The only reason why I was reminded to write them a review was because they did an email blast of all their former clients asking for 5 star reviews. If you write them one one Google, Yelp, and Facebook, they send you this chrome picture frame with your wedding photo in it. I uploaded the email. I hate businesses that solicit that crap. Our wedding photo shoot was one of the most awkward experiences of my life. Michael had us do these incredibly uncomfortable poses. At one point we refused to do some poses. His editing skills is pretty much bumping up the saturation to an unnatural level. His professionalism was also lacking. He wasn't the friendly or easiest to talk to. We had sent him poses we wanted to do and he did maybe 1/4 of them. He also violated part of our signed contract. The only good thing was that he was affordable. I wish I had spent more money and found a different photographer.

Being addicted to all things internet, I perused Yelp and Craigslist and found just a handful of postings that seemed credible. I emailed a few and greatly appreciated Sabina's prompt, courteous and informative reply. (Not to mention her online portfolio that showed a creative eye for photography and not a single cliched or cheesy shot.) With only a few descriptive emails back and forth (and not a single meeting or phone call), my husband-to-be and I arrived at the County Clerk's office, met up with Sabina and walked right in for our marriage license and civil ceremony. She did an impeccable job of capturing special moments and expressions in a rather drab county office and extremely small government 'chapel', all the while making everyone feel at ease. And, even better, we then headed outside. Sabina had already scouted out three great spots within two blocks for little, mini-shoots (all-the-while staying away from the Mission where every other wedding photo in San Luis comes from). With each setting, she managed to create wonderful candid shots that were unique and perfect and just looked happy. For a two-hour shoot (and a very reasonable price), we were so happy with what Sabina captured. Given our rather nontraditional wedding, I'm very glad that we'll have these photos and memories to keep. Sabina absolutely understood--and improved on--what I'd described in our email exchanges. And, the full suite of images was uploaded to an online album in less than a week. I would recommend Sabina without reservation. Her professionalism and attention to detail belie her young age and her talent, efficiency and creative eye all trump it all.

Then, we found Brooklyn Wedding Videography and they were AWESOME. The work is high quality, Robert captured everything we wanted for our special day and then some. He also was early to arrive at the hotel and then traveled to the venue, he captured every bit of our getting ready process through the end of the night and was constantly on the dance floor capturing some of the best moments during the reception. He used various camera angles and captured absolutely everything. Delisa was also amazing with the editing process and communicating with us about things we wanted/didn't want in our edits. We received our trailer and longer video very quickly and Delisa always helped us with making any changes we wanted to music, cuts, etc. You also receive all of the raw footage too which is amazing and something that many places don't offer. Overall, BkWV was awesome and the work is very high quality and beautiful. After no avail I end up asking my husband to call him to figure out where will the engagement shoot will be. After finally figuring out a location for the engagement shoot. The day of the engagement shoot he texts that he cannot make it since his mother in the hospital. THIS I UNDERSTAND because everyone knows MOMMA Love comes first. But where is his contingency plan. I asked if he had an associate photographer to attend the engagement shoot because I booked my non refundable deposits for hair and makeup and both me and my husband took off of work. He ends up saying he will come but the lack of COMMUNICATION was lackingggggg. Ok so let's skip to wedding day. I will give him brownie points for being on time and getting the job done. But once again it's like communicating with wall. We were suppose to get at least three photos for a wedding teaser. We KNOW QUALITY WORK TAKES TIME. But all he sends is one photo. When other couples got at least three teaser photos. Then he sends the final wedding photo FOUR MONTHS LATER. THE editing time was not the Issue. THE Lack of communication was the issue. A simple text of saying Sorry there will be a delay in wedding photos because we are overwhelmed would be adequate and give people a time estimate. But no like a toxic ex boyfriend he just responds Hey and gives the link for the photos. And does not even respond to my husbands text message. Simple communication and professionalism goes a longgggggg way. I would not recommend Vinny to anybody because he cannot communicate. It does not matter about the photos if your dealing with an unprofessional. It's no excuse. HIRE a competent secretary to communicate with ur clients. Because Vinny is incapable of reaching out to his clients. You pay $7000 for a wedding package at least you would think you would get communication tossed in with it. I would highly recommend this studio / loft space over any in NYC as I contacted quit a few for this event and by far this was the best and its located in soho which is even more amazing. I ended up renting the studio for my private birthday dinner party but aside from that the studio is a huge photography loft space. It has a dressing room, full bathroom and kitchen.
