But it has been awhile prior to our first restaurant run. Truly a great beachside destination. Plenty of eateries (and many of them dog friendly!) and shops for everyone's budget. The beach is literally a block or two away and parking isn't horrendously expensive unlike some other beaches or shorelines. (A buck and a half per hour is a steal!) It's a pretty chill and kickback area. Some grub spots have live bands/music you can vibe to. But the best part of the village is definitely walking by the shores! The views. Of the water alongside the mountains are breathtaking. I imagine the best time to come through is during the spring and summer. We have yet to experience the area during the fall and winter seasons. The atmosphere felt cozy and energetic at the same time with music, friendly voices, and the smell of fresh food filling the air. Teenagers would love how easy it is to explore because everything is close together and full of personality. The service at the small shops felt personal and welcoming which made the whole experience feel more meaningful. The value was impressive because there were many affordable treats and unique items that did not feel overpriced. The quality of the stores and food stands was high and everything felt thoughtfully arranged. The selection was wide enough to keep teenagers entertained whether they wanted snacks, clothes, handmade items, or just a fun place to walk. I have only been there once before writing this review but it was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable places I have visited. I highly recommend that teenagers go there because it gives them a chance to feel independent, creative, and connected to a lively community.

It's still an open air shopping center but they're putting a big emphasis on community gathering. They do a lot of events like a Spring Carnival and Egg Hunt. They also upgraded the ice rink under the LA Kings brand. There's also lots of new restaurants. I found a new favorite via Pho Red Bo and I spotted a yummy dessert spot via Fika Fika Creamery. Though lots of change, it was nice to see Regal Promenade still here. This movie theatre was my go- to movie theatre a few years back and I have found memories of this spacious (not crowded) theatre. Overall, I was happy to visit the new Promenade PV. It's nice to see this outdoor area gaining more popularity and it's so refreshing to see the new restaurants and events they have here.

It's main feature is an ice skating rink, named the LA Kings Ice PV, used for as a community rink for skating and hockey. It has free parking via a large parking garage attached. It is no longer a shopping center (a lot of empty storefronts), but more a community space for Palos Verdes, with a large number of restaurants, a bunch of sporting and gaming facilities, and medical businesses, including a large UCLA health clinic. We came a week before Thanksgiving, and a beautiful Christmas tree was up, providing some good picture opportunities.

The area is home to 19 businesses as of right now. - Eateries: The Bar - Handrolls by Seabutter, goop Kitchen, California Fish Grill, Northern Cafe, Veggie Grill, and Pinkberry - Fitness: Barry's, Hot 8 Yoga, & Stretch Lab - Other Businesses: Code Ninjas, fireflies (haircuts for kids), Sylvan Learning, Legacy Dance Academy, Color Me Mine, Breeze Pediatric Dentistry, One Medical, Orange Twist, The Now, and Hammer & Nails There is free parking in front of businesses and nearby small lots. Finding parking can be a challenge from lunch time through the evening. We have not had a problem, though. I've come here just for the food. The Bar - Handrolls by Seabutter is a wonderful new addition! On my last visit, I got take-out from goop Kitchen. Both places have delicious food. I also got pizza from Oath Pizza in the past, but they're no longer here. The Bar took over that space. This small shopping area is clean and inviting. Scattered around here are are places to sit and relax. goop Kitchen is just a take-out spot with no place to dine inside. I brought my lunch outside to a nearby picnic table. It was so convenient! It felt unnecessary since I was already done and just sitting quietly. feel the security guard could use more training on how to handle situations like this without escalating or making people feel targeted. I wasn't aware that using flags for a short video wasn't allowed, since the property is private. I've seen other people filming there regularly, so I didn't think it would be an issue. When I was approached, I was told that police could be called, but it wasn't clearly explained what rule I was breaking or whether I needed a permit. I was already finished and just sitting down quietly, so the situation felt unnecessary and confusing. The security did not approach me in a respectful or calm way. Their tone came across as rude and aggressive, and it was followed by threats to call the police.

The shops here are: Bada Coffee Ralphs Dollar Tree Jack's Pizza Great Clips Peninsula Urgent Care Dentists of South Bay Sally Beauty Supply Cleaners Taco Bell is at the corner of Calle Mayor & PCH. Not sure how this plaza got its' name, but there is a huge Plaza Mayor that was completed in Madrid, Spain in 1619. That plaza looks to be so different from this one. Looking on Google, there is no count of how many "Plaza Mayor"are in the world! It simply translates to "Main Plaza" but is usually a central public square. Signage with the list of stores here is outdated. They need to update them.

There are tons available closer to Nordstrom Rack/Sprouts area, if you don't mind a little walk. There is a really good variety of businesses in this general area. And I really like that it's close enough to home. The convenience of it all is what drives me back over and over again.

Moving forward, the regulars who come to FV are like a family. They have lived years together meeting at FV to gather, communicate, eat together, laugh, share stories, listen to live music, and watch the changes and greave amongst one another as they see the regulars no longer show up and welcome the new comers with open arms. FV family teaches the world what living is really about. Go to a common community gathering area with a great view and mingle with peers. No Drama, judgments, or crime. Just folks wanting to unwind from a hard week and have a good time with like minded peers. @Fisherman's Village is definitely a place when you stop by for a bite to eat, a walk, or look at the seals, stop and say hi and smile with a stranger!!!!!

The first thing that caught my eye were the charred mountains. Next, were buildings being reconstructed everywhere. It was heart wrenching. At the same time, it was hopeful. So many signs around Pacific Palisades are about being resilient. There are also mirrored sculptures that talk about being broken, but still here, still together. The reconstructed Village is elegant, clean, and beautiful. It truly feels like a welcome. You can tell that a great deal of effort was put into making this a celebration. So much was free: parking, food, drinks, postcards, keychain charms, even a lawn chair. There was a surprise jet formation flyby. It was my first time seeing a robotic dog in person. It was so weird. I wish they would put a head on it. It freaked at least one big, fluffy real dog the heck out. It freaked me out a little, too. They had guest speakers like Elyse Walker and Caruso himself, but it was too crowded for me to see anything and at one point the speakers cut out, so I couldn't hear anything either. As a result, most visitors just started chatting with each other. "Did your house burn down?" "Are you rebuilding?" "I'm glad things are starting to look hopeful again." If anything, that's what this reopening represented: Hope, rebirth, optimism. Update: I went back for the 8pm event where we didn't know what we were going to see. All they said was that it would blow our minds and it did. They had guests like Anthony Hopkins, Kate Hudson, OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder, and American Idol's Pia Toscano, along with a full orchestra and a drone show. Plus, the stage looked like a mini Hollywood Bowl, but everyone was close to the stage.
