out during the first week and they still looked good (slightly thinner, minimal gapping) 3 weeks later when I came back for my fill. I had the most pleasant experience here. Everything about this lash shop screams luxury: the overall design of the place, the music selections, the service, and the skills of the technicians. Love this place! My new go to spot. Visited this lash bar on Friday with my sister. Everything from the customer service to the atmosphere and ambiance was on point. They were extremely friendly and patient. You are served coffee or tea as well as some tasty treats upon arrival. You are then taken to a private section where they lie you down on a heated table (so warm and cozy). They did a fabulous job! I chose C12 mink, cateye. This is definitely a quality place. This place just got everything right. The inside is clean and aesthetically pleasing. The lady at the front desk is very sweet and she takes your temperature before you begin your appointment. There were small individual rooms with one bed in each so you don't have to worry about being crowded next to other people as you get your lashes done. The technician was clean and thoughtful, she washed her hands before consulting with me. Then, she let me see the different lashes she had available, explained the differences between silk and mink, and showed me picture examples of several shapes before giving me her own recommendations based on my own eye shape and lash health. My lashes were in bad condition from a previous appointment at a different lash salon, but this technician took good care of them and gave me tips to keep them healthy. She also let me check and see that I liked the shape and length after placing ~30 lashes on one eye before continuing on. They also gave me a little gift bag for coming in as a new client. I went to Manhasset Lash Bar on New Years eve to get my eyelashes extensions. Julia worked on my lashes. I was nervous since I did not have a good experience the first time at another place. Julia made sure I was comfortable and explained everything to me including the process and how each material feels. She showed me pictures of different looks and gave me excellent recommendations on what would work with my eyes and face. I decided on the mink bold cat eye look. I love this place! I made a last minute appointment on a sunday morning. The ladies there were very helpful and took the time to discuss what eyelash shape would look best on my eyes. I previously gave my last experience 5 stars I really didn't want update my review because of how nice they are and the great customer service they provide, but to be fair to others that find places based off reviews I had to be fair. This was my second time getting lashes here. I've had them done multiple times at other places. I'm not sure who the technician was but I immediately began losing lashes after getting them done. I called the next day to tell them and they told me to come in so that they could fix the issue. After counting, they told me I had lost 30 lashes within a day. I thought this was nice of them to be so honest. They could have denied it. I'm not sure who the tech was that fixed the issue for me but she was very sweet and made them look beautiful. She apologized and I left. The next day I left for vacation and woke up with an extremely swollen and painful eye. It hurt every time I blinked and I spent a lot of time with compresses on my eye. The swelling and pain settled within 3 days. However now it is 2 weeks later and the lashes have become so extremely dry and brittle that they're driving me insane. I'm losing lashes at a very quick rate (which would be fine because I can't stand them anymore) except they're taking my real lashes out with them. I must add I follow all directions with my lashes. Don't wet them for first 24 hours, brush them out after getting them wet. I don't wear eye makeup. I don't use makeup remover. This has been a pretty bad experience. Maybe they changed their glue I don't know. But unfortunately I won't be returning. read more

I came here by chance because my regular lash salon was booked for the holidays. I was so happy with the service and the results of my lashes. It has been about 7 weeks and only now I need a fill in. (I am very careful with my lashes so they usually stay good for a long time) I got 75 lashes per eye and my eyes look amazing. A little more expensive then my other salon but I think the service is worth it. Jessie was very professional and I love the length of lashes she used. I am going back this week for fill ins. I was not a regular eyelash extension goer. But ever since I go to this place, l m totally hooked. I didn't want to have a fake look. Instead, I wanted to enhance my existing beauty and Sue completely understood what I was looking for and delivered it perfectly. She took extra time to look into my face and suggested what's better shape, length, material and color for me. It is not like I m one of their many customers, but I m the only one if I may say. I also did my eyeliner tattoo and it made me look much put together and awake, though it is very subtle. Now I m thinking to get my hairline tattoo because I have this annoying spot toward the front of my hair after giving birth of my daughter 3 yrs ago. The lashes look nice when you get them done, but upon (professional) removal my lashes were extremely short and stubby. I was told by the professional who removed that this should never happen and is the result of them either using low quality products or using lashes that aren't the material advertised and thus are too heavy. It's super clean and comfortable yet detailed with elegance. Second, the technicians - extremely talented and skilled with precision. These ladies are the real deal; they know what they are doing! I opted for the mink eyelash extensions at Jessi's recommendation, and OMG, why didn't anyone suggest this before?! The mink lashes are so much softer than the silk lashes. They give you a more natural look while still giving off that "HOT DAMN" effect! Best of all, there is zero discomfort unlike the other dozen times I've gotten lash extensions. Jessi has the hands of an angel. I hardly even noticed she was there. I also got microblading done by Sue. She was so extremely thorough in assessing my face, my facial muscle movement and the natural arch of my brows, I found myself trusting her completely. Absolutely love this place. I was used to going to the city for my lashes. Although they did a great job the commute was pretty annoying. Needless to say I was going on vacation and decided last minute that I needed my lashes done over. I called and was able to get an appointment the same day. Sue has been doing my extensions and she does an amazing job. I have tried the natural look but Sue recommended that i try the cat eye and I've fallen in love with it. Even if you're not very into lashes you won't regret it, I was never one to get lash extensions and now I'm a slight addict lol. They have heated beds that make you feel super comfortable and relaxed especially after a long day of work, I personally tend to fall asleep.
