Unfortunately I can't remember her name, but I was having an anaphylactic allergic reaction to some crab I accidentally ate and one of the servers rushed to me with an epi-pen and injected it into my leg, on top of giving me benadryl. My dad was asking everyone if anyone had an epi-pen, and this lady did and after she administered it, she sat with me until the swelling in the throat went down. I just wanted to thank her. The wedding was very nice, they put you up in a tent behind the building and we lucked out with some great weather. They are certainly serviceable and clean, but in dire need of some upgrades. We had dinner the night before the wedding and breakfast the morning after at their buffet that is an incredible let down compared to ordering food from the bar. Lackluster set up, mediocre food, and just a bit of a mess. I'd recommend grabbing a couple drinks on the deck and a bite to eat from the bartenders for the best experience. So while everyone was completely rushing for everything in the party, and trying to load up and get out, there were 3 employees waiting and staring at us to start cleaning out the room. We also weren't greeted or instructed to areas but the host we were supposed to have. On top of being already expensive for a room and time lost, they don't allow for external meals, except for desserts. So either you pay a fortune for pizza (that is brought EXTERNALLY from Fat Angelo's) or you simply don't get food for a literal birthday party. They did provide an ice cream cake and decorations, but when asked for the party girls name, we were expecting the cake to at least have her name written on it. It was too hot for me to consider eating something that was billed to taste like french onion soup. But now, I regret the decision. I did try one of the $6 pit beef sandwiches after seeing the smoker in the back. Man, that was serious and resulted in a fantastic smoke ring. And the $4 milkshakes were pretty fantastic, especially the strawberry. And no fair experience is complete without funnel cake. The one from the permanent structure was fantastic. Also we took in a clogging show and watched a whole lot of goats get judged. The rides were a lot of fun for the kids. I found the ferris wheel to be terrifying, but enjoyed the bumper cars. This room was really cool too because you start out with your group separated into two booths and you can see one another but can't hear each other and you have to figure out how to break out into the bigger room, I liked that different start.
