Amazing prenatal massage with Becky As luck would have it I developed sciatica pain two days before my scheduled prenatal massage with Becky. When I arrived every step was causing shooting pains. Becky was wonderfully accommodating, listened to my concerns and walked me through how a prenatal massage would work. The facility was quiet and relaxing, and Becky told me that she can adjust anything (music, temperature, blankets, pillows for propping me up, pressure) to make me more comfortable. I enjoyed her sense of humor and professionalism. She put special attention to my painful sciatica region and I was finally able to walk out of my appointment pain free. This was hands down the best massage I've ever gotten. Syd was incredible. My body is full of knots and decades of built up stress from food industry work and heavy powerlifting workouts. But the amount of pressure on the deep tissue massage and trigger point work combined with the limb and joint movement made working thru my knots and sore spots so much better and manageable. I got a prenatal massage with Sparkles and it was fantastic! Best thing I did for myself during my trip to Austin. If you're pregnant and like me, you're looking for a place with an option to lay face down - this place has that option! They had a special pillow with spaces for both belly and bust. Sparkles was so kind and friendly. She made me feel so welcome and took time to listen to where my body was at and what it needed. She took care in the massage and worked on all the knots and tense spots I had. My husband went to Crystal - he said she was informative and had positive energy. As someone who's had massages for years and years, I thought I knew what deep tissue massage was. I did not - and I suspect you might not either until you have a massage delivered by Kinza. I won't lie - it wasn't a relaxing chill rubdown. It was occasionally painful and frequently uncomfortable. And it was incredibly therapeutic. Sore as I might be in a few spots the day after, the combination of deep pressure, physical manipulation, and cupping have me feeling fantastic. If you don't like deep pressure, steer clear of Kinza and see someone else at Mantis (not 'cause she "can't" do it, but it seems a waste of her skills!) I've been going to Mantis for some time now, approximately once/twice a month for the last year, and I've never had a bad experience. My masseuse (Kelsey) is an absolute rockstar. She always starts the session by chatting about how I feel, what I'm looking to get from the session, and making sure I'm totally comfortable. I have a number of recurring problems with my shoulders and hips, and she has been able to alleviate these issues noticeably. She's not afraid to apply force, but she's attentive to my body language and tension. I always leave feeling great. It's rare to have experiences that meet the needs of your mind, body, and soul. My partner and I scheduled deep tissue massages with Kinza and Dannie - they were out of this world. My partner is a former marine and Kinza worked his full body. She was very knowledgeable, asked thoughtful questions, and explained everything thoroughly. Can't recommend enough. The Airport location is close to where I live, it takes seconds to book, super-convenient, and they are extremely professional. All of the masseuses have been great (I've seen 4 or 5) although I'll normally book Sandra if she is available. Excellent experience from start to finish. Loved the ease of making my appointment online. From the minute I walked in, I was already feeling relaxed. The environment is beautifully orchestrated. I enjoyed a cup of hot tea and soaked in the serenity while waiting for my massage therapist. My massage was with Sydney. She was kind, warm and really listened to what I needed from the session. I would give 4 and 1/2 stars if I could. It was very good. It had been a very long time since I had a massage. My body is very stressed from old injuries and too much sitting at a computer. Dannie did a good job starting to go through my many knots and completely stuck fascia. She introduced me to cupping which I really enjoyed. There are only a couple of improvements I would suggest. One is that as a new client I would like to be told what is going to be done throughout the session. This is partly my fault as I should have asked for it. I don't like my back "popped" or "cracked" and I should have said so (even thought it was fine and actually felt good, it's more of a fear thing on my part). The best parts of the massage were fantastic. The only other odd thing was she had her dog with her the whole time. I love dogs and it was a good dog. I just thought it was odd I wasn't told ahead of time; what if I were allergic or fearful? I will see Dannie again. read more

I am going to be honest. Sometimes Mantis can be hit or miss depending on a variety of factors: 1) my mood 2) my expectations 3) my comfort level with the therapist 4) what i need to be worked on. Sometimes you have to try a few times before you find your groove. I have seen different therapists and found a few that just hit all the spots! But specifically I would whole heartedly recommend Taylor (airport location). I am selfish and don't want to share her, but she is too good to not shout about!!! I carry all my stress in my neck and my job makes me warp and twist my shoulder and hands. I started seeing Taylor once a week 30 min sessions, and what she can do in 30 min makes it feel like a 1 hour massage. The way she orchestrates a session with her magic hands, I have no doubt everyone will love her! If you communicate your needs, Taylor will make sure to get in those spots. I had a 90 minute pre-natal massage with Becca. At 34 weeks pregnant, I'm incredibly hesitant to break quarantine but my growing body was in desperate need of some TLC. I appreciated the cautious measures Mantis takes for clients and felt safe with required masks, handwashing, and it seemed like I was the only one in the office on a Sunday. WOW - Becca was amazing! I wish I'd been able to see her at earlier stages of my pregnancy. She was so sweet and accommodating, plus when I asked for deep pressure she went to just the perfect amount of firmness. I was so relaxed for our 90 minutes that I faded in and out of sleep while my muscles got an exceptional kneading. My husband even commented that I looked a few inches taller today. These folks are so wonderful. I've come back twice - both times for back pain issues. I saw Becky and Kelsey. They're both awesome - they have their own styles and both led to me feeling so much better. The vibe of Mantis is so nice. I know they advertise themselves as a no-frill massage studio, but I think its perfectly cool... essential oils, calming music, the works. It's also really nice that they offer so many different pricing options. I've been going in for 30-minute sessions.
