They are professional and also so fun to work with. Our wedding day was unseasonably HOT, despite these conditions they were moving around capturing everything all day and all night. Something so special is that they stayed until the very end - I know other photographers don't always do this. In showing our photos to our friends and family everyone is absolutely blown away and we've gotten comments like - "These are the best wedding photos I've ever seen," "How did they capture the moment/everyone's personalities so well!?" In being in other weddings recently, I've interacted with a lot of photographers and Kinjo and Dawa are by far the friendliest, most joyful and fun photographers I've interacted with (and trust me, you will want this on your big day - it makes a huge difference!) and their work is top of the line! Having an authentic and natural photography style was a big priority for us when planning our wedding and that is exactly what Forever Photography delivers. Upon contacting them to share the news of our engagement, Jessica was prompt to respond and so excited to be part of our journey. Once we landed on our venue and date, Jessica walked us through the package options based on what worked best for the flow of our day. We are so glad that we reached out early because now having been involved in planning several weddings since then, I've learned that photographers book up very quickly. All of Forever Photography's wedding packages come with a complimentary engagement session which is such a value. To preface, my husband and I had never been the subjects of a photo shoot working 1:1 with a photographer so we were a little nervous about what to do and how to pose beforehand. Jessica has a fun and creative personality so she provided us with helpful direction throughout our session while making us feel totally relaxed. My husband who doesn't love to take pictures even said that he felt so comfortable in front of the camera! I really wish I could write 2 reviews because the engagement photos deserve a review of their own. We received so many compliments, even some going as far to say that they were the best engagement photos they'd ever seen. These photos were used for our wedding website, save the dates and décor items like a canvas for an easel and photo frames that we used for the bridal shower and wedding. Beyond the decorative aspect, the engagement session helped us to get comfortable in front of the camera... no one wants awkward wedding photos! As we hit the wedding year and the event finally started to come together, Jessica was so instrumental in my timeline planning and willingly gave me direction where needed to ensure all of the details we were choosing were cohesive with our theme. If you are someone who thrives on and needs communication, this is the team for you. I shared with Jess everything from the hotel rooms we would be getting ready in, to the color and style of the pajamas for my bridal party, to the smallest accents like our ring dish. Jessica even went out of her way to bring me a velvet engagement ring box the day of the wedding because she found one that matched perfectly with our color scheme for our details photos. This just goes to show how much she cares and goes above and beyond for her clients. Our wedding day arrived and the forecast was calling for rain so I was a very antsy Bride. I wanted to make sure we had a smooth morning getting ready at the hotel so we could get to the venue for our outdoor photos before the weather took a turn. Not only did Jessica manage to get all of the photos on our shot list but got us promptly to the venue in enough time for my husband and I to have our intimate "first look" on the docks with the waterfront backdrop we always dreamed of. The photos I saw had this retro style, had wonderful contrast and I found there was always warmth in their subjects. There is actual depth to their portraits and these ladies are able to capture the nuances of every emotion that occurs on your special day. Take a look at their IG/Yelp review photos and you'll see that they look like Renaissance portraits set in the streets of Brooklyn. When my husband and I met up with Jessica, she made us both feel at ease, as we've never had our photos taken professionally together before. The tips she gave us made us feel more comfortable and made the photographs turn out phenomenal! I love each and everyone of our photos from our engagement/wedding, but my favorites are definitely the candid ones. If you're looking to stay on a budget for your wedding, take my advice and do not skimp on the photographer. The stylist sprayed excessive product, got a brush stuck in my hair for nearly half an hour, and a chunk of my hair fell out. He put direct heat on my scalp, which was extremely painful and could potentially cause lasting damage. If I discover permanent harm to my scalp or hair growth, I will have no choice but to pursue legal action. The stylist also used an unsanitized, corroded straightener, admitted his dryer wasn't hot enough for my hair type, and handled my hair roughly even after I said I was in pain. Instead of addressing the damage, he asked for my email to offer free products--which did nothing to fix the situation. Surfaces were dirty, and hot tools were even placed on the floor--unsanitary and unsafe. According to NY state law, professional services must be provided in a clean and sanitary environment, which this clearly was not. I had to go home and immediately wash my hair out because of the heavy, uncomfortable spray. While the photographer himself was polite and did not insist on payment, I cannot recommend booking hair/makeup through this company. The service was unprofessional, unsafe, and unacceptable--especially for what should have been a special birthday shoot.
