Most recently with my friends, I got the stuffed mushrooms which were very flavorful and tender. For my entree, I got the lasagna which was also super delicious. Overall, a little pricey (and they charged a fee to split an entree for my two friends) but a solid option. read more

Wanted to celebrate, so where else would I go. Usually go to the one in commack,but decided to try Oakdale. Very beautiful atmosphere, but was very disappointed service was really bad waited quite a long time for drinks and our waiter was not very nice. We felt like we were bothering him. Wow wow wow! Came here for a late lunch/early dinner and Mannino's did not disappoint! The staff was hands down lovely. We ordered the escarole & beans and the clams possillipo. Both phenomenal! The escarole and beans were more like a stew; they were so flavorful no cheese, crushed red pepper, or salt was needed. The clams, probably my least favorite, were still really delicious. It was not my favorite because I wanted the clams oreganata, which these were not. We had the Sunday sauce with all the meat under the sun and the lamb ragu for our entree. O!M!G! Both dishes were off the charts. I would 100% order both again. Huge portions, rich and flavorful. Wow! I can't get enough. Then, although I wasn't hungry, I just had to try the cannoli for dessert. A crisp shell filled with cannoli cream that wasn't too sweet, just a perfect way to close out a meal! Don't hesitate to come here for a delicious meal you won't regret! read more

Arrived for lunch, hostess didn't want to be bothered seating us, we interrupted her texting, does not even smile or look up at you. That was my first and last impression. Food was just marginal. I came here tonight with a friend for the first time and was very impressed! We sat and offered water right away and drinks! Our server came up to the table and introduce himself! His name is Danny and he was probably one of the best service I've ever had anywhere. His personality was amazing very friendly, and his knowledge of the menu was extensive. He made recommendations after he read us the specials of appetizers and entrées! He came by a few times Michelle we need anything and how everything was and even when we had questions about something he had the answer! We wanted a steak and he recommended one off the menu that was amazing. He even recommended one of the rubs.! but I didn't know what I wanted and he recommended a peanut butter and jelly gelato and guaranteed I would love it, which I did. I don't usually eat a lot, but I was ready to lick the bowl with this. He made a great recommendation.! the atmosphere of this place was very cozy and upscale. This place is great! The service is top notch and all of the food is all delicious. We had a bunch of apps and some entrees and everything was awesome. Our apps were the clams possillipo and the escarole and beans. The clams were great in a red sauce and the escarole was amazing! It was in this gravy that was so tasty. The specials that day included a Sunday gravy with EVERYTHING thrown in there and rigatoni in lamb shank ragu. Mannino's has a traditional Italian menu with a wonderful selection of Italian pasta classics, fresh seafood dishes, veal chops, and aged steaks which I had the pleasure to enjoy most of these popular dishes on my many dining experiences at Mannino's. I've been cooking for 30 years and I don't see why you'd have a cover a filet mignon with melted cheese and roasted peppers. I don't even think that combination works. A filet is a stunning piece of beef, let it speak for itself. Less is more. Chefs that try to hide food under a mountain of cheese and sauces I have to wonder about. read more

Depending on what mood you're in the one in Oakdale is for that night out with the family or that romantic evening with that special person.Commack has that lively vibe with a great bar scene and rooftop sitting area . Smithtown is a pizzeria/restaurant. Menus vary at different locations, but you will not be disappointed in the food or the quality or the service. The people were nice but the food was not as good as it used to be. We had the tortellini soup which was just tortellini in beef broth. Seafood salad was bland, riceballs were good. The sea bass was very dry and the stuffed veal was stuffed with only mozzarella should have been prosciutto n mozzarella and the mashed potato's were lumpy. Oh dear Maninno's what is going on? Poor service and the quality of our food was not good. Our waitress/the service was intrusive, strange and really made us uncomfortable. Our waitress was at the table about 14 times. At one point the waitress took my dirty napkin that I was still using for my meal from the table with her dirty hands, folded it and put it back on the table - my family commented how gross?? For dessert she took my napkin and left everyone else's dirty napkin on the table and never gave me another? (Odd?? Don't know why, never asked her to take it?) She took our unused clean silverware after our meal and replaced all for dessert, for no reason? Twice, scrape the table of crumbs, twice to bring water, (no carafe?), 3 times to ask how our meal is, once to ask if we want dessert, once to ask how was dessert? The dessert tasted like it came out of a box, honestly. Another time to see if we want the check, one time to bring back the check, one time to pick up the check???? This woman was looking for reasons to constantly be at our table. I don't appreciate being asked so many times when you can see I have food in my mouth.....?? The food we ordered looked like restaurant depot food. No effort into our meals. The appetizer looked preprepared and had no taste, my chicken dish was dried out and the chicken parm ordered came in a swimming pool of mozzarella with no seasoning and nothing added to it. The desserts were no better, the cannoli tasted like old gingerbread strange taste, like they were sitting too long and the cake tasted like it came premade from a box. The quality of food needs to be better and the service needs an overhaul. I have been to the Russian Tea room and other fine dining places, even they don't interrupt the meal so many times that you can't eat in peace. In most restaurants you order and eat your meal - they don't ask if the meal is good 3 or 4 times??? Was she worried about what they served us??? Odd??? Really disappointed. The food and ambiance is very good. The wait staff is better than most you encounter these days. They have a nice wine selection and fun cocktails. My only issue is the prices for drinks...$23 for a vodka martini is just obnoxious. The place does not warrant these prices. I ordered an appetizer of baked clams, I got 2 nice size clams for $20. Do they really need to charge $10 per clam!?!? It wasn't that good to charge that much. Manninos needs to check themselves, prices are getting beyond what it's worth. Went to Mannino's tonight (Tuesday) and it was delicious. We heard a few people recommend this restaurant, and we finally got there to try it. For the appetizer, we had the Burrata and the Calamari Arrabiata. The Burrata was one of the best I have had in a while. It's comes over arugula with roasted peppers and olives. The calamari arrabiata was crispy (even though it's tossed is spicy marinara). Sometimes it loses its crisp because it's cooked / tossed in sauce. For dinner, I had the Orecchiette Barese, which is with broccoli rabe and both sweet and spicy crumbled sausage. My only complaint was they used too much olive oil, there was basically a small pool at the bottom of the bowl which makes it unpleasing to finish the rest of the pasta. My fiancé had the Rigatoni Ala Vodka. They make there's with a meat sauce, which is not noted on their menu (which would be helpful to know). They took it back and gave her vodka sauce without meat, and they were super awesome about it. The sauce was great and the portions of both dishes were nice. The service was beyond great, our waiter was Sal. Attentive and on top of everything. The rest of the staff continued to fill our water and clean the table multiple times. The restaurant itself is large with many tables, the bar was really nice too. I've found my new go to Italian restaurant. Can't wait to go back! read more

Went to Mannino's with my wife in Oakdale and was not disappointed. It was a Wednesday nite and the place was packed. Friendly service from the front all the way to the busboy. Our waiter Tyler, was professional, knowledgeable and genuinely friendly. Superb wine list too. The fried calamari was fresh, light and crunchy. House salad with vinaigrette excellent. Entre, I had the Rigatoni Magnifico which lives up to its name with filet mignon tips in a brown sauce with broccoli rabe and sun dried tomatoes. My wife had the Fruitti diMare. A shellfish lovers delight over capellini in a homestyle red sauce. Though packed, we had a nice table by the window and the ambiance and decor was warm. Definitely will return! read more

However, if you came there to spend money, they can help you with that. Besides the basics, Mannino's menu offers an amazing veal chop, luxurious seafoods like lobster and Chilean sea bass specials and hard to find wine selections from Italy and Napa Valley. That's what makes this the perfect place for a special occasion. It's an expensive high-end feel but they don't kill you. My personal recommendations are Veal Chop Parmigiana and their Espresso Martini, yum! So, please trust me when I tell you this will impress. Bring your next date, meeting or even happy hour. Our children took us to your establishment to celebrate our 50th anniversary on Sunday. I'm sorry to say we were very disappointed the table was not ready on time. My granddaughter never got her drink her brother didn't get his appetizer. We had to ask for it. We waited a long time for dinner u actually delivered the wrong food twice to our table. When I asked the waitress when the food was coming she totally blew me off. The food finally came some things were overcooked. The worst part was there were bugs flying around the table. I asked to speak to a manager to know avail. The waitress talked to me at the door. She never came over to the table to say why the food was taking so long & things were forgotten. Great dinner celebrating my friend's retirement. Our waitress Aly was wonderful. She was very helpful with helping me select a gluten free option. The kitchen staff was well acquainted with this food allergy. The bartender mixed up a bunch of our drinks but it happens. Put salt instead of sugar on the Bellini margarita and gave Chardonnay instead of Sauvignon blanc. Our waitress quickly replaced the drinks with new ones. Valet parking gives this venue that "shi shi" feel but much needed as well for local parking is at a minimum. Venue does not accept reservations and this can create a wee bit of a wait but fret not, oversized bar area will have you waiting in comfort and keep you well hydrated. Once sat, be prepared to be wowed! Super servers will dazzle you with the incredible specials of the day. Attentive and knowledgeable. The food is amazing and can be best described as family style but not in the over-sized, obnoxious kind of way. Our table enjoyed a variety of dishes from antipasto appetizer, chicken Marsala to lobster ravioli. But wait! Don't fill up too much on the bread and dee-lish garlic oil... omg! Food is very good, a little over priced , drinks are really over priced but the main reason I would never go there again , my daughter and her boyfriend went for dinner , the bill was $100 and they gave the waiter $120 , the waiter went all the way out to the parking lot to confront her boyfriend and asked " how come no tip "? And my daughter and boyfriend responded by saying " we gave u a $20 tip " and he was very persistent about it where they were getting embarrassed while waiting for valet to bring their car . 1 that's why I pay by debit including the tip or I will just leave the cash tip, 2 I would have punched the shit out of the waiter and anyone else that might have gotten involved ( I don't like to be embarrassed over stupid shit like that ) , and if the place didn't think they were wrong , then why did they offer them a $25 gift card , and naturally they didn't take it , they just left . Made a 6 o'clock reservation last night (Saturday) we thought we'd get there before the crowd. The place was mobbed, so happy to see. But now to the food. We ordered the antipasto for the four of us, delicious thought we thought it could have been more robust. The bread and olive oil that they served on the table was warm and yummy. Three if us had variations of the veal, i had the veal with arugula salad which was great. My wife had the veal with shrimp which was in a sauce which was oily and could have used a bed of pasta. My buddy had the veal with crispy potatoes which were gone. The forth had Salmon and asparagus which was delightful but a very small portion. We also ordered a side of spinach which was disappointing. We shared Delicious warm Donuts for dessert. read more
