In my experience, Manly Jewelry Repair in Biscayne is not trustworthy. We left my daughter's custom-made necklace for a simple repair. When it was returned, the chain was different--longer, lighter, and lower quality than the original. This necklace had been worn daily for years, and the difference was immediately obvious. When we questioned this, the owner was dismissive and rude and refused to meaningfully address the issue. The police were called due to concern for my daughter's safety and to make a report. Based on this experience, I believe customers--especially those dropping off sentimental or valuable items--should beware. I do not recommend doing business here. read more

I can't speak to their knowledge of jewelry, but I would strongly urge you to avoid this business for watch repairs. I brought in a watch to just change a band. It was a special watch to me that I had bought in Europe just a year before, and it had been working just fine until that point. When I picked up the watch with the new band, the watch wasn't working. I brought it back, FOUR TIMES, each time they tell me they'd fix it, and each time I'd leave it for two weeks or more. This most recent time they again assured me it was fixed, yet the next day it stopped working again. They broke the watch to begin with, albeit unintentionally I'm sure, but clearly something happened to it while they were changing the band. Regardless, I gave them the benefit of the doubt to fix it, but now I just wish they would tell me they don't know how to fix this watch. Then I could take it to a specialist. Frankly, they should pay for me to get the repairs elsewhere. I'm upset, because this watch was very special to me. read more

I have seen customers take their silver china to be polished. Mr. Manley its super nice and always fix my watches while I wait. Went in to get a small bracelet resized. The woman who helped me was very nice, and quoted me $12. When I came to pick it up a few days later the man that helped me was extremely rude and then said it was going to be $32! Also the bracelet wasn't resized at all to the length I wanted. read more

Went to Manley's on a recommendation from my friends & family who live in Miami, FL. I had a necklace I got from my grandmother over 20 years ago, and I wore it everyday for those many years. It was made in Italy and it was 14k Gold. I am giving you the history of my necklace because I wanted to show that I knew my necklace 100%. Well, the spring in the clasp finally broke, so off to Manley's I went. To my surprise they gave me back a cheap piece of garbage necklace of 10k gold!!! I cannot believe this! I have lost sleep for more than a week now just thinking about how some people can be so cruel! It's not the money part, believe me I would even pay them to give me back my grandmother's necklace, but they said to me that is the necklace I gave them, and that's that! Very very disappointed and shocked!!! Suggestion: Please take a photo of any piece of jewelry you leave with them as you may not get the same piece back. Screwed in Miami. read more

I took a 3 month old Kenneth Cole watch in last week Saturday because it was running fast. They adjusted it for $15.00 and all was great for less than 2 days when the watch stopped working. I took it back the following Saturday and explained the situation. They said to leave the watch and I would be called. I was called the following Monday and was told that the watch needed servicing and it would cost $65.00. I picked it up and took it home and will have another place do the repairs.
