The B&B is in a convenient location if you want to explore the shops around the square. Negatives: Everything in the room felt like it needed an update. The bed itself and bathroom were clean, but the rest of the room didn't feel extremely clean. The carpet was stained pretty badly, which gives me "Icks". The shower is also VERY small. I'm not sure how a large man would make that work. The biggest problem we had was that, when she took us to our room, she informed us that we would be having breakfast at a restaurant down the street in the morning. She handed us a beat up menu and said to tell them we were a guest there. We were pretty taken aback. Part of the reason we booked this B&B, or any B&B for that matter, is the homemade breakfast experience, prepared by your host. The description on the website, bragged about her wonderful breakfasts. Once we figured out that the "restaurant " was actually a bar and grill, we decided to go find a good breakfast out of town. So, we paid twice for our breakfast. However when we arrived, which was well after the allowed check-in time, we found no one there and also the street,parking area, steps and sidewalk were all covered in 6 or more inches of snow. We phoned her and she was rather rude. She then came to the inn but at that pint we were not able to wait for her to try and clear the snow. We told her we would find lodging elsewhere--she agreed to a full refund but then never gave us refund. She eventually did refund us but not full amount. We should have gotten full refund. It is hotel/lodging responsibility to provide clear/safe passage to their establishments. I would never recommend this property.

Our hosts couldn't have been kinder or more helpful! Not only did they prepare perfect meals, and have a lovely room, they told us about the history of the inn, and helped us find local genealogists who could help us on our search. After all, they are on Balsinger Road, and I was looking for Balsinger ancestors! :-) We enjoyed walking around the beautiful property in the evenings. They had to laugh when I asked if there was any place nearby who sold rocks. I told them I liked to save rocks from places that are meaningful to me. I explained that my part of Texas has few rocks but lots of clay. They were still smiling when they said "we have a great big pile of rocks out back, so help yourself!" (I really wanted just two) I thought that was really sweet and thoughtful! I was very sad when I read the really negative review of their B&B and of them personally. They were nothing but kind to us. We love B&B's and always try to be guests that would be welcomed in someone's home, and give our hosts as good an experience with us as we would like to receive from them.

First, some of these previous reviews are a bit harsh. I would like to mention that the innkeepers, Nancy and Bill, do run an extremely tight ship here at the Inne. With that being said, the moment you step on the property you would understand why. The outdoor areas are beautiful, and impeccably well maintained. Once you walk inside, you will notice antiques galore. There is nothing about this bed and breakfast that is overlooked or not taken care of. It's extremely clean, and they are still taking covid percussions. As you book your stay you will notice that this isn't a "Hampton Inn establishment" Nancy, the innkeeper keeps track of everything on her own, mostly with pen and paper. Nothing here is done at morph speed, and based off of other reviews, it seems as though some guests take this the wrong way. When you arrive, the innkeeper will meet you in person and ask you what you would like to drink for breakfast the next day and if you would prefer a 8AM, or 9AM dining time. This was my first time staying at a bed and breakfast, so I didn't really know what to expect. We stayed in the "Laurel Suite" which is also known as the honeymoon suite. It was $199 for the night, and most certainly worth it. The bed was giant, with a huge sitting area and private bathroom with jacuzzi tub. I was really pleased with how quiet the Inne was, we slept great! It was tough, but I managed to plan for all of the other rooms in the Inne to be booked by family and friends staying for our wedding, this was one of my favorite parts of the whole weekend! Just being able to be together for the wedding, know we were all safe, and then eat breakfast the next day was amazing. We also took full advantage of the beautiful firepit outside, we sat out there pretty late and just enjoyed the peace and quiet of the surrounding farmland. The next morning for breakfast I was very happy with what the innkeepers prepared for us, again, it was Nancy and Bill making the food and bringing it to our tables themselves. They do it all! Beautifully presented stuffed french toast. This wasn't an optional meal choice, but they did ask if each guest wanted sausage or not (which appeared to be high quality) Ultimately, our stay was great. We had a wonderful wedding and a wonderful stay. The area itself, although it may not feel like it on the property, is still in Uniontown PA which is a very slow paced town (I can say this, I grew up here) Uniontown is a very old school town, and for the reviewers to say they are not welcome here, I could understand the feeling but also would like to say as the bride who booked the entire bed and breakfast, spent lots of money, and stayed here... I still didn't get the "Hi, so happy you're here" feeling from the Inne. The personalities here are quite serious, and to the point. I am telling you, don't take it personally. Their home is attached to the Inne, and they take everything that happens here very seriously - along with who stays here, they just care deeply about the Inne, and after staying and seeing how involved they are, I can understand the personalities described a bit more - they're busy people, trying to keep this place in perfect shape. If you are someone traveling from out of town, visiting Ohiopyle, or other destinations in the area - this is a wonderful, beautiful, quaint place to stay. Don't expect anything to be "at your finger tips" like we tend to do these days, booking here is like you take a step back in time. To me, once we got through the booking and planning, everything was smooth sailing. Rooms are nice, clean and affordable - and breakfast is provided! The outdoor areas may not have a pool or anything, but there are hammocks, 0 gravity chairs, and other nice perks. Please be mindful when booking, I would ask if there is a wedding going on that evening - you might not have the peaceful stay that I described in my review (since we were the ones up late that night and there was no one else staying at the Inne)

After I teed off from the blue tees and drove into the fairway, I could tell why the prices are within reason. The fairway is relatively torn, and the cart paths look like they were in a mine field. It's an abysmal process to drive on the cart paths, my bag almost fell off of the cart numerous times. The course layout isn't bad, it's very hilly, but we are in Western PA. The overall golf experience itself isn't bad, but the maintenance of the course is definitely something to consider when playing this course. I would recommend this course to an amateur golfer in the Washington County area, still a fun track to play.

I stayed in the Chateau which did a fantastic job of integrating its artwork throughout while complimenting its architectural design. It felt as if I entered a historic museum. Butler service started the moment you get past the security checkpoint at the main entrance. Car valeted, bags to your room, and a bath can be ready for you. All and I mean all of the staff were super friendly and hospitable. There is a cigar lounge and shop that has a decent selection of spirits and cigars. Outdoor seating is also available on the massive patio area which connects to the lobby bar. For the sake of exclusivity I did not post the room interior. I did stay in the king bedroom which had multiple chandeliers, fully digital control operated lighting, curtains, and tv from the iPad. There was a proper coated iron tub which your butler is willing to make for you. Just call and request. The toilet was definitely what you'd expect in a luxury room, Fully automated, climate controlled seat, adjustable water temps and pressure, massaging, UV light, and several other features. In short walk up to it, handle business, still wipe yourself, and walk away. The shower had plenty of space and offered the waterfall/overhead feature most ideal for washing hair. The bed was comfortable and cooling. I do recommend ordering from the pillow menu. As a bonus there is a sweet treat brought to your room every evening. There is a menu for wake up call and refreshment service in the morning. Make sure you put the time in thirty minute increments. When I doubt rely upon your butler service. The housekeeping provided was excellent and comically enough it seemed everything I got out the bed and left I came back it was fully made. I was very appreciative of that. Don't worry about the PJ's landing and take offs. The noise cancellation in your room is more than adequate. 5 out of 5

We recently did a long summer stay at Nemacolin with two families (kids aged 7-15). We stayed in…read more"The Homes" (2-bed, 2.5-bath), which felt like upgraded ski lodges and worked perfectly for a family layout. However, parking at our lodge was a constant battle as staff members frequently took up guest spots. The resort has fun, quirky artwork and a great commitment to sustainability (the bee sanctuary was a highlight), but it is a mixed bag overall. The animal exhibits left us feeling a bit uneasy, as the animals seemed depressed. Service was also inconsistent. While the staff was generally nice, it was clear they need better training on luxury guest hospitality. Service took a major nosedive during prime dinner hours, and bars frequently ran out of signature ingredients. The dining was our biggest letdown. At Fawn & Fable, we were plagued by fruit flies/fungus gnats during dinner. The cocktails were easily the best on the resort, and the prime rib was good (though unmemorable), but my brother's steak was completely overcooked. Gusto!, the Italian spot on campus, was fine but ultimately forgettable. Nemacolin is an interesting place with plenty to do, and I can see it being a magical winter wonderland with snow. But right now, it lacks the execution and polish to justify a luxury tag.
