The trivia is not bad BUT the person running it cranks up the music to 11 so instead of a pub, you get an annoyingly loud night club vibe. You literally have to yell so the person sitting 6" away from you can hear you. Anyone further than that and you have to resort to sign language. That just ruins the night. The food on the first visit was not too bad, like a 3/5 for pub food. The second visit was just horrendous. We ordered jalapeño poppers. Two of the 6 were frozen still, not cold. They still had ice in the middle. The wing sauce was very watery, more like a soup or broth so it did not coat the wings at all. The Philly was extremely salty but it was edible compared to the other stuff we got. Our waitress seemed to only be interested in waiting on a table with two single guys. In between her flirting with them we were lucky to see her a handful of times during the 2.5 hours we were there for trivia. I guess she was out smoking a joint when she wasn't flirting which would explaining the skunk weed odor and her forgetfulness at just about everything. So to sum up, don't waste your time. Sandtrap, along with Legends, is considered to be the most hood club in the city. You'll definitely find some d-boys and trap stars in here. Speaking of trap stars, they now have the Trap Girls dancing and displaying their pole work on the two poles that they have here. This is not a strip club so no nudity, but the girls put in work and I tip them a few bucks for providing a show. I like the Sandtrap better than Legends because it is a bit larger and has a kitchen attached to it. Food is good here although it can take quite a while to receive it on busy nights. I admit the atmosphere isn't quite as lively like it used to. For some reason dudes just stand around gawking at the ladies while the ladies basically just dance with each other. What ever happened to the good old days when men and women danced with each other? The crowd is young and rough looking but they don't mean any harm.
