The biggest downfall is the caretaker and her family…read more After having multiple meetings with the manager of the cottage, I was told I'd have full access to the parking spots available, the fridge would be cleared out, and I'd have the space to do my event without interruption. This did not happen at all. Upon arriving there were cars parked in the spaces for this venue, the fridge was half full, and the caretaker has shown up throughout the event. The first time she showed up was when I first got there to tell me the do's and don'ts of the venue, she even told me I could not open the doors (even though the manager told me many times it would be no problem and in fact they would be open upon arriving). Then during the event the caretaker, her husband and her kids were walking all around and even playing right outside the door. While getting some forgotten things from my car, the caretaker's husband also came outside and was watching me take the forgotten things out. Lastly, while cleaning up the venue when the event was over the caretaker took it upon herself to come in and tell us to "get out or else". Not only did she threaten us, but she even got in the face of a child and told him he had to leave. I cannot believe the racism that unfolded in front of my eyes. I would not recommend this place again based off of the caretaker's actions.

You have to be accompanied by a member to attend the pool . It's so beautiful , the water is nice and blue and clean . They have tons of lifeguards on duty and every 30 mins they switch shifts .

The school is your classic high school, classrooms, lockers lining the corridors, a library, various offices, bathrooms, and teacher lounges. The board room is right next to the library and it's an impressive board room. The board has a platform that they can be seen on while conducting board business they are equipped with mics so they can be heard. They have a projector screen for presentations. When they hold a public works session sometimes they hold it in their administrative offices and space in that room is a little tight. The school looks pretty clean. I don't know how it is to go to high school here, but from the perspective of a part time journalist who comes here on occasion it isn't bad.

We explored many options in the neighborhood and I'm convinced that Playgarden is the most nurturing, caring and stimulating environment for little ones. She's learned so much and loves her teachers. It has a strong literary focus and the kids get exposed to music, movement, science, nutrition and letters every week. The teachers work so hard and always impress me with the lessons for children. You can also tell that teachers love their students and their job. From experience, I can say that that is not always the case. We also love getting to take advantage of the indoor playground, especially in bad weather. Can't recommend enough!

I still remember what I was told the first day of Freshmen Orientation. "Take a good look at the person to your right, your left, in front of you, and behind you. At least one person you just looked at, will not be with you come graduation." Yeah, that not only scared me half to death, but I knew this was only for serious engineering students. It was true - actually - only one person that was next to me at orientation made it to graduation with me. It was the hardest four years of my life, and the greatest decision I have made to come to this institution. Professors are your backbone, your classmates your reality check, your family your lifeline, and your degree the sweetest moment of glory you've ever felt. I'm a bit sad about the name change to the Polytechnic Institute of NYU, but it is still good 'ol Poly to me. Great honor and privilege to be an Alumni.
