We stayed at the all seasons, which is a short walk away. Our place was a 2 bed, 2 bath on the 2nd level. PROs 2 fans for each bedroom - the box fan was nice to prop by the window to bring in cold air at night. Cleaning provided every day. Very cozy and a lot of seating options. Great location in east vail / close to walking trail to the covered bridge. Good water pressure in the showers! CONs The kitchen was pretty scarce with basics - some salt and pepper but no coffee. We tried using the cd player but many cds were missing. The tv in the living room only had channels 1-20 working. The fridge filter needs to be changed and it makes a weird noise when it's opened. The primary toilet seems low pressure and not flushing. We loved being close to the amphitheater and the bus was convenient to get to west vail. Would stay here again in summer or winter! read more

We stayed in one of their apartments in Vail Village and while the location was great, the rooms are way dated. It helps you get a fully equipped kitchen, large living room but everything is so old for the pricey tag. I suggest some upgrades to make it more welcoming. read more

We loved our recent stay at the Christiana! The location is perfect-a one minute walk to Red Lion - and many other shops and restaurants. Our room was adorable, very quaint and comfy! Slept great! The breakfast is included and has pretty good options. Coffee and tea is available in the room and and all day near the lobby. Make sure you book a room that is on one of the higher levels- (lowest floor is actually partially underground). Rooms in back face the creek and have beautiful views of the aspens. The pool is heated and a wonderful place to relax. We will be back! read more

Can't beat the location, ski in and ski out. Walkable to everything in Vail Village. Do NOT stay in room 210. Had we been in a better room, my review would be much higher. Room 210 was not only dated, but uncomfortable and impractical. There are combiners in the kitchen that don't open because of the oven, the toilet paper holder fell off the wall, the list goes on. The furniture is awful, it's falling apart and one of the couches slants down to the ground, literally. Everything is well worn. For the price point, the quality of this room was very disappointing. Our friends have stayed in other units and reported they were in much better shape, a more pleasant stay. Unfortunately that wasn't our experience in room 210. I would strongly recommend avoiding this room when booking. If you're able to do so, I think you'll have a very pleasant 4-5 star stay! read more

Great little Bavarian style hotel that almost backs up to the slopes in Vail Village. We were able to walk everywhere! Steps away from everything, Vendetta's, Big Bear Bistro, and the Red Lion are around the corner. If possible, I'd recommend a room that faces the river in the spring/summer so you can hear the water. We enjoyed the balcony throughout our stay. There's a heated pool that we didn't use but it looked well maintained. For parking, there's an above ground lot in front of the hotel (not sure if they have a garage). Our room was cozy and offered a ton of storage. There were basic in-room amenities such as a mini fridge, iron, toiletries, hair dryer, etc.. The TV was a bit small and basic but it's not like you're really watching TV when you're in Vail... The continental breakfast was perfect for us, they had different cereals, breads, coffee, tea, yogurt, and some other things. Not a big enough hotel to have room service but they had plenty of directories of restaurants in the area that delivered. Staff was friendly and had tons of local recommendations for dining and hiking. Would return anytime! read more

Absolutely LOVED our stay here! We bought a one night stay through Groupon to celebrate our anniversary and I think it was around $150. We walked in to our room and immediately fell in love! It's just so warm and cozy and actually feels like a home. It didn't feel like every other hotel you stay at. We had a beautiful view on our porch, tv, and of course a king size bed! It was so COMFY! What was even better was when we walked out, we turned left and we were right in Vail Village! Great location! The ONLY thing I was a little disappointed in was the breakfast.. I felt like there wasn't really much to choose from. But, that didn't ruin my stay or my rating! Would LOVE to stay here again! read more

Very nice staff! Nice balconies, rooms are comfy, great bedding, and a bit outdated however it gives you a feel for being in Bavaria or Switzerland. Location is terrific! Perhaps Replace carpeting. Staff leaves at 10 and a group of young adults with seemingly missing chaperones are at the pool at 11:30 at night. Loud at the pool. Canon balls at the pool. Hotel staff has addressed the issue with the group and it should be resolved. So much for the peace and serenity of a babbling brook. Parking is odd, the lot is pretty small and they charge for it. You have to go in and out of the hotel to get a wand to open gate. Hopefully there's a spot for you because you paid for it. read more

Would rate 0 stars if I could. Amidst an international Coronavirus pandemic where all companies are being responsible, Christiania is being the greedy stickler. We booked our trip to visit the lodge in December and have decided not to travel we let them know way in advance that we will need to cancel due to the global situation. Their position is that they do not do any refunds, cancellations or arrangements of any kind under any situation. I feel we're being robbed of our full trip cost on this situation, needless to say I will never return or stay at their property ever again and I suggest you all do the same. read more

Amazing location just steps from the gondola. Probably the best location in Vail. Very authentic Euro historic ski vibe. But... Non-existent management. It looks like to me someone dumped a pile of money into this place in the 90's with gorgeous furnishings, handrails, doors, etc. but now no one is keeping it up. Broken ice machine, cracked sinks, chipped woodwork, non-working amenities, etc. No one is watching the shop. One employee on the entire property present so don't expect any service of any kind. Despite what the website says, no breakfast is included. You have to pay for it. Ski valet is a storage room that you do yourself. Says is part of the Hyatt family but not even close. Low def yestertech TV with miserable user interface. Might as well watch on your computer. Marginal maid service. They will fold you toilet paper tip but won't clean the coffee make and restock the Keurig, or provide fresh towels. No control of the thermostat. Be prepared for multiple sleeping climates. Rooms are very noisy. Bring earplugs. Sorry, Christiania, if this sounds harsh but at $400/night you need to get it together, especially if you are part of the Hyatt brand. read more

I've stayed at the Christiania several years in a row now and each time am impressed at the service and endeared by the feeling of home. Multiple room styles, depending on your group/family's needs (traditional style hotel rooms or full suites with kitchens - and balconies!) Many of the rooms are close enough to the nearby stream to hear it bubbling by as you fall asleep at night. Great pool and backyard area for outdoor seating. Stayed here on an overnight visit to Vail. Very comfortable place. Was recommended by the Visitor Center and we were not disappointed. Right at the base of the mountain; very friendly staff. The owners have managed the place for 30+ years. Furniture is from Austria - very nice chalet look/feel. Ok, it was late August and not exactly prime season in Vail so I can't speak about it during ski season, but for off season this was very nice. There are significant imperfections in this particular building. Alas, I have not yet met the perfect ski in-ski out facility. Bridge Street Lodge is at the center of one of the most glamorous ski areas on earth. Its virtues and liabilities, however, come at extremes, just as the skiing conditions do. On the upside: our suite was superbly equipped and furnished (suite 201). If you are a chef, you will thrill to the subzero refrigerator, well stocked cooking utensils and professional style gas stove. It is situated facing the mountain and is a true ski in and ski out property (adjusted for the gondola, of course). There are multiple bathrooms so there is never any waiting (3 bedrooms, 4 baths). 8 people were accommodated comfortably. The wireless internet connection is superb. On the downside: environemental controls are poor and heat permeates the building at all time. Windows had to left open to make it tolerable. The ski in from the slopes (you could return on the gondola) is arduous from the eastern part of Vail (unless you are an expert skiier on steep icy slopes) but is more tolerable from the benign catwalks coming from the west. The building shares walls with a restaurant/bar and there are bars across the street, so noise can be excessive until 2 am (if you are a night owl, this is superfluous). However, delivery trucks for the shops below the residence arrive to deliver beer and soda and stuff like that at 5am. There is no hot tub and the aggressively heated swimming pool is 1 short block away but offers no locker rooms so be prepared to have your bathing suite fabric freeze solid if you walk home in subzero weather. Parking is OK but not protected, so cars will need to be de-snowed (or de-iced) in bad weather. read more

Great location, within walking distance of the athletic field, Ford Park, just around the corner from gondola one and of course all of Vail Village. But the location also is a minus. Our room was on the front of the property on a corner. Patrons leaving the bars of Vail Village were very loud and obnoxious , it was impossible to sleep with that nonsense, with the last of them screaming their good byes a tad after 2:30 AM. The windows had to be open because this facility does not have ac (which they mention on their website) the room was stifling and the rickety old fan in the room did little to help. The room was small with no area to place the two luggage racks supplied. The bathroom was tiny, just enough room to turn around, no window that opened and the light/fan combo just made an uncomfortably warm room worse. The sink area is also tiny, not enough room for much of anything on the counter. The lighting is poor. The noise and ventilation issues may not be as big of issue during the winter months, but it is a big concern during the summer months, I'm sure the rooms on the back of the property would be quieter. I love this hotel!!! I am local, but decided to have a stay-cation with a friend for a night away from the kids. SO glad we did! The property is beautiful, in the gorgeous Vail Valley, friendly staff and perfect, cozy rooms. I would be very careful dealing with the Christiana folks. They own a number of Vail properties and rent them through VRBO. We stayed in a condo of theirs during March of 2019 and had a fantastic time. Then we booked another trip for one year later and arrived at their doorstep to be told that the entire mountain was closed due to Covid, with zero advance notice of any kind to us. Of course that is out of their control, but the way they handled all of my attempts to contact them to deal with the situation afterwards (i.e. ghosting me and *never* responding to a single call or email) was not OK at all. The people were charming and kind and accommodating. The food was delightful. And the Christiania was great about recommending places around Vail to eat and visit. We stayed at the Villa Valhalla condos. The unit was 2 br, 2ba condo with balcony, it was decorated in early sophmoric cowboys motif and the log dinning room chair were so heavy we had to call the INCREDIBLE HULK in to push and pull the chairs for us, they weighed about 100 pounds a piece. The main bathroom was remodeled in early depression circa 1929. I love Vail but some need property owner's need a wake-up call, they think people will continue to pay outrageous money for dumpy accommodations, not this guy! August 2013: We stayed at the main property (Christiania Inn) in Vail Village. We had a beautiful suite overlooking the "babbling creek". Had a spacious "wrap-around wood deck with wrought iron picnic table and chairs. Had a spacious front room with fire place and a very large master bedroom. Located in the village was fantastic. Had short walks to the many nearby restuarants and shops. The only negative part was the complimentary breakfast was "less-than-desired" and "lacking". So I'm giving it a 1. The location is great. House keepers and breakfast set up ladies do a great job. Front desk people not attentive except for Terry. Valet/ Bellman named David super rude and impatient with my son who was slow putting his ski boots on. Walls super paper thin . Can hear everything above us and beside us. Front desk staff leaves at 11pm. We didn't know that. They don't tell you when you check in. No one to help us get a cab to the airport. I wrote a letter to the manage about my concerns when we first checked in but he never reached out to us. We were there for 4 nights. We will never stay there again. Not worth the money you pay. My husband and I stayed at the Christiania while I attended a business conference. At first, we were thrilled that we got a great deal ($199/night) on a suite, which included two bathrooms, a living room, a bedroom, and a beautiful deck that was near the Gore Creek. There was a smell in the living room, though, that my husband thought was musty but I thought was sewage, as the living room is right next to one of the bathrooms. During our two night stay, we left the windows open to try to get rid of the smell, which still didn't go away. The handle on the shower in the second bath came off every time it was turned to adjust the temperature. The breakfast was cereal/oatmeal, boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, and bagels/english muffins. Finally, despite our door placard stating that we did not want to be disturbed, someone (I can only assume a hotel employee) went into our room after we went to find breakfast on our last morning. We returned to find on the living room floor a sticky mouse trap that had been pulled out from under a piece of the furniture with two dead mice and droppings on it. The shower handle and the breakfast were no big deal to us, and I still would have given the lodge a 3 rating for the smell and the mice. However, upon checkout when we told the woman (Deborah) at the front about the smell, the shower, and the mice, she wasn't concerned about it at all. So, I apologize in advance for anyone who stays in the same room, as it doesn't sound like anything will be done about it. read more
