My twin is Ron Coffee. I worry about him. I also try to 'be with him' in spirit, and it would help to know something of his "space." What room identification does he have? What floor is he on? What would he see from his window?

Hi Don, I understand your worry and concern about your brother! Due to security, we can't answer this question on Yelp. However, if you email us at WeCare@arborcompany.com… Read more

Memory care is an absolute nightmare. The floor is like fly paper, they do the laundry, but never even turned the clothes right side out and just stuff them in the drawers, and they have one supervisor that they rely on for seven days a week 24 hours a day. That is an impossible job for anyone and they're too cheap to find extra help. There is very little mental stimulation for the people in memory care. I think it's all about the money and they hope the memory care people don't remember any details to report to their family. The staff doesn't even notice a guest walking in at times. All of them are over in the corner, looking at their telephones. I had walked in more than once to find my family member lying on a bed directly on the plastic! No sheets, no blankets no nothing. We also had numerous pieces of jewelry come up missing from the memory care unit. Granted, we shouldn't have had anything expensive there, but still you like to trust the staff.. Say no to their memory if you love the person you're looking to place there!

This last year during the COVID virus has been challenging for all senior communities. TCW has met the challenges head on, and has been proactive in all areas where needed to continue to keep the residents safe and healthy. From delivering meals directly to each resident, ensuring to screen residents for infection, monitoring and cleanliness, following state mandated guidelines, coordinating that all residents are vaccinated and working daily to keep each resident engaged in the community during a global pandemic, I applaud the staff. There are so.many outstanding and dedicated staff members that have gone above and beyond to ensure the residents quality of life is the best that it can be. In a pandemic, that is no small feat! TCW is a beautiful facility, filled with caring residents. My mother loves this community, the activities, the staff, her lovely apartment and her friends. Just walking in the door, makes you realize that happy residents live here. Thank you TCW staff for all your commitment. So glad that 2020 is over, and the virus pandemic is resolving. You all deserve a metal of honor!

We probably went on over 20 tours around the Alpharetta/Johns Creek/Roswell area. It's an incredibly overwhelming process, especially when the move has to happen fast and from out of state. There were a lot of places out there that were nice, but none that were as welcoming as Vitality. They ensured that I, as the daughter dealing with all this, was ok first, and then they helped walk me through each step. Every single person that works here really loves what they do and wants to be there. That is rare to find, especially in elder care! They are all incredibly communicative, proactive, caring, and genuinely good people. The building is open, bright, and spacious! The rooms are big and bright (also hard to find!). The food is excellent, there are lots of options, and they will even assist you with dietary adjustments. There are a lot of activities, and they highly encourage residents to get involved. My dad is already leading 3 or 4 different spiritual study groups. He really loves it here, and I can rest easy knowing he is being well taken care of. I'm so grateful we found this place!

If you are thinking of placing your loved one in the memory care unit at Terra Bella on Satellite…read moreBoulevard, you should know a few important pieces of information. Positives: 1. It is a newer facility 2. It is cleaner than a lot of places in this area - it rarely has the nasty fecal smell many memory care units have 3. The food is pretty good in terms of variety and portions 4. The staff usually makes adjustments asked for by the doctor or family when they are being monitored 5. Many times I visited they had residents sitting at a communal table doing activities...bouncing balloons, coloring, playing word games, etc. This is a big plus when compared to some other places that simply push them to the nurses station and leaves them there all day. Negatives: 1. It is often understaffed - I have gone more than once and called out for assistance and no one was there monitoring the residents. One time I found workers in a back hallway on their phones. 2. Although company policy (and legal requirement) is if a resident is injured they have to immediately notify the primary responsible relative, make a digital entry in their online system, and write up the incident in the binder they keep at the nurses station desk, they do not always do that. Unfortunately there were several times this did not happen and I only found out my mom was injured when either myself or a visiting medical caregiver saw the injuries. I had to contact corporate, notify state agencies, and even had to call the police once to get them to tell me the truth about what had happened. 3. They do not always tell you the truth about your loved one's status. My mother had a cerebral hemorrhage (stroke) that left her unresponsive. They did not notice until the afternoon and then told me she was "sleepy" and as a precaution needed to go to the hospital. The truth was she had a massive stroke/cerebral hemorrhage earlier in the day (per the neurologist) that took her life 4 days later. I will never know the truth about when she had her stroke and when they found her non-responsive, but I do know she wasn't just "sleepy". The bottom line is if you place your loved one there YOU MUST: * Monitor their care by visiting at different hours of the day and different days of the week * Advocate for them and make sure the staff understands you expect their needs to be met in a timely manner * Ask questions when something doesn't seem right and verify the answers you get across multiple workers. If more people reported substandard care at facilities like Terra Bella they would be forced to improve the quality of their care. As the saying goes...you have to inspect what you expect.

It NEVER smells clean after they leave. I wouldn't be surprised if they cleaned with water to cut costs. Coupled with the food which was so sub-par it defied definition! There was no consistency, the menu did not provide sufficient fruits, vegetables, and daily nutrients--and was completely unacceptable. The portions were meager, and my mom has lost a tremendous amount of weight. The Mansions is consistently under staffed. It's a revolving door. They have an inability to hire, train, and retain employees! It's someone new each week which says ALOT about a company in whole. There was no protocol in place when a fire alarm went off one night. No one checked to make certain that all residents on each floor were out of their apartments and accounted for. There was no one there to assist them down the stairs. Don't waste your money here! If I could give this place negative stars, I would!!
