You only get a tiny piece of soap for the bathroom. There is no shelf in the shower for you to put shower gel or anything on and that is really my only gripe. I stopped for two nights and my room card reset itself after the first 24 hours. This has happened in other Travelodge hotels but was passed off as being an issue from visiting ExCeL for an event. I'd stay here again its two minutes from the DLR but a bit of a dodgy walk to anything else down an empty street.

After telling them at 3 pm of this issue no one came to look at the issue even though they claimed maintenance was alerted. It was 5pm when I alerted the front desk that no one came to see about this issue. They then moved use. Day 2 at 7am phone rang and knocking at the door. Fire alarm to the room went off and they couldn't repair issue asked use to move again. This time manager Costa promised the more would be to our liking with a river view. Had to pack and move out not to have a room to go to for 3hours. Room given was a 2 floor room not looking at a river but at a building across the street. Day 3-7 After asking for the complaints registar, the front desk instantly called over the actual manager and regional manager. Once I explained my disappointment to them we were finally provided appropriate reparations for our troubles. Executive suite with a stocked bar, champagne, and dessert served to the room. Thank you to the Crown Plaza for making things right.

If in a room facing the river, it can be a little noisy but not enough to disturb my sleep! Food has always been very good too with staff always willing to help. The hotel also run a shuttle to local businesses which is invaluable and can be booked in advance with the concierge.

I tried to plug in their hair dryer and have it reach to the full length mirror but it wasn't long enough.Luckily I had my own with a longer cord and it barely made it. The lounge is nice as is the restaurant and the staff. The room was very small but ok and the bed comfortable. My sugar didn't get replenished until I asked the lady cleaning the rooms if I could have some. Expensive for what it is but it's London and convenient, so there you go.

Outside of that the hotel is conveniently located 2 blocks from the Royal Albert train station. Daily hot breakfast is provided and the dining area is huge. No facecloths are provided in this hotel. Full bar is available. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rate was awesome especially with the train access to anywhere in London. I definitely would stay at this location again

My partner and I stayed here for a night in November 2010 and really enjoyed our stay. It's a…read morequirky hotel with different themed rooms. Ours was room 2, like a marble effect room. It was a very large luxury room for the price and the bathroom was very big and modern. The bed was soo comfy we were almost late for breakfast as we didn't want to get up lol. The breakfast was yummy and the owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Both were extremely helpful and friendly. If I were being picky the room was a little warm, but there was probably a thermostat if we'd asked and it was a little noisy when the guests in the next room were in and out. But we'd definately come back and we always recommend Drapers.
