Steve was very professional and upfront asking a few questions: What city? How bad was my dad's health and condition? Does he have insurance to pay for it? Any pets? Can he drive? etc After that Steve called me back 20 minutes later with appointments to 4 different facilities. We went to visit the first 3 which were a bit on the spendy side and then the last one my dad fell in love with. They even asked us to try out the food for free. So we had a nice dinner to top it off. Yesterday we went to put in a deposit and filled out the application for him to move in 3 weeks. This company was a life saver and made what seems like a stressful process simple and convenient. Highly recommend them to anyone that has aging loved ones that need assisted living.

I can't express in words how special Nadeen Marcus is... she is Marketing Director by title, but…read morethat's only the beginning. When searching for senior living for my mother, she was very approachable, informative and attentive, knew all the right questions to ask, and clearly her goal was *not* to get a quick close... but to make sure all the choices I made would be the best for my situation. She genuinely cares about real people making real decisions about real lives, and ensuring the *quality* of those lives is second to none. My mother moved from out of state and timing of arrival wasn't set in stone, but Nadeen kept us informed of options, checked in regularly, and made sure when the time came, that all went smoothly upon arrival. Now that mom is here, you will see Nadeen as a warm, pleasant and smiling fixture of the Parklane community, going around greeting residents... who are not just residents to her, they are family... you are made to feel right at home by her. When my mom ran into some difficult challenges, though not officially her responsibility, Nadeen went above and beyond the call of duty to check on her, reach out to myself and to other resources, and helped me understand the best options and how to navigate the best paths to these options... all a true blessing, as caring for a senior parent is new to me, and it became scary at times... Nadeen helped alleviate that stress as she knows the landscape, she knows the world of senior living and truly, truly cares. She is a very special part of The Wentworth at Parklane! You will see her helping out all around the place, bringing smiles, and a sense of safety and security to all... when she's around, you know all is ok! :-)

Virtually every visit we've run into an issues ranging from feces all over the bathroom floor, to bumps, bruises and bleeding, to no showers, to lost items, to no cleaning and laundry service. When I've walked the floors after 9 PM, I often can't find a single person at the nurses station (behind the glass enclosure). Walking the halls turns up no employees as well. Each time we notify staff about issues, we get apologies and promises for improvement. However, things never get any better. Legacy has had leadership issues and turnover at the top levels. If you're looking for a newer facility with nice furniture and building amenities, this is a good option if you can afford it. If you're looking for a facility where your loved one will be happy, look elsewhere.

Didn't do night checks, despite the standing medical orders to do so. In several occasions we encountered a woman yelling "don't leave me" "help me" only to be scolded the staff. Many were left alone I. The common area til very late at night. All alone, covered in food. When going to see out help for our parent, the residents would ask/ beg for assistance. This is not a place I would Recommend to leave anyone. They obviously need more competent staff.

It was heartbreaking to watch my father suffer in pain and never getting what he needed.

The only way to get management (Bobby, the "Executive Director") to respond is to get in front of him to complain. He then responds, but it doesn't last long and problems are reoccurring. I am not one to write a negative review to this degree until tonight. My MIL's room has a critical maintenance issue. We just learned this issue is throughout other rooms. This is a health concern. It was reported to the staff and again the next day to Bobby directly. Our concerns fell on deaf ears. Now on the weekend we learn the problem is not resolved and there is no building maintenance on the weekends. How is it that a facility of this size, with elderly care needs, has no maintenance on weekends? This is unacceptable. In the past all the excuses for lack of attention to issues have been understaffing due to Covid. While we understand the challenges businesses have faced and continue to face, there are things that can't be ignored. Care of our mother cannot be ignored! When she pushes her button she cannot wait an hour for help! Batteries in the alert system around her neck need to be checked regularly by the staff. It's issues such and this that bring us great concern. There have been many kind and caring caregivers who have loved my MIL. For that we are grateful. Unfortunately the best people are leaving and this allows for concern as to why. I wonder what the staff goes through, as we hear there are many unhappy residents with complaints such as ours. I don't know the management personally so I can judge only based on our experience. The conclusion is that this beautiful facility is managed and run poorly. Someone at corporate needs to start paying attention!
