Close to downtown blue ash with plenty of free parking. I've seen two different masseuses and I can tell the differences in the quality of them verses other places. They just have more skill and attentiveness. Kathy is very good and I can tell has good experience. What an incredible experience! Yesterday, I decided to finally make an appointment for a massage. For the past few months, I had been feeling pain in my neck and back, to the point of opting out of necessary chores and fun activities. Then, my leg began to hurt, which was the last straw. I went online and was able to book an appointment right away. I opted for the 90 minute deep massage and my body is so thankful! Throughout the process, the masseur worked with oils, ice balls and heat to help relax my muscles. It was a relaxing experience and I will certainly return again. Today, I am able to walk without the significant limp I had developed. I am able to stretch my neck and arms with greater flexibility. Mantra Massage and BodywoRx is located in a small house in the middle of Blue Ash, directly off Kenwood Road. As you enter, there are water fountains flowing and relaxing tones. This is a pretty fantastic place to get a massage. I recently had a massage from Marla, one of the owners, and it was outstanding. I have a tendency to keep a decent amount of stress in my neck, shoulders, and upper back and she did an excellent job of addressing my issue areas. Marla also makes her own blends of essential oils and is very familiar with which are best to use with each client. The studio itself is very relaxing. The waiting room was comfortable, and the massage room was well equipped and comfortable. Mantra is also very involved in the community and not pushy at all when it comes to product sales. This is the only place I go for a massage and refer all my friends and family this place! I am a massage therapist myself and I am very picky who works on me. I get Rob all the time but hear great things about every one else. In Ohio, you HAVE to be Medically Licensed in Massage Therapy. rule of thumb, if you want to get a massage from anyone, ask them to see their license! I digress, the Employees ARE licensed and very knowledgable. I usually get Swedish massage with Rob. But if he finds a knot, he will use other techniques to relieve the muscle from the bad knot :-p. His Swedish massage is not at all a blah rub down. He is great and uses aromatherapy and warm bamboo stick sometimes. Their website is easy to use and have different types of services there. She was extremely thorough in gaining an understanding of my daily demands and stressors, in order to gauge what areas of my body needed the most attention. She was exceptionally knowledgeable and informative in preventive care and I really trusted her expertise. She consistently checked in with me in terms of adjusting pressure, which was important to me because different areas of my body were more tender than others. If you want serious body work done, this is the place to go. Their Rossiter method is the bomb. It's not one to ask for if you are looking for a purely relaxing massage (though I'm sure they would do a great job with those too). If you can stand a bit of pain for a few seconds, the release is wonderful. I went in with the makings of a migrane (which last for at least 3 days for me) and left with no pain. Marla went deep and I immediately started to feel stuff pop and shift. Two weeks later I went back & it just keeps getting better. on Saturday I had thrown out my back and was in so much pain. My husband had to take me to the ER because I was in so much pain and I could not even stand up without help and I still felt like I was going to fall and my legs wanted to give out on my. I am not one to go to the Dr. I have a very high pain tolerance. I think this pain was worse than child birth. I went to the Chiropractor. She tried to adjust me but the muscles were so tight that she didn't have any real success. The next day Rob worked on my back and I think I am in heaven. I went to the Chiropractor the next morning and she was amazed at the difference in my muscles and how they had loosened up and asked me what I had done. I told her about Rob working on me. Rob worked on me later that morning and I could actually move my back and walk without feeling like my knees were going to give out on me. I went back to the chiropractor and she was in awe of how much of a change in my walk, posture, lack of pain. She told me to continue going that he was doing wonders!!! I am not taking pain meds anymore. I feel like a new person. Thank you ROB!!!!!!!! I feel like a new woman.
