This time my barber didn't even follow instructions of a fade starting at a quarter length. Was ready to send me off when I asked what length, and he had cut it regular cut at 1. I thought he was just starting. I asked for an inch to be cut off the top, he also didn't do that until I once again asked when he was ready to send me off. The redo was also not a good haircut, just poor quality. Had a similar experience last time where it just didn't look good. Got no clean shave on the back and sides either. He also didn't clean up well, I don't expect to be showered clean but hair around me could have used more effort from the blow dryer. Could just be the barbers I've had, but won't risk it again at the steep price with other options.

He asked me if I wanted to have my beard shaved with a razor, and I said, "No, I trim it myself with clippers," and then I pointed to his clippers to indicate what I meant. He took that for a request to use his on me, and about two minutes later, my bill had almost doubled. Note: His English isn't all that great, and he tends to mumble a lot. He never communicated that what he was going to do would cost extra. I told him I'd pay the bill, but that I was never coming back again. To be fair, I suppose in his mind, he had simply sold me an extra-cost option. But, in my mind, I never agreed to it, and would never have if I had been asked. I can easily trim my beard at home, and do so regularly. If I had thought about it, I would have said that what he was doing was simply a part of the haircut.
