The prongs on my engagement ring needed to be tightened, and after seeing reviews I went to Yelverton Jewlers on Wednesday afternoon. The drop off process was easy and quick with their friendly staff. By mid-friday I received the text that my ring was ready! I brought pearls I had previously purchased for my wife to get appraised and restrung and apparently brought them to the right place! Gatlin (sp?) helped me and was an incredible wealth of knowledge. He took 20-30 minutes to describe pearls and how to determine the source and quality. He also did an incredible job restringing them as well and called to offer a restring anytime if the size didn't work. Their staff is always friendly, and Miss Donna is Amazing! we purchased our wedding sets through them over 11 years ago along with other jewelry, I called to see if they still had the documentation because I lost an earring and had to do an insurance claim on it. after all this time they still had all the documentation and it only took a few minutes to find it and have an updated appraisal sent to me the next day. I think what makes Yelvertons special is that they are so friendly and if they don't have what you are looking for they know who does. The prices are reasonable but do have some very high end and original pieces. If you watch them they also have good sales. It is a trusted jewelry store by generations of people around here. They are good and fast at repairs and although I have not made a lot of purchases there they are always friendly, like they know me. They do do engraving but not laser. read more

They paid to have my first review removed from another site. Very bad tense energy in the store. Owners and store employees very unhappy. They all were difficult to communicate with. The young boy employee didn't know what he was doing and would not admit that he simply didn't know so he kept trying to appear "smart" and he became irritated with me for asking to speak to someone else. He was clearly a spoiled brat who has had everything handed to him except a reality check. I believe they were unwilling to treat me with common kindness because of my physical appearance. I am well dressed and groomed but do not look like their target customer so they treated me like garbage. That shows that these are people of bad character. I am disappointed with the way I was treated but grateful that I saw this side of them. I'm proud to serve my community and my country humbly. As a rule I treat everyone I meet with respect no matter their race, age or religion, skin tone or social status because its just the right thing to do. I'm not going to dirty-up' myself by thinking negative things about strangers treating people badly. Do not put jewellery on your body from these people because it has negative "vibes" in it and you will be cursed. The owners have lost touch with reality and become unhappy, greedy, ungrateful and bitter. They lost a customer(me) and my high value purchase. Funny, a preacher of a church I visited was walking in as I was leaving. That church lost me for the same reason; greed, miss-spending funds, ungratefulness. I was not surprised he would be shopping their as he would probably buy things in spite of their bad attitude just to show that he can. I am not that type of consumer. If you are rude then you will not receive my patronage. Don't buy items from people with negative vibes and dont donate to non-profits with people negative vibes.
