It's a mill. Don't waste your time. This practice does not respect that its patients have jobs. Don't go here. Also, they fail to explain known side effects of statins and the known supplements that address them. The shortest I've ever waited for my appointment has been 30 minutes. It's typically over an hour. Last time I waited over an hour for my appointment and had to reschedule. When it did happen, I waited again, and sat strapped to a machine for 30 minutes waiting for the doc. If you value your time, don't waste it here. It's a mill. I have been a patient of this practice for approximately 15 years. My most recent visit was to obtain clearance for upcoming cataract surgery. Both Dr. Amirian and Cindy Sutantio were extremely attentive and were even interested in non-cardio tests and medical appointments which I had since my last visit. I hate this place. Very disorganized. They have a ton of staff yet they still somehow took me an hour late for my appointment. Then the nurse asks me questions and then the main person/nurse practitioner or PA I see asks me the same questions again. Then they make me do all these things without explaining it that well or how long it takes or if it is even covered by my insurance or what it costs. So I do EMG test then a ultrasound which I thought would take 15 mins, takes an hour and is pretty painful. A lot of waiting in-between each test too. Then when I thought I was done they randomly tell me I need to take home a heart monitor and wear it 24/7 besides showers which I had no idea I had to do or if i even needed since I'm in my 30s. Then they wanted me to come back to do a stress test. The entire appointment which I thought would be simple to talk about high cholesterol ended up taking 3 HOURS!!! I should of been put on payroll, it felt like I was working there. I really dont want to ever go back to this place. And after the 4 days of heart monitor, over like ten days passed and they still never reached out to me to explain the results. This place needs new management, right now it is just a factory for seeing as many people as possible with the worst service. read more

No one should use this facility in Manhattan. I made an appointment to see a cardiologist, and confirmed that my insurance would be accepted, took the day off, drove in from Long Island, arrived at the office, filled in my paperwork, and then was turned away because they didn't accept my insurance, they said. The only way I could have seen a doctor would've been to pay $500 out of my own pocket. Sure, they apologized for their mistake, but I have still wasted a day. Do you really want to entrust your heart health to a facility that makes this type of crass era? read more

I scheduled an appointment for a PCR COVID test and when I got there they said they couldn't do it unless I left my credit card on record with them. They should've told me they'd ask for that before scheduling the appointment. They refused to test even when I complained and spoke to a manager. Then, today, I received a bill with a $225 charge for having completed "a detailed history; a detailed examination; and medical decision making of low complexity. Counseling and/or coordination of care". They didn't provide those services. Isn't that billing fraud? I called billing and they didn't pick up. I may change this review if they resolve my case but, so far, I'm pretty annoyed at their process. read more

My experience with taking my daughter to the clinic was below average. The clinic performed redundant tests that my insurance companies refused to pay for as they were redundant, and I have Aetna as my insurance. A few months later, she went to the clinic again and was treated very poorly. In her sickness, she was made to wait extra and was only examined when she had to pay for all the redundant, extra tests that were done. In addition, the bills were sent in the Doctor's name while she never once was examined or treated by a doctor. I came to this place as I was referred here due to great service. The purpose of my visit was for an annual physical exam. Prior and during the visit, i've asked the doctor and receptionist to not do any additional medical procedures outside of the annual physical check up. If there were any medical procedures necessary, i wanted to be given a heads up so to avoid any surprise medical bills. To my surprise when I got my bill 1 month later, i was charge for an Echo test. I was reluctant to post a review here, but I feel it would be a disservice to potential new patients to not be totally transparent about this place. That's the difference between Manhattan Cardiology & me. Like other reviewers, I have been subjected to multiple unnecessary tests that my insurance ultimately covered, but I think it's excessive to make me do a stress test every year. I have since switched to another cardiologist because I wasn't even seen by a doctor the last time I had an annual check-up/echo here. Mind you - I am someone who has had open heart surgery, so the very least I would expect from a yearly check-up would be a conversation with a live, board-certified cardiologist. I have nothing against NPs, but after being treated for severe mitral regurgitation due to mitral valve prolapse, I would be more comfortable getting the yearly all-clear from a cardiologist. I also want to add that I have had a couple doctors remark that this place does not have the best reputation, and one doctor even said that they rejected a job offer because they thought the risk of being investigated or audited was pretty high. Doctors are typically discreet, so how bad is it if another doctor is saying this openly to a patient about another practice? read more

My wife and I went for routine appointments. Scheduling was very easy. We did the appointment from their website. They confirmed the appointment. I called back and was able to get the receptionist on the phone. We requested for one physician to see us both. When we showed up we were attended to right away. But they had us scheduled with 2 different providers. One of the medical assistants was not happy with this and was not professional. Granted the rest of the team including the physicians, techs, nurses etc. are excellent. Dr. Malaney has excellent bedside manners and took her time to ask and examined both of us. I feel just because one person is having a bad day the rest of the team should be punished. Great technology, great service, good experience, excellent medical care. We will be returning. read more

Try to get an appointment, try to talk to the doctor, try to get a call back!!! Watch out for the charges and services - they just billed me for something from 2020 and have no clue for what. I went for a physical in September and before walking out the door i got a call from the cardiologist to make an appointment for a stress test which I don't need. Money hungry!!! Help! *Don't be shocked by an unnecessary bill and limited communication from the billing department! It sounds like I'm not the only one with this story -- I went to Medical Offices of Manhattan for my annual physical, which is fully covered by my insurance under preventative care. I'm 29F with no pre-existing conditions and in good health (exercise regularly, good diet, etc. etc). During the visit I was given an echo and they "detected an irregular rhythm." The doctor and PA advised I go home with a MOME/Holter monitor device and wear it for a week for testing. I explicitly asked what this device was for and if it would be covered by insurance / what the expectations were for costs. They adamantly said to not worry about it because it would be covered by insurance. Fast forward, and I now have a $1500+ bill. ... not what I expected walking out of what should have been a run-of-the-mill annual physical. I'd been in communication with Manhattan Cardiology's billing department for months and they said my refute was under review by management (they confirmed this once via email -- no replies to any of my other follow ups about automatic billing). As of today there have been no updates on the review status but they've automatically charged my credit card anyways. Please be proceed with caution here. read more
