This place is terrible. Extremely expensive. The business model is "we know better than the customer what the customer wants". This gentleman took on my project with no intention of completing it per my clear instructions. Arrogant, condescending, we are doing you a favor by taking your money. No attempt to resolve the bad situation of the owners making. Do not pay in cash. Do not pay upfront. Do not expect an accurate time delivery. I heard really good things about this place. I have about 5 pairs of shoes that need repair so I took off work early to drive here (I live about an hour away). I arrived at 2:45 and was greeted by the owner. He told me that he had reached intake capacity for the day and I could come back at 10:00am the next day and have my shoes put in for repair. I explained that I had driven an hour and that he didn't have to start my shoes anytime soon but if he could just take them from me that would be great. He refused to take them - which made no sense to me. How is it more work to sit a few shoes on a shelf for a few hours? All in all he refused to take them and I have spent two hours just driving around. Won't be back. read more

I would like to leave ZERO stars. Horrific. Will never go there again. Left a pair of doc martens and a coat (zipper repair). I left on Feb. 8th. I was promised that they could repair the soles, fix or replace a buckle and shine them up. They said that it would take a few weeks. I called after 2 weeks...coat was ready but shoes were not. I waited another week and a half and physically went to the shop. They couldn't find either of my items ...looked like the deer in the headlights...after 15 minutes or so finally located the coat but no shoes. I was told that 'the shoe apprentice ' would call me the next day..that he probably knew where the shoes were...This was a Monday...by Friday - no one has called me. So at 3:30 on Friday, I call. Once again...they don't know where my shoes are. .I am put on hold and the guy never comes back to the phone! I hang up after 15 minutes ...and call back...they won't pick up the phone. It goes to a recording that says...." if you have any questions just give us a call ' at the phone number that I am calling! Can't leave a voice mail and does not accept text. So I call repeatedly for 139 times and no one picks up. I get in the car and go to the shop...I am not quite there when someone finally picks up the line...and says..."I have been meaning to call you" !!! Baha!!! Right!! And then says that they weren't sure they could fix the soles and hadn't had a chance to locate a buckle ( I guess not ...I mean, wow, you have only had them ...for 3 days shy of a month!).. I replied.."I am almost at your shop and I would like to receive a refund and my shoes back.." I did just that... It is definitely not 'Mark shoes and luggage ' anymore...I was a frequent customer then when they had the shop...but Mark has definitely left the building... I definitely DO NOT recommend... I only did business with the previous owner once. I believe his name was Mark. Most of the reviews I'm seeing here refer to him. I had a pair of boots stretched and he did fine, but I've heard of others having really bad experiences with him. The new owners of what is now El Vaquero Boot Repair are outstanding. I have had them stretch one pair of boots, repair another after being chewed by a dog, and most recently an alteration to a pair of boots that I couldn't even zip up. All of my orders were finished within two weeks and they've always been friendly. It's incredibly convenient to have such talented leather workers here as they are few and far between. Mark has been keeping the soles on my boots for the past 15 years. He only does as much as is needed at the time. Some times half soles, sometimes heels, sometimes the whole thing. He also has declined to down the repairs when they aren't justifiable. read more

This shoe repair shop in Warner robins, ga is now under new management and the quality and turn around times have improved fantastically. He has fixed several pairs of shoes for my parents, and brought an old pair of elephant boots back to life for my dad. His custom leather work is beautifully hand crafted and he uses top of the line leather for his work, so it lasts! Also if you're going out of town they won't hesitate to ship your items back to you if need be. read more

You can't seem to find shoe repair shops any more. This one is pretty good. They also replace zippers in bags which is no easy task. They did several of my heels on my boots and stilettos. They were very nice and reasonably priced cheaper than buying a new bag or a new pair of shoes plus who wants to go through the hassle and the aggravation of breaking in a new pair of heels once you finally have your favorite pair broke in. Would it definitely recommend this shop. Can't find nicer people they are great. read more

Contrary to one other review, for an admittedly good price, two heel guards and a reattached tassel will take nearly two months. Quick work? My foot! Not impressed, but no one else within an hour of my home has a reputation for quality work. Drat! The jury is out on quality work. I'll let you know in two months. read more

Excellent work! Couldn't be happier! They repaired my Coach purse and you don't even notice it has a "repair" on it. They saved a $300 purse for only $5!! Also my order was ready the date it was promised and for the quoted price. Great customer service! I will definitely use them again. read more

If I could give this place a zero I would...I brought my wedges in to be replaced at the beginning of August and was asked to come back towards the end of the month because they needed customers to pick up their items to make room for new orders. Okay, understandable. I came back Wed, in the 3rd week of Aug and was asked to come back that Monday, the 27th. I thought to myself, okay this is crazy but I'll deal with it because I need my shoes fixed. I wasn't able to make it that Monday because of "life" lol but came in that Wed and was yet again told to come back the beginning of Sept because he "Mark" has accepted all the orders for that month and they weren't taking anymore. I explained to the lady, "You do know this is my 3rd trip, right. I can't believe you turn customers away like this"...I definitely won't be back and will drive to Macon before every stepping foot in this business. Extremely terrible customer service; my one visit would had turned into multiple orders because I have several things that needed fixed. Get more organized and maybe the business can balance the orders and not turn customers away 3 times!!! read more
