This was supposed to be a routine preventive exam, which under my insurance does not require a copay. During the appointment, the doctor asked if I had any concerns since my last visit. I answered honestly, assuming that was a normal part of an annual checkup. At no point was I told that responding to that question could result in an additional charge. Only later did I find out that my visit had been expanded and billed in a way that generated a fee. If discussing concerns during an annual exam leads to extra charges, patients should be clearly informed beforehand so they can decide how to proceed. Given the recent issues involving Dr. Pierce Portin and the office, this kind of billing practice raises additional concerns about transparency and trust. Patients deserve clear communication--not unexpected charges after the fact. Transparency matters. Patients shouldn't be surprised with unexpected charges for simply answering their doctor's questions during what is supposed to be a covered annual visit.

Every visit made me feel more comfortable with my decision. I was unexpectedly told that I would need to be induced three weeks before my due date because of two high blood pressure readings. I was extremely nervous, and after being in the hospital for a few days, the induction unfortunately failed. I was very against having a C-section, but Dr. Gamburg took the time to walk me through the entire procedure and made me feel calm and reassured. In the end, I had a very smooth surgery and recovery. I will forever be thankful that God placed me and my baby in his care and hands.

Not sure what the first reviewer is talking about. Delaware Valley is the worst! I am so glad I…read moreswitched to this practice for my second baby. They answer all my questions, all the specialists they have sent me to have been top notch and they care. Super accommodating so I don't have to take so many days off for prenatal appointments. I can't say enough good things. Super excited for my delivery. Update: I now understand what the first reviewer was talking about. This practice is amazing. That being said I cannot in good faith recommend Dr. Resnick. I needed to get a rhogam shot. By that point my appointment had been rescheduled once already as any working mom knows it is impossible to get off for the amount of OB appointments you need while pregnant especially in a new job. He told me he couldn't give me the shot because they couldn't get my results from the lab. Why he couldn't get the results verbally over the phone is beyond me and he told me to come back next day. My job had already accommodated me for this appointment and wasn't going to do it two days in a row. So he basically says well it's the health of your baby you are putting in jeopardy and basically if my baby's life matters I will make it there the next day. Excuse me? You could have easily given me the shot same day with verbally getting results over the phone and I have a history of getting this shot in previous pregnancy. He also dismissed all my concerns and didn't answer any of my questions nor did he offer any solutions to scheduling issues. Example: I can't come back during normal hours to get the shot can I get the shot elsewhere? I cannot make it to ultrasounds at the hospital can I go to another facility with more flexible hours then 3pm? Just common issues which probably have easy solutions that my pregnant brain couldn't think of at the moment. Instead all I got is well it's up to you, I'm not the schedule police. I am just informing you of the quality of care needed. huh? Seriously? That was not helpful in the least. I left the office in tears thinking, oh great I'm going to kill my baby and this doctor doesn't care. This is where the office team came to my rescue. The scheduling lady went out of her way to give me the latest appointments possible so I can get in as often as I can without losing my job. Laura, the nurse, answered all of my questions and personally offered to stay past her shift to give me the shot the following week. They went above and beyond to help me out and diffuse the situation. I appreciate them immensely. Dr. Ibrahim and Dr. Naraine were exceptional as well. They have great bedside manner. Addressed all my questions and concerns. They were quick to action when needed. They made me feel like I had a say in my own care and trusted my ability to make my own decisions. Their support has been invaluable. I have not yet had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Sison.

After seeing multiple doctors for problems with heart palpatations and infertility issues, Dr. Resnik was the one that helped me determine that I had a thyroid condition; while the other doctors just blamed my symptoms on stress or other non-related issues. He was also the one that notified me that I had submucosal fibroids. Yet Dr. Sison, who performed my annual exam only a month earlier, failed to even notice them. The fibroids are believed to have contributed to my two miscarriages and without the help of Dr. Resnick's diagnosis, I can only wonder how much more heartbreak we would've had to endure (I ended up having surgery to remove them in 2016). Dr. Sison, in my experience, is not a doctor that I would want to see again. I recently made an emergency appointment for pelvic pain that I've been experiencing intermittently since my fibroid surgery and he had the nerve to suggest that it was "psychological". I decided to book a followup appointment with Dr. Resnick, in addition to having my primary doctor order a Pelvic MRI and low and behold, they discovered that not only did my fibroid grow back, but that there was also a cyst. So, Dr. Sison, no it's not psychological and I thank God for Dr. Resnick and the nurse practitioner, Laura, because they're both wonderful!

Knowing that we just found out we were pregnant and I didn't want to travel back to NYC to see my OBGYN, I had to decide where I wanted to go. I asked around - in all different FB groups and read reviews like crazy. EVERYONE recommended DEL VAL! I also had a friend of the family, who just had her 2nd baby say that she WOULDN'T GO ANYWHERE ELSE. So I decided to give DELVAL a chance and boy was I impressed. It takes a lot to impress me as my sister is an OBGYN herself and I hear a lot from her... but I was blown away. First of all, the office staff! And I need to be specific because there is someone in particular who has literally made my day every single time I have been in the office.. GINA! She has been nothing shy of amazing! If there was any issue at all with scheduling or time she would do everything possible to make sure I was taken care of. She is kind, friendly and patient and deserves a RAISE! I feel like she's my OBGYN Mom now :) I have 2 weeks to go before baby arrives and I'm going to miss seeing her all the time. Jenna has also been super super nice and friendly to me each time I have seen her. I actually wasn't feeling well last week at my checkup for 37 weeks and she made me feel very comfortable and relaxed and reassured me that she was right outside if I needed anything and to just yell for her and she would come running. (I was dizzy and lightheaded) Last but not least - the Doctors! AMAZING! I have chosen to not see any of the midwives and have just been seen by Doctors and EVERY SINGLE ONE has been amazing! I made sure throughout my entire pregnancy that I got to see each Doctor and spent a little time with them. I COULD NOT be more pleased. Dr. Ung & Dr. Gamburg I have seen the most because from day 1 I felt so at ease with them. They have been my go-to doctors and have always made me feel I was in the best hands. Dr. Proctor is the sweetest doctor ever. She came in and spoke to me "woman to woman" with no BS attached and being a New Yorker..I appreciated it that. She was so down to earth and easy to talk to. Every doctor's bed side manner was perfect! I have never looked forward to going to the OBGYN office and thanks to DELVAL - I do now. If you are going anywhere else and are unhappy - leave and come here... if your looking around like I did... and considering DELVAL? Don't hesitate. Nothing bad to say about this office and this staff and team of Doctors! xox Melissa Pistilli

At my first well woman visit at this practice, the midwife caught that my thyroid felt enlarged, and sent me for blood work and an ultrasound. It turned out I'm hypothyroid, and thanks to the early detection, I was able to get on medication quickly. I've also been with this practice through two pregnancies. The first was low risk until I sadly went into preterm labor and delivered my daughter at 22 weeks. The second was high risk and involved many, many appointments, both with the OBs and with the MFM at the hospital. I've gotten to know all of the OBs who deliver babies at this practice (there are 8) and they all are fantastic. Dr. Balwani delivered my daughter, and while I didn't get a chance to see her in my pregnancy with my son, she saw me in the hospital after delivery. It was good to connect with her again in a situation that had a better ending than the first time. Dr. Grant held my hand through scary carrier screening results in my first pregnancy, and admitted me to the hospital in at 23 weeks my second pregnancy because she believed my concerns and took me seriously. Luckily, baby and I were fine. Then, she wrote a strongly worded letter to the insurance company when they tried to deny payment for my hospital stay. The insurance company paid up after that. Dr. Leedom was so kind and reassuring at all my appointments. In fact, I saw her for a concern I had in between the loss of my daughter and conceiving my son, and I was impressed with her bedside manner. She takes the time to answer all your questions and never rushes you. She explains everything thoroughly. Even though the answers aren't always what I want to hear, I appreciated her taking the time to explain things. Dr. Loeb happened to be on call the weekend I presented at the hospital, when it turned out I was in labor with my son. I was almost 35 weeks. I'd been iffy on him in my first pregnancy, so I hadn't seen him in my second. BUT, I have egg on my face now. Dr. Loeb ended up performing an emergency c-section when it became clear that my baby was in distress. I had minimal complications with recovery thanks to his skill. I and my husband thanked him multiple times for saving our baby, but Dr. Loeb is very humble and almost seemed embarrassed by our praise. If you end up needing a c-section, you want Dr. Loeb to do the surgery. Dr. Miranda is wonderful. She is incredibly personable and, like Dr. Leedom, takes her time and doesn't rush. I often ended up seeing her at the Bordentown office when I needed a last-minute appointment, as Lawrence is incredibly busy and rarely had same-day openings. I actually liked the Bordentown office a lot because it was so quiet! Dr. Przybylko performed my cervical cerclage surgery at 22 weeks in my second pregnancy. The cerclage held until I went into labor at almost 35 weeks (for reasons unrelated to the cerclage). I'm thankful for her skill which helped prolong my pregnancy, because without it, I'm convinced I would have lost my second pregnancy in the same manner as I lost my first. Dr. Stanell is utterly fantastic. He was the doctor who discharged me after my daughter was born. He ordered a lot of tests for me to help rule out causes for my loss. And, he ordered other tests in my second pregnancy and assured me that I wouldn't have to go past 39 weeks given my history. In fact, I had a scheduled induction with him, but I didn't make it that far! Dr. Tashjian is so kind and also wonderful. She believed me and my concerns and was so empathetic when I cried in the exam room. She made it possible for me to be seen at the MFM's office a day before my scheduled appointment. I ended up having my cerclage surgery done the next day. I know on certain corners of the internet, OBs get a bad rap and people prefer midwives. They think OBs are dismissive and uncaring and push c-sections because it's "more convenient" for them, but I don't think that's true at all. There are inevitable personality clashes, but at the end of the day, the OBs at this practice care about a healthy mom and a healthy baby. I plan on staying here for my well woman visits, and if I was to have another pregnancy, I would totally trust them with my care.
