He could have easily tried to upsell me something I didn't need, but instead he helped me make the right choice. When it was time to pick up the ring he was very discreet in the message he sent me so my surprise wouldn't be ruined, even coordinating around my schedule so my fiancé would be none the wiser. I had an okay experience with this jeweler. I actually ended up doing business with them by mistake. I was looking for "Marilyn" jeweler and it was a case of mistaken identity that I discovered when I returned for my items. In any case, I came to have three pieces of jewelry repaired, two anklets and a very delicate silver necklace. I came in on a Saturday and there was a young girl named Lisette at the counter. She was very nice and I told her what I needed and she informed me that the repairman (who was her uncle) wasn't in but I could leave the items. She explained that they are closed on Sundays and Mondays, so when they reopened on Tuesday they would work on my repairs and I could pick them up Wednesday. Anyway, I gave it an extra day and when I returned on Thursday there was a a different woman at the counter. She was not overly friendly and after briefly looking for my items she dryly informed me that it would be five minutes. I took this as my repairs had never been started which kind of annoyed me, especially that I gave an extra day. Five minutes later my items were presented to me and I must say, I was unimpressed with the repairs. The metal was soldered back together, which basically left a small little metal lump at the areas of repair. I have only had to have jewelry repaired once before but it was not done in this fashion. A link was actually inserted and sealed closed and you could not tell it has ever been broken. I am not sure why this place did the repairs in the manner they did... maybe the chains were too small to re-link... It was $5 per item and the repair is acceptable, but I will probably try one of the other jewelers next time. read more

The owner explained that it was very thin and that only block letters would fit. Not what I wanted but that's the risk of buying jewelry online. After the engraving , I was not happy with the way it looked. The owner recommended several options and worked with me on how to fix it. I finally got exactly what I was looking for. I came across this jewelry store on Instagram and loved everything they had. More specifically I had been looking for a gold bracelet which they had. I decided to send them a message and Yesenia, who is the daughter of the owners wrote me back right away. She was very sweet and friendly. She told me the price of the item I was looking for and she also told me to ask for her once i arrive. I told her I'd stop by on Saturday to look at this item. When you arrive, you'll notice that there are other little jewelry spots inside, kind of like a jewelry market. When I walked inside and started looking at their stuff a charming little boy asked if I needed help. I quickly spotted the bracelet I was looking for and asked if I could see it. As soon as he started to take it out, Yesenia asked if I was the girl from Instagram and I quickly replied Yes! She then told me she had been waiting for me and wanted to make sure I was the person as they had been holding on to it for me. She told me that had I not been the person on Instagram she wouldn't have sold it otherwise as this particular bracelet seems to be very popular. I really enjoyed hearing that as it is a great way to keep customers! Yesenia is a lovely young lady who does anything to help you and is very well informed on jewelry. It's Marilyn Jewelry located in the first booth on the left of the left entry door in the International Jewelry Exchange in the same shopping center as BJ's on 117th and Sunset Drive. I have taken things to them several times and they are always so nice and so easy going and reasonably priced as well. The engraving is wonderful as well. I absolutely love this store!!!!! I brought in some of my old gold to try and sell, and i was fortuante to be taken care of by Marilyn and her son. They both weighted the gold and gave me a reasonable offer I couldn't refuse. Her son even offered to walk me to my car afterwards.
