My most recent experience was really awful. I called them to schedule an appointment to fix a leaking toilet and made a point to be home all day so that I would be there when they arrived. Around midday, when no one had arrived, I called to ask if we were still on the schedule and was assured that we were. I spent the afternoon waiting and, at 4:40, called again to ask if they were still planning to come. The answer I got was, "Oh no. we are short handed this week and several calls took longer than expected." This is totally unacceptable. Obviously at some time during the day they could have predicted that they weren't going to get to my call. I suspect that, if they were doing any planning at all, they could have let me know that when I made the midday call. But, they couldn't be bothered to actually plan a work schedule for the day or to call me and reschedule when the knew they weren't going to make it. In the end, the jokes on them because I fixed the toilet my self with a $2.00 gasket from Lowes.

I went through hell wIth Poorman's years ago they gave me an 11k estimate on a 620 square foot house. They made up nonsense that my basement ceiling was too short and the only unit they could sell me was an institutional grade model! BS! I called so many places, that most would only work on their installations. Doc Dancers price structure and Maintenance practices were really unfair to the bottom. I'd lost all faith in Trane and Bryant. There is no need to pay for all that nonsense advertising. Heil is an old USA company since 1929, they were swallowed by sears and whirlpool and later bought by Carrier. They are "generic" and easy to work on and have a 20 yeaar warranty. My advice is go with an entrepreneur you can build a relationship with. Like the tv repair man used to be in the 1980s. Go corporate and get a trainee, and get moped up, or go small with an artist who stands proudly beside his own work. Kevin is no nonsense. I trust him. I recommend him. Go Manz.
