My mom lived at a larger assisted…read moreliving facility for 2 years in an early memory care neighborhood but began to need added security at night (bed rails/ cameras) due to being a fall risk and better staff: resident ratio for oversight during the day due to her impaired mobility. Zoe, the owner, is incredibly responsive, very in tune with the residents, and communicative with us about anything potentially going on with my mom before I even get there to notice which has been just a huge relief to know someone is actually paying attention to the signs of a UTI or anything else that may be going on. She even takes those that are able out occasionally for salon days! The home is only 5 bedrooms with 2 staff during the day and 1 at night so the resident: staff ratio is better than anywhere I've found and certainly better than any assisted living you will find! For someone with dementia, less is more and by less I just mean - less people, less commotion, less vast spaces than assisted living, but much much better care all in a true home environment. With only 4 caretakers, my mom very quickly became familiar with and felt comfortable and safe around them vs constant rotations at assisted living. She is able to sleep in, bed rails can be provided as needed, security cameras with audible alarms to staff during the night, and just less space to worry about oversight or being out of sight to where someone like my mom is less likely to fall. The home had comfy recliners in bedrooms and living rooms so residents can lounge comfortably which is a luxury over assisted living! Lori, the other owner, is a registered nurse and has been really helpful in streamlining medication management and dietary needs for my mom. I'm sure I'm missing a million good things about Regency but it has truly been a very positive experience to see my mom so well rested, so happy, and putting on a little weight - she looks better than she has in a very long time and I know it's due to the level of care and oversight she receives from everyone at Regency. Shout out to the amazing staff - Shereka, Candy, Diki, And Tefanie! It's like a little family there. I highly recommend if you are considering alternative options for your loved one to check this out especially for dementia care vs a memory care unit at assisted living both due to the level of care and the level of comfort and quality of life for your loved one.

This facility is impeccably clean well maintained. Zoe and her staff were truly unbelievable in the loving care that they gave my wife until her final days. I know my wife loved this home since she expressed this numerous times. and her love for Terri and Donna. Although the entire staff is excellent, I need to especially recognize Terri and Donna who are now are a part of our extended family. During her time there, my family and I were always welcomed with open arms and we all felt like family. When I walked in the Receptionist Sue stood up to greet me with a smile and I never will forget how warm she made me feel. As I was gazing around waiting for my interview it seems all the employees that walked by was happy. It was like all the faces I seen were smiling. I have to say that "customer service" is essential in this facility and I see each person working in unity to make sure everyone has that experience.

The application was about 3 weeks prior to her being released from rehab. Two days before she was to be released from rehab, they called me and said they weren't going to accept her. I had to scramble to find another assisted living facility. That's been a month and after numerous phone calls and emails, I still haven't gotten my deposit back. They are very nice and accommodating until they aren't. Don't trust these people.

Last fall, we along with three other families moved our beloved family member out of this establishment and are so happy for it. When Arbor Terrace first opened, it was quite lovely. Over the last several years, all the original staff left, no consistency or quality in care and often down right neglect! We would often come to visit to see medication lying in clothes, under bed, and on shelves which means many many doses missed. More times than we can count, we would find all the sheet sets missing and would pull back comforter to see staff allowing our loved one to sleep on only a plastic mattress so as to avoid having to wash soiled sheets. Often our loved one was not offered the opportunity to use the facilities in eight hour shifts causing several dangerous U.T.I's. In the end, the owner found it easier to ask residents to leave instead of correct the problem. They only hire teens and call them aides, they hire 18yr olds who take a 7 week course on how to give meds, but do not know what they are for, and call them nurses or med techs. They do not Watch patient take and are not liable if mistakes made because they are not real nurses. They have 1 nurse on staff who is over 93 patients, not there on weekends, evenings and often at other facilities during the week. My husband and I go to many Assisted Living facilities as our ministry. None are as neglectful as this facility. We moved our loved one a year ago to a place that is not as fancy looking on the inside, but the quality of care is night and day. #ask turnaround off staff.#qualifications, #researchcomplaintsonfacilitywithombudsman,#patient to staff ratio , #%resource-staff. numberofstaffhangingtogetherincommonareaormursingstation,not in room assisting. GA does have the worst laws protecting the elderly but being a huge advocate of the elderly, Arbor Terraces would be the last place I would put anyone. You are better off sending loved one out of state but truly there are good places locally, you just have to do your homework.

Physical Therapy was attentive and the centerpiece of facility. I would especially like to commend Antonio and Danielle for making hard effort pleasant. Typically understaffed in nursing, especially at night and weekends. But the staff that was there was almost universally excellent. I would especially commend Nurse Cassie for service above and beyond. They have social activities that appear to bolster morale and socialization. Although I did not participate in them for my own reasons. They had daily activities and they posted calendars in the rooms listing them. The meals? I do not eat. So I cannot really review them. Except to say they smelled delicious.

It was quite stressful and frightening to realize that we were at this point in her life and would have to trust in others to take care of her. We love the staff and so does our mother. They treat her with such kindness and care. It is such a relief to have such wonderful people care for our mother. They treat her like she is their family member, not just a resident at the property they work at. During COVID, it is especially hard as we are not able to visit on a regular basis and do the things we typically would for her however the staff is always there to assist us in whatever we need. During this disturbing time they have provided my mother and the other residents with a safe and healthy environment and adhere to all the health guidelines. Both Joe and Allis welcomed us and spent a great deal of time sharing their vision and commitment to their residents. We brought mom back for a visit and she immediately fell in love with them and the facility. Their warm and caring personalities made mom feel very secure and they immediately became friends. When move in day came, mom was anxious but at ease with how smoothly it went. She settled in almost immediately. Both Joe and Allis are exceptional people who care deeply for their residents. As mom began to have physical difficulties, they knew what to do and how to respond to every need. Mom often said how secure she felt and how much she loved being there. Our family was extremely pleased with everything that they did for mom. I visited very frequently and the place was always spotless and the staff was so personal, loving and attentive. Even when nobody was around my grandmother would tell us how much she loved the people there and she felt like this is where she belonged. On the day we had to say goodbye to my grandmother the owners and staff were not only there for my grandmother but for us the family as well. One of the assistants made a point to tell us she loved her and to make sure we knew her favorite song. That spoke volumes to me about the personal relationship my grandmother had with them.
