I never felt rushed or unheard during our many conversations nor did I ever feel like "just another customer", John and Sam came for the install and were incredibly professional, task minded, and left my space spotless -- ready to move items back in! They also had zero communication with us on progress on the job during its production unless I would randomly show up in their office. After being 2 months behind I spoke to Matt Long about if the job could finally be completed by the end of June he said yes and then offered me a discount for the delay in completion. They have now went back on their word and are charging me full price and deny any talks of offering a discount. They did great work but don't expect a quick turn around. They took 6 months to do a new counter top and one cabinet and island enclosure. So if you want good work but want to wait months for your kitchen after you were told it would take 2 weeks from start to finish I guess go with SL Fixture.... But I wouldn't recommend it.

The site was always clean at the end of the day, a difficult feat due to the proximity of the work area. They were responsive to questions/changes and even came in UNDER budget after finding ways to trim costs. Even with weather delays, the project was completed within our timeframe. Our house is old, built in '27, so things are not even and flush. It was a challenging job but it was executed perfectly. The product quality is good but the craftsmanship is very poor. Just like other reviews, I have…read morewavy siding, a piece of siding falling down, an exposed electrical outlet with no cover, exposed nails that could have been avoided had they just went a 1/2 inch higher and I could go on. The contractors that did my house did not pay attention to detail. I feel like the contractor was in a hurry to move on to the next job. I chose Midwest because they had the lowest bid, but had I know the quality was going to be this poor I would have went with another company.

Clean Cut was sub-contracted to do some remodeling and painting. We had no say in who the…read moresub-contractor would be. They really disappointed us . We never knew when they were coming. If they were scheduled to come and they weren't going to make it, they never let us know. The exterior painting does not look as good as is should because they did not scrape well. They also washed their mortar tools in our downstairs floor drain. The drain got clogged, and we had to hire a plumber to fix it. They were also supposed to help us move the shed, but we had to move it ourselves. I would never hire them on my own, and I cannot say that I would recommend them to a friend.

The person taking my call quickly told me that they had three technicians in the field and they should be able to get to Lincoln from Decatur in the early afternoon and they would call before they arrive. I was excited because Springfield OHD couldn't get to me before the 31st of January, two weeks later unless I agreed to pay their overtime rate. Fortunately I called Midwest OHD. Josh called a little after 9:00 and left a voicemail saying he would be there in about 45 minutes. When he arrived he was polite, professional and quickly identified and corrected my problem. After several phone calls again, they finally came back and agreed the job was bad. Said they would make it right! Haven't seen them since!!! I would never do business with them again!!
