Overall, we had a nice stay at Manor Vail Lodge but our room was quite outdated. We enjoyed the location as it was away from the busier areas but still convenient to the shops and restaurants via the shuttle. There were also nice trails next to the lodge and we liked walking them. I've posted photos from the trails. Note that if you want to ski in / ski out, this lodge didn't have that convenience while we were there as the lift at this end of town (Golden Peak) was closed to the public so we had to take the shuttle to Vail Village. The breakfast included with our stay was amazing and our favorite amenity. It had a delicious assortment of food and beverages with a made-to-order omelet bar. I posted a photo of one of our plates. The attendants (Jag and another sweet lady) remembered our names every day and were very welcoming. Our guest room was large and well equipped with pots, pans, dishes, appliances and such. The room, however, was quite outdated...fake plants, decor, couches, furniture, tv, fridge, stove, etc. looked to be from the 90s era and our outdated shower curtain/bar combo kept falling in the middle of the night. The older microwave stopped working. The resort itself looked great but our room definitely needed some love and we were a bit disappointed about that. Apparently, you can request a more updated room but I only know that from reading other reviews now (as I was trying to see if other rooms might have been nicer). Nobody told us at the time of checking in or before we arrived that the rooms were different as far as updating. Also, parking was $30 per day which is quite steep. Otherwise, we enjoyed the lodge and, of course, Vail is amazing!

Friendly, unobtrusive staff. Beautiful grounds, lots of outdoor nooks to sit and relax. Just a few minutes from Vail Village. The room we got included a full kitchen. Excellent use of space. There's an accordian style dividing wall that shortages the master bed from the living room that included another sleeping area with a Murphy bed. Each section had it's own tv. The bathroom with 2 sinks had 2 entries, one from the kitchen via a pocket door, the other from the main living area. A second pocket door is to the commode and shower. The lodge provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. It was a decently stocked kitchen, and included dish detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, tissue. The bed was super comfortable. There was lots of storage and a fireplace. Walking out on the deck had seating and a gas grill. Grab to go breakfast was better than expected, included bags for you to take hard-boiled eggs, yogurts, quite a variety of boxed cereals, just add hot water oatmeals, cooked egg sandwiches, teas, coffee, juices, danishes, packaged cupcakes, and what looked like fresh fruit cups! Would highly recommend and come back!

The fams & I loved staying here. I found the lodge on Yelp after searching for condos to stay in Vail. The price was just right given that I saw places upwards $500 a night. It was located in Vail Village - walking distance to eateries, shops & gondolas. The property was lovely and overlooked the mountains. Check-in was so easy. They were so kind at the front desk and the staff we met throughout the property was just stellar! Our unit (#360) was located on the 3rd floor just by the elevator. Everything about the unit was incredible. From the granite countertops, copper sinks & wooden ceilings. I could sit on the outdoor balcony probably all day and look at the breathtaking views. Since it was a condo, there was a full kitchen, 1.5 bath (1/2 bath connected to bedroom) and the bedroom was separated from the living room. It was extraordinary, I'm tellin' ya! I felt extremely lucky to have spent a couple days there! There was a complimentary breakfast spread in the AM. Because of COVID, it was all grab & go, but a nice selection! I could only imagine what it looked like pre-COVID. There were 2 pools and there was a bridge connecting it to Ford Park and several walking trails. Parking was underground for $17/day. I could see us staying here for an extended period of time. I'm sure it's bustling during ski season. The condo was perfect for a family of 3-4 ppl (kiddos can sleep in the living room & parents take the bedroom. We bought food at the Whole Foods in Frisch before heading up, so we were able to cook & prep food in our kitchen. Thank you Manor Lodge for such an amazing stay. We will be back & recommend your lodge to others in the future!

Love, love, loved our stay!! Highly recommend! We stayed in a one bedroom (platinum) and had a great time! The breakfast alone was worth the trip, complete with omelet station! My son had one every day and commented on how much he loved his sausage and bacon creation. My favorites were the fruit (in separate bowls, which is appreciated since mixed fruit just tastes like cantaloupe--gross!), eggs, and waffles. The bikes were also a wonderful treat! We used them 3 days, the fourth they were being used. They have 2 cruiser bikes that you can use for 2 hours. A definite savings and convenience. We rented bikes for the boys at their bike shop, Vail Bike Hub. The lobby always had tea (thank you for having green tea and chamomile!) and hot cocoa, a big hit with the boys! They had cookies or brownies late morning on some of the days. Our room was also clean, well decorated, and the housekeeping staff always did an excellent job! Pool was a hit each afternoon after our daily activities!

We were two of the lucky ones who stayed in a beautiful studio condo at Manor Vail, on the 2nd floor (with elevator). It had an expansive balcony with a stunning view of the lift and the beautiful resort grounds. Our condo, owned by the Fuhrmann family, had beautiful built-ins and a show-stopper bed with a western motif, stone fireplace, and lovely decorations. The open kitchen, though tiny, had everything necessary for those wanting to cook (not us!). The bathroom had a vanity with double sinks, but could use some updating. The condo had very comfortable furniture, and was just perfect for us. Breakfast was very good, with excellent service, and the people at the front desk were friendly and helpful. I'd love to offer and special commendation to the young woman with whom we had a long and terrific conversation, who went out of her way to make sure I had fresh coffee before she went off duty at midnight. I was so sure I would remember her name that I didn't write it down, and of course I can't remember it. Rats! I'm giving this 5 stars, but this is so personal, because all the condos are individually owned. It's totally the luck of the draw, unless you can request a specific unit based on one of the rave reviews. For us, it was a little bit of heaven.

Pros: delicious breakfast! location makes it easy to take shuttle or stroll the Ford gardens, patio, full kitchen, fireplace, quiet in room, pretty views Cons: expensive, hard to navigate if it is your first time, not very disability friendly, really dark at night when you are trying to walk to room from shuttle, bugs filling up hot tub-eww!, 17.00 a night parking (lame.)

I was trying to think of a reason to not give this place 5 stars but there is not one reason why! The location is perfect, at the base of a lift backed into a creek with pine trees around it. It is within walking distance of all the cute shops and eateries. We stayed in room 285 and it was super cozy. The kitchen has granite, open floor plan, fireplace, with two full bathrooms. My fave was the balcony overlooking the creek and pines. At night we slept with the windows open (40degrees) and that was really special. In Houston you just can't do that unless you wanna get robbed- lol! The space was immaculately clean and the decor was rustic. It was really hard leaving, Vail is just heaven on earth! Shout out to Blake from Sharpstown-- great front desk host!

We especially loved the spa and the complimentary tea service, which was such a nice touch. The front desk associate who checked us in was very kind and welcoming, and the concierge was extremely helpful and friendly, which made our arrival and stay feel very smooth and stress-free. A few small notes about the room: even though it was very cold outside, the room stayed quite warm at night and we ended up sleeping with the door cracked every evening. The vanity plug-in mirror in our room didn't work, and on the first night we placed the "no maid service" sign on the door, but housekeeping still entered and cleaned the room while we were out. Dining and service were overall great. At Bully Ranch, the hostess wasn't the friendliest, but our server was wonderful and made up for it. The staff at The King's Club were fantastic -- our waitress was from Costa Rica and was absolutely lovely. The German mulled hot wine was delicious, and her recommendation of the Tequila Mockingbird was excellent. I was hoping for a true chai latte, but the one at Trefe Café tasted more like warm milk with cinnamon rather than a traditional chai. On the positive side, the valet and room service staff were amazing, and the spa team was incredibly kind and welcoming -- they truly made the experience special. Overall, a beautiful hotel with great amenities, a perfect location, and mostly excellent service. Just a few small details to improve, but we had a very enjoyable stay.

After stopping at several locations along the way, we finally arrived at The Ritz-Carlton Club, Vail, and from the moment you pull in, you immediately understand why this place is special. As soon as you arrive, the valet staff greets you right away. The Ritz truly offers full-service hospitality. You simply take any personal items you want with you and head inside to check in while they handle everything else. They unload all of your luggage, neatly place any loose items into a nice bag, park your vehicle, and once they see you've made it to your room, your luggage is delivered shortly after. Walking through the front doors, there is a table set up with hand lotion, several different SPF sunscreens, hand sanitizer, and baskets of washcloths for guests returning from outside activities -- a very thoughtful touch. Check-in was quick and effortless. The staff explained the amenities, where everything was located, and then off to our room we went. We stayed in a two-bedroom unit, and when we opened the door we were immediately impressed. The decor was beautiful and upscale without feeling overdone. The entryway included a half bath, followed by a dining area and small bar setup. The kitchen featured Bosch and Breville appliances, which added to the luxury feel. The living room had a sofa bed, comfortable seating, and a large tv over the fireplace that made the room feel very cozy and a balcony looking at the slops. Both bedrooms were nearly identical and absolutely stunning, each with: a huge king bed, a large bathroom, heated floors, a separate shower and Jacuzzi tub, and double sinks. One of the bedrooms also had a balcony. Every evening starting around 4 p.m., the resort hosts different socials including cookies, wine tastings, and later bourbon tastings. It really added to the overall experience and made the property feel even more welcoming and luxurious. There is honestly so much more I could say about this property, but overall we absolutely loved our stay. If you are looking for one of the best places to stay in Vail, this is it.

My recent stay at Tivoli Lodge in Vail was unacceptable and far below the standards one expects from a property of this reputation and location. We checked in after a winter storm and were assigned room 403 on the fourth floor. The room was freezing, with a heating unit that did not function properly. After contacting the front desk, maintenance briefly attended to the issue, but the problem was not resolved. During the first night, the heat became excessive and uncontrollable. With a new and inexperienced front desk attendant on duty, and the likelihood that no maintenance staff would be available, we were forced to open the balcony door in winter conditions simply to make the room tolerable. During that same night, water began dripping/leaking from the ceiling. The following day, after returning from breakfast, the room had again become excessively hot. The thermostat still did not function. Maintenance was sent once more and noted they repaired it, but within minutes, significant water dripping leakage developed not just a minor drip, but a steady and concerning flow from the ceiling and wall framing in both the entry and bathroom areas. Our carpets were drenched our sock wet At that point, we had no choice but to demand a room change and were moved to room 405, , which was a much larger and nicer room. While the heating system there functioned properly, it still presented issues, including a broken closet handle another clear sign of poor upkeep. What made the situation worse was how it was handled. Housekeeping staff pressured us by their immediate presence to vacate quickly so the room could be reset, despite the hotel being nearly empty. This was unnecessary and inconsiderate. Shortly thereafter, a staff member returned and knocked aggressively on our door over a forgotten item. The manner was inappropriate and unprofessional. Although there were moments of professionalism particularly a mature front desk associate with a Caribbean accent who was pleasant, friendly, and helpful I would also like to recognize her more fully. She stood out as someone who was genuinely trying her best to be kind, attentive, and helpful under difficult circumstances. Her demeanor, patience, and willingness to assist were appreciated and reflected the level of service the hotel should consistently strive to provide. Unfortunately, the overall experience still reflected a lack of coordination, training, and accountability. In contrast, a late evening desk clerk was unable to provide even basic assistance in locating open dining options, citing unfamiliarity with the area. I understand that between-season periods can present operational challenges. However, if the resort is open, it should be fully prepared to serve and satisfy the guests it chooses to accommodate especially when occupancy is so low. We did not create these problems the hotel did. Yet at no point did we receive a strong or meaningful apology, nor any gesture to help ameliorate the situation. Both are not only appropriate but expected under these circumstances. As a result of these ongoing issues, we made the decision to leave on Thursday instead of Friday, as we felt it was simply not worth extending our stay to the schedule day. This only compounded our disappointment it was a choice we made based on our experience. I would also strongly suggest that management exercise better judgment when the hotel is operating at very low occupancy. In such circumstances, guests should be proactively upgraded to the best available rooms rather than being assigned rooms with known or even obvious deficiencies. This experience reflects poorly on the management of Tivoli Lodge. A property that is largely empty has no excuse for assigning a defective room, failing to resolve repeated maintenance issues, and handling guest disruptions so poorly. Tivoli Lodge is a beautiful property with a great location, but this was a sad and disappointing experience. PD ...I would also like to note a truly positive experience during our stay at The Little Diner, a Vail institution well known for its accolades in both service and quality of food, delivered an outstanding breakfast experience. His professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness were exceptional and stood in sharp contrast to the challenges we encountered at the hotel. Jose Pienknagura 602-321-2004 Josepienknagura@gmail.com

The one frustrating thing was trying to add a name to the reservation. At hotels, you can just call down to the front desk and get that taken care of. Here, I had to go to an owners portal (I'm not even an owner.... Just booked it direct on the Marriott website) and fill out a bunch of information about the guest, including their email address and address. It took them a long time to process, and I wasn't sure if the second person was going to end up having issues checking in. So, make sure you have all of your names right on the reservation to begin with! The shuttle was very quick both heading to Vail and leaving Vail. I was a little confused as to where to pick up the shuttle though at the hotel. I stayed in Evergreen and they said the shuttle would pick me up in front of the building, but I didn't know exactly where that was. The hotel's listing claimed "luxurious mountain retreat", "elevated experience, "recent renovations" and showed beautiful photos, but my experience was nothing like what was advertised. We booked a 5-night stay for New Year's week to celebrate my birthday, paying $10,000 during peak pricing. We chose this hotel for its location over newer and less expensive options, only to be met with a room that was outdated, dirty, and poorly maintained. Room Conditions: * Stained carpets and walls * Damaged headboard and cracked bathroom tiles * Moldy, peeling wallpaper and a musty, moldy smell in the bathroom * Dirty towels, scratched lamps, toothpaste spatter on the mirror, and stained sink and counters * A broken deadbolt on the door Service: The service was equally disappointing. At check-in, I immediately reported the room's condition, but the front desk staff refused to assist, telling me to speak to a manager the next morning. Over the next two days, I spoke with several staff members, including those claiming to be managers, yet nothing was resolved. I was told no other rooms were available, and they could not do anything. I asked to check out early and cancel my remaining days of my prepaid stay. They did agree but I am still waiting for refund. One manager, Bryanna, was especially rude and dismissive, showing no willingness to help. The staff seemed inexperienced and untrained, which I later learned was due to new management. Final Thoughts: This stay has been a nightmare. I've wasted days of my trip trying to resolve these issues with the hotel and Expedia, and I am still waiting for a refund for the unused nights. On top of that, the bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable, with no alternatives offered. This hotel is overpriced, poorly managed, and far from the luxury experience it advertises. Avoid it at all costs--it's not worth the money, the frustration, or the disappointment.
