As this review was coming together in my head, it was teetering between four and five stars. It has to do with the parking structure and it's unique, split nature. It seems to be split into two halves, with a busway and drop-off zone in between. As I am a lover or simplicity and usability, this design had me asking "why?!" While I've never driven in, I like to keep my reviews detailed and balanced. It took more looking at Google Maps than I care to admit, but I think I have a better understanding now. If I am correct, it has to do with Thomas Burgin Pkwy having a section of road I personally loathe. It contains merging, splitting off, and merging again. Lanes are suddenly added or ended, and all this combined with Massachusetts drivers who think they are immortal! But I digress... There are elevators at the center of the parking structure, and these are both clean and free of the 'lovely' smells so many MBTA elevators are blessed with. While I wouldn't eat off a bench, the station is one of the cleaner ones in the system, and that includes the bathroom. While not immaculate, it's good for a train station. The station is also fairly easy to navigate, as long as you remember which side of the garage you parked on. There is one lobby, and a center platform which is elevator and escalator accessible. This station also has some relics of the past. There was a stall selling 'something' which hasn't been opened in years. The machines used to pay for parking are still around and powered on, though parking is now via an app. Things of that nature. Finally, the staff I've encountered at this station have been friendly and knowledgeable. Boston and the Metro-Boston area are not generally known for amazing subway stations. However, when it comes to cleanliness and relative ease of use, Quincy Adams is up towards the top. Aesthetically, not a work of art, but not an agglomeration of rust, disrepair, and patchwork.

Although the platform was open, exposing you to the weather, they do have areas where you can take shelter while waiting for the next train. There were a couple of restaurant options across the street on Brook St and nearby Hancock St. I was able to grab lunch or dinner before heading back to my hotel.

Not cramped, good spaced out parking but it tends to fill up quickly during peak hours but I haven't experienced any issues. Alternatively you can park at North Quincy Station which is about a 5-minute drive further down the line. Overall, it's hassle-free parking as they don't have anyone in the booth like they did years ago. Be sure to have the PayByPhone app if you want to save $1, or just have them bill your car based on the license plate.

Driver did not stop at designated "Scheduled Bus" stop, instead stopped way far away in a Logan Express area, obscured behind a Logan Express bus. I now have to find my way home at my own expense $76 Uber. Customer service was no help other than telling me to wait ANOTHER 90 minutes for the next one. Which who knows if that one will actually stop where they should??? Applied for refund, unacceptable.

There are escalators and stairs and an elevator from the platform level to the street/ticketing level. The station features visual and audible announcements of the next train in both directions, which is helpful. There are automated ticket machines for adding value or purchasing a Charlie Ticket. When I was here, there was also a red shirted "Can I Help You?" staffer to answer questions. Located between Forest Hills (outbound, the terminus of the line) and Stony Brook (inbound), Green Street is an island platform so the train doors will open on the left.

Green Street station has been good to me…read more Seeing as this is the first stop after a terminal station, the inbound trains are always on time and that right there makes for a positive experience. Not having to hear the PA system announce: "experiencing slight delays due to police action at such and such a station" while waiting for the train to work in the morning gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling all over. It is actually a very clean station inside too. We won't talk about the tracks further down past the platform - you could build a house with the amount of garbage gathered there - but there are trash and recycling bins a plenty, so there is really no need to drop your junk anywhere but in the basura. There is almost always an attendant manning the station. There is an elevator for handicapped citizens or mom's with strollers. Location is great, it empties you out within walking distance to the Arboretum, Jamaica Pond, the Brewery complex (although Stony is closer) and Doyles. I just can't find anything bad to say about this station - except - the hoards of English High School students who swarm the platform every afternoon from 2-3 pm. They are loud, rude and obnoxious. Model citizens in the making, if I may. Maybe I'm just bitter because I have to wait and ride with these heathens three days out of the week...if I only saw them once and a while, I probably wouldn't even mention it. But they ruin my ride into work. You can't hear your iPod. You can't concentrate on a book. You can't hear yourself think in between the hooting, screeching and swearing emitted from these unruly creatures. So I pretty much sit there, brewing, watching and listening to them, because I have no choice. Which is why I'm not a teacher at an inner city high school. Point in case. Otherwise, Green is the queen of the Orange Line!

Here in Hingham, that "inside" is the Hingham Ferry Terminal. A large block building that is mostly offices but actually has a waiting area, clean restrooms and a counter where you can purchase tickets for the ferry. The building is handicapped accessible and the way from here down to the ship is not perfectly handicapped accessible (it is a floating dock) but it can be navigated by wheelchair. There are also handrails for most of the journey. There is a large parking lot available.

Savin Hill is on the Ashmont branch of the Red Line. It is an above ground station and is next to Interstate 93. It is between JFK/UMass (inbound) and Fields Corner (outbound). Located below the crossover of Savin Hill Avenue, the station is handicapped accessible with an elevator between the platform level and the ticketing concourse. There are audible and visible announcements of the next train in either direction. The station has the usual automated ticket vending machines to purchase a Charlie Ticket or add value to your Charlie Card. A staff booth was unoccupied when I was here in the afternoon. The station platform is covered but quite breezy. I would imagine it gets very cold while you're waiting for a train. Woohoo, I have now been to every station on the Red, Orange, Blue and Green lines from Lechmere to Reservoir, Forest Hills to Oak Grove, Wonderland to Bowdoin and Alewife to Ashmont. Woot! I live exactly halfway between, in consideration of both time and distance. I choose to walk to Savin Hill, despite it's a step backwards in my commute (to Central Square) One of Savin Hill's best comparative features is that it DOESN'T smell like urine! Another is the cleaning crew I see at least a few mornings a week. The station was renovated a few years back, and they really manage the up-keep well. On the first of the month, the staff here is always very helpful while people struggle to buy the new month's LinkPass. And though this has nothing to do with the MBTA, there's a coffee shop, a dry cleaners and a bar all within 100 feet. Savin Hill FOR THE WIN!

Years ago this station was much better. Morning rush hour trains are consistently 5-10 minutes late…read moredue to the amount of passengers that get on at this stop and proceeding stops. MBCR needs more conductors on these trains to collect tickets and have more doors open for boarding/disembarking to speed up transit times. There is not enough parking at the station anymore for the number of commuters. By 8am (for those of us who need to be at work at 9), there are little to (more likely) no parking spots left at the big log on the outbound side. GATRA needs to do something to increase the parking, maybe make a garage-style lot like Route 128 Station, or buy up some of the land from the city of Attleboro to expand ground-level parking. Private lots in the area are also full by 8am. This is a busy station due to commuters taking the train in both directions each morning! Needs more parking!
