Our sump pump died. The tech came out the next day (other than plumbers needed 3-4 days) and he efficiently swapped out the sump and added a battery backup. I needed to replace two frost free hose bibs that were easily accessible. Two other companies required a sales person come out to give the quote and both quoted over $700 PER hose bib. Nicest people! From sales to service they were all great! We moved into our house last September and didn't need air until this summer. Even though the air conditioner passed inspection it probably did not work when they sold the house. Since the HVAC was almost 20 years old, we opted to replace all of it. I called on 6/2/25 to schedule an appointment and informed the receptionist that a 40 ft snake would be necessary for the issue, as we had dealt with this same problem before. She called a plumber and assured me that they indeed have a 40 ft snake and someone would be out the next day at 2 PM. However, no one showed up or contacted me. When I called to follow up, the receptionist claimed she had called me at 8 AM--which never happened--and then proceeded to say, "It's not my problem," and informed me that they don't even have a 40 ft snake available. Truly disappointing customer service. This company is unprofessional, unreliable, and unapologetically rude. Save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere. read more

My mother's Furnace suddenly quit running. Legacy was at my mother's house within an hour and had not only diagnosed th problem but had already helped her get he fireplace started and had positioned fans around the house to help move the heat around. I just had Jason from Legacy air come over to fix my HVAC system which was not working and the line were freezing up. I told him what was going on and the symptoms and he immediately knew what to check. He had the system tested by a machine and found the my Freon was a pound low by the system was holding pressure. He gave me the price before starting the repair and was in and out within an hour. He also answered some questions I had while he was here and he was very pleasant. Almost 1 year later, I get a bill for a service charge even though their tech said it will be waive by buying the central air conditioner. I had to call 2 separate times arguing with them to get it corrected. The VP Steve was not as helpful as you think he would be. I would not recommend to anyone. read more

Again with these people. Had Legacy come out in the winter last year for the heater. Which was a simple fix and only cost the service fee. I call them the Monday after July 4th for my ac, not expecting much in the way of appointments because of the heat wave. Got an appt for 2 days later in the evening. They call the day before. Repairman is running ABOVE schedule and can he come out the next morning? Yes, please. Super nice guy. Fixed the problem, walked me through everything. And STILL the labor and parts was almost the same as the service call. I will ONLY call this company for HVAC and I will only recommend this company from now on. read more

Had A furnace for 1 year 3 months. The fan would not come on. After talking with another service tech from a competitor, was told that the Goodman furnaces have a habit of air locking. This can be fixed by removing top access panel and removing the two rubber hoses and blowing through them. Today I had legacy come out to do maintenance and told him that the fan was not coming on. before I could tell him I will blow through the tube, he scoffed and said that's a repair and would charge me $99 to fix. I felt that was rude and told him to take a hike. There are other companies out there who do not try to rip you off on service, go with them. I just got out of the hospital and when we got home it was 66 degrees in the house. We had a service contract through AEP, so we called Homeserve they sent out somebody from Legacy. The service man was nice. He needed to order a part and it wouldn't be available until the next day. So he jerry rigged a fuse in the furnace and ran the furnace until we told him to stop because it smelled like something was going to catch fire. So we were without heat for the night. He came out the next day and installed the new part. It ran good for 2 days, then another service man from Legacy came out. He said we needed a larger fan motor. So he installed a bigger motor, he went from 1/3 hp to 1/2 hp. The furnace ran for several days then it broke down again. We finally called Rolf Griffin and they were out in less than an hour and installed a new furnace the very next day.(December 30 a holiday weekend) Will never do business with Legacy again! read more
