When I tell you that the Manhattan village has one of the best customer service tandems in the business, you better take that and RUN WITH IT. After doing a little shopping at nearby William and Sonoma, I had a few questions to ask these two, and boy was I not prepared for the answers! Within 15 minutes, I realized the concierge services offered here are top tier. Bren and Hope (pictured) informed me they can cater to Village customers by: 1) providing you with a ticket to secure your luggage or baggage you wish to safely store while you shop at your convenience... 2) provide wheelchair rentals for the disabled or physically challenged... 3) make restaurant reservations for you... 4) charge your phone(s) while you shop... 4) answer a plethora of questions you may have regarding all things Manhattan Village. I like Manhattan Village as an additional area to shop besides Manhattan Ave/Manhattan Beach but it feels too much like another cookie cutter shopping mall to me .. although it is nice and has some workout wear name brands which are cool, and that's good ..... but to me it has very little else besides STK steakhouse which of course is great ...,I love the food there ...., other than that ... it really isn't a "shopping destination" to me other than going there to charge the car. This review is for the security guard Edgar. Running errands on a Monday morning, pulling into the Manhattan Village I realized there was something really wrong with my dad's car. One of the tires were completely falling apart. I didn't know what to do, I don't have triple A. I went inside and asked security for help. Edgar so graciously came and helped put the spare on. I'm not much of a mall person anymore. Having grown up in the 80s, malls used to be a huge part of life, but sometimes they're a necessity. Since Manhattan Village got its facelift, I've visited several times for restaurants and a few stores I frequent, like Apple. I must say, their remodel is really impressive. I love the outdoor space, and the mall itself is clean, bright, and very pleasant to walk around. If I have to visit a mall, Manhattan Village is definitely one I don't mind visiting. 5 stars! read more

Love coming to this mall. Havent been there many times but the few times I have its been a good experience. Ive been wanting to leave a review but havent had the chance or real urge until last night's visit. I came to the Village to eat at California Pizza Kitchen. Once I was nice and full, I went to Macy's to buy my wife a purse and then to the Vans store for some new shoes for my kids. As I was leaving, I completely forgot where I parked at, I completely got turned around for some reason. I contacted a security guard, big gentleman named Erik that assisted me and got me back in the right direction. We cannot have nice things (for free) seems to be the motto of life. When this mall was renovated a few years back, the new "green" space in the center held so much potential. Whelp, a few years later it's far more worn and still lacking many stores. Facing the green-faux-grass area are still four empty storefronts! Yikes. To make matters worse, the seating used to have some cushions - now the slats are bare. Yes, there is still a nice vibe. Yes, they do host events like a recent wellness/fitness day. But the shabby is starting to show. Shocking when there are shops with $27 socks. This place also is full of little kids rolling on the faux sod, so watch where you step. At least the water elements are working most days, and there are plentiful (pay) car chargers. Could be worse! The nearby mall just north has no chargers (how is that even allowed?!) I come to the mall every time for shopping, as usual. The same employee abruptly approached me in my car. I was just sitting there for five minutes, finishing the last sentence of my Kindle book before driving off. She insulted me and claimed I was loitering, even though she had seen me leave Macy's five minutes earlier. She was recording me and herself on her phone. I called Tonyia in security and spoke with her professionally about my shopping experience. She said I shouldn't have been loitering. This was discriminatory and harassing. I buy a lot from your stores and frequently eat and drink at Reborn and Sunlife. I regularly shop at Macy's and CVS. I am upset. It is not my fault that time passed quickly. I went to my lawyer and he said to hire a lawyer to sue this whole team. read more

Devon, Coby, and Edgar in Security and Bren the Concierge are my heroes! I dropped off my phone at the Apple Store for repair and walked my dog around the shops outside. At some point, I lost an earbud. The odds of finding something so small were very slim. I backtracked but didn't find anything. The staff at the Apple Store suggested I ask the Concierge. He didn't have anything but called Security to see if they might. To my absolute SHOCK, they had it! One of the security guards, Edgar I believe, found it and picked it up before it got run over or kicked into the dirt. Massive thanks to the whole team. I'm still in shock. The good: I discovered this area through a mom Instagram account. This is a family friendly mall area with an outdoor space that is great for kids because there's artificial turf, a fun fountain to look at (or touch, if you're my toddler) and lounge chairs. There are restaurants, clothing shops and both an indoor and outdoor mall area. The parking structure was spacious and free of cost. The stores are mostly higher end and the overall area is very granola-vibes. I really enjoyed the cupcake ATM machine at Sprinkles. The bad: I wish there wasn't a road in the middle of the shopping area. It'd be easier to let my toddler roam while we walked without fear of her getting into the road. The road is right by the outdoor space where the kids play. The interesting: There are lots of boutique stores that aren't part of a chain in addition to chain stores and restaurants. The point is another similar outdoor shopping area with restaurants and shops that is really close by. read more

Always a pleasure to visit here. When the weather is perfect sitting outside enjoying the amenities is a must. Grabbing a delicious ice cream from Handel's Handmade or dinning at one of the local restaurants you simply can't go wrong. It's also a nice spot to bring your furry friends. My two pups definitely love coming along. Working from home can be a tad boring so sometimes I enjoy packing up my laptop and sitting in fort the apple store to get work with a view in. Wi-Fi is high speed and makes for a nice change of pace. What ever the occasion Manhattan village is perfect for any person. A major perk is its single level and absolutely ada friendly. I am training a guide dog for the blind and brought my dog to the village to help her learn to interact with people. We met up with another person training their dog similarly. Our dogs are still puppies. Mall police arbitrarily decided to tell us we shouldn't be there, yet many other people with larger dogs were still there. We were told to talk to all management. They told us dogs larger than 15 lbs are not allowed. Why is the mall police being arbitrary and capricious and predges against us teaching guide dogs too assist blind people? They have many restaurants that are semi new like Joeys and BOA many things have been updated and many charging stations as well. We initially wanted to grab lunch at Joe's however due to the overwhelmingly long wait time and excess amount of people dining in, we had to dip out (although we saw empty tables inside). I love shopping at Manhattan Village! The stores are clean, efficient, spacious, and rarely overcrowded. There are several banks, which I find extremely handy because we use different banks for different services. There is ample parking including three multi-level parking structures that have electronic signs showing how much parking is available on each level. The elevators are clean, fast, and modern. It is very easy to navigate the Village with the electronic layout stations. But the thing I treasure the most is the active security provided by the security force. The security personnel are always present and make their rounds regularly. The security officers are always polite, friendly, well dressed, and active. I have developed a deep appreciation of how seriously they take their job without being overbearing. I regularly enjoy brief conversations with Owens, Shar, and Edgar. They are always pleasant to interact with and really seem to care about the patrons of Manhattan Village. read more

Whoever and whichever firm is responsible for the redesign of this place should find new careers. The parking lot design is illogical and will be a bigger mess as more restaurants continue to open. The steps on the parking lot stairs are slanted down so be careful. It's a lawsuit waiting to happen when someone falls and hurts themselves. Elevators already have out of service signs posted on them regularly. The list of restaurants and stores coming to the Village is very impressive but traffic and frustration may drive customers away. read more
