To be honest the pizza itself wasn't anything to write home about. But this place is so much more than pizza. You enter by pulling a axe door handle. Then you find yourself in a small clothing boutique. Colorful shorts and tourist sweatshirts on all sides. This is a little disoriented, but don't worry you found Paris surf. Keep walking in and down three small steps and boom you're in a modern Pizzeria Cafe. They serve drinks ranging from beer to cocktails to Italian sodas and coffee. This is a place for families and friends to hang out. On Fridays and Saturdays they have live music performances. The vibe is really relaxed you don't even have to order anything then since it becomes a kind of community space. When I saw the wood fire grill I knew we were in for a treat. Now the pizza menu is quite long, so after studying we opted for a blue cheese and ham specialty pizza. I think that might have been a mistake because the teeny-tiny chopped toppings really blended together and the pizza was too salty for me to enjoy. I would come back and order another pizza maybe a simple Marguerita next time. For my vegan friend they were super accommodating and made a pizza with no cheese. This isn't so much of a super gourmet restaurant as it is a chill family friendly fast-casual place. Before you leave take a picture of the tiled stairs that say Paris loves you. This place is definitely instagrammable.

We were at The Keg to celebrate my birthday…read more First, the table we were seated at was not properly cleaned. The cocktail menu has what looked like a booger with a long hair stuck to it. Second a plate had a black particle stuck to it. Next, the table had some kind of flakey chaff scattered sparingly over it. Pointed these out to the server, Cole, and he dealt with them. It bothered me that he said that the black particle was just fluff. Fluff would blow away but this was solidly stuck on. Second, I ordered a 6 oz sirloin that also came with a lobster tail for $64 and an extra side of mushrooms. My 6 oz sirloin steak was tough but cooked and flavoured nicely. The garlic mashed potatoes was a gelatinous mass with barely any garlic flavour. When the bill came I was charged for a 6oz steak with an added side of lobster which when added up cost over a hundred dollars. When I asked the server about it he said there was nothing on the menu that was like what I thought I had ordered. I found this odd but deferred to the servers knowledge thinking he would not stiff a retiree. So I paid the exorbitant extra amount and started to leave, but it bothered me. So i stopped at the desk at the exit and asked for a menu. I found the exact thing I ordered on the menu just like I pointed out to the server when I first ordered. I asked the manager who was there and he fumbled some words which I couldn't hear. In disgust that they would commit a fraud on seniors like us, I left. As I went out the door I heard him finally speak up and say he was willing to "adjust". I yelled back that it was about the principle, not the $45 difference. I'm fortunate that I can recover from a $45 fraud. I could only image how many young couples or other seniors making a special night out of going out to the Keg would be negatively effected. Never again KEG. You've given this old techie consultant a new purpose. I will ask my network to upload my story about how fraudulent your company truly is. Good Day, Mr. Jaffray.

We were greeted and seated as soon as we entered the restaurant. Even though we had made a reservation, we were given the choice of 3 tables, which we really appreciated. We ordered two cocktails to start. I had the Flora Mexican which was amazing! it was floral, a little sweet, a little sour and just the perfect amount of yum. I loved it. My husband had the Improved Whisky Cocktail. It was also very good, with Rye, Maraschino and a nice hit of Absinthe. We decided to share some items from the crudo part of the menu. We had the salmon carpaccio which came with squid ink crackers and some lovely little pickled items. It was outstanding. We had the tuna tataki which also had lots of little pickled items and was amazing, but for me the actual tuna stole the show. The last item we ordered was the venison tartare. OMG, it was fabulous. The flavour of the venison was wonderful and the chili and capers just added so much to the dish. The cured egg yolk shaved on top gave it a subtle hint of saltiness. Everything was fantastic. The service was great and the ambience was too. We will most definitely be back when we return to London. Highly recommend this place.

And I found all of the staff really friendly and lovely. My sister had the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The tomato soup was made on site. Absolutely delicious. FOOD: We had come here on a Monday at around 12:00 pm for…read morelunch as it was the $5.00 Burger Deal, in which you would receive a Burger and Side Order for $5.00. However, it was required that you order a beverage in order to get this deal; I had settled on Ginger Ale as my beverage, and Tomato Soup as my side. In terms of the Ginger Ale, it tasted watered-down, and was a difficult drink to enjoy, because it mostly tasted like water. The Burger was actually very delicious, and tasted juicy and fresh, and it was quite large as well. The only thing that I didn't like about it was that it hardly had any toppings on it, and we had to add our own ketchup and mustard (which were on the table already). For my side, I had asked if I could have the Tomato Soup as I really love Tomato Soup, and was excited to see that it was on the menu. They had said that they would ask in the back if it was possible to have it with the Burger Deal. When they said that it was fine, it definitely made my day! However, upon tasting the soup, I was severely disappointed, as the menu clearly stated that the soup was 'homemade', which clearly, it was not. I've tasted soup out of the can that was much better then what I was served, and vowed that I wouldn't be ordering any type of soup from this restaurant in the future. Although the Burger was quite delicious, I wasn't too happy with the Tomato Soup, or the Ginger Ale, and felt that my money wasn't spent well on these items. ATMOSPHERE: This restaurant was situated in a busy plaza, however, at the time that we had gone, it wasn't too busy at all as it was midday during the week. We noticed that there weren't too many people in the restaurant, and the ambiance was quiet as there were no sports games showing on the television. The restaurant itself was quite spacious, with enough room between each of the tables, and ample room for us to move our chairs in and out while being comfortable. The décor on the walls was reminiscent of a typical English pub, with pictures of London, and other items related to sports. SERVICE: When we had arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted by a kind, younger woman, who directed us to a table of our choosing. She then came over and gave us menus, and told us about the specials for the day. We found that the service was great, as the woman came over as we were eating to see how we were doing, and was quite polite during our entire stay. We noticed that there were a few other servers as well doing the same thing with other tables, which was comforting to see. Great service all around for sure! COST: 1 Burger Deal: $5.00 (Includes Burger & Side) + 1 Beverage (Ginger Ale): $2.25 + Tax = $8.19 WOULD YOU RETURN? In all honesty, although the atmosphere and service were great for a British pub, the food didn't measure up, and it just wasn't worth the money that we put into it.
