Being new in Ocala, I was researching gynecologists in my area when I came across Dr. Del Charco's practice. To be honest, I was hesitant about scheduling with a nurse practitioner, so I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Hopper instead. Since he had recently joined the practice and seemed to have more appointment availability than the other providers, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Looking back, I'm so glad I gave him a chance. He was thorough, professional, and attentive throughout the visit. He even took the time to ask whether I had any concerns that he hadn't already addressed, which I truly appreciated. Beyond my experience with Dr. Hopper, I was especially impressed that the practice has its own mammography equipment on site. For years, I've had to schedule a separate appointment at a diagnostic center and then wait for the results to be sent back to my gynecologist. Having everything handled in one location is incredibly convenient and a major plus for me. I was also grateful that they were able to fit me in for a mammogram at the last minute. Kelsey was friendly, accommodating, and made the entire process quick and comfortable. She kindly worked me in just before her lunch break, which I greatly appreciated. She easily could have asked me to wait (a whole hour) or rescheduled me for another day, but instead she went out of her way to help. From the physician to the support staff, everyone I encountered was professional, courteous, and genuinely caring. I cannot say enough great things about this office. I left feeling well cared for, and I would not hesitate to recommend this practice to others. read more

My wife had been admitted to the ER for early complications in her pregnancy. After calling everyday for over a WEEK she finally was able to be seen and an appointment was set. When going to her appointment I ,the supportive father/husband, was not allowed to go into the room with her under the excuse of COVID. In another words they don't value family values and they don't want my involvement with my child. STAY FAR AWAY from this place. The negative reviews are all true. 9-16-22. After trying to strong arm me into deleting this review, they called my wife 3hrs after they closed to say they are canceling her visit for 9-19-22. They also sent her a certified letter saying they will not see her anymore. read more

I asked his secretary if he treated my disease and she said yes. The doctor was knowledgeable about the disease. He told me that he would treat me. When I called to ask for a treatment, I was referred out to another doctor. He has NO values...don't waste your time with this doctor. read more

I can't speak of Dr Delcharco himself as a person or doctor. I have only dealt with Britney and she was nice. My problem is with HIS office, especially his billing department. I am still being billed for something that I paid for (in full) back in October of 2017. I even have the transaction reference number that I was given. When I called to get everything rectified they were unwilling to work with me and told me that I would just have to pay it again. They were even vulgar with me and hung up twice when I started to defend myself. read more

We went to want appointment (never met the doctor). We were the first people to arrive when the opened at 8:30am, and we were not seen until 11:00am. They had us full out a lot of paperwork that we repeated to them once the midwife saw us. She was not understanding of my wife discomfort with the Pap smear and other checks. I also had a very rude experience with their financial staff. Since I had insurance, they wanted to charge me more cash than someone without, but because I had to pay out of pocket (high deductible), they wanted it paid by the same deadline as someone without insurance. When I pointed out the double minded approach that was not in my favor, she was very rude about it, and made me feel bad for even pointing it out. We are going to a different practice now. read more

I went for my first visit with Dr Delcharco yesterday. I am 7 weeks pregnant and if this is my first impression of what I could look forward to over the rest of pregnancy I made the right decision in walking out. 1. I was told to come half an hour early to complete my paperwork. I and my husband signed in and waiting 15 minutes until we acknowledged. There went 1/2 the time needed for paperwork. Ok, it was 12:45 perhaps staff was on lunch I was willing to let that slide. But... 2. After finally being acknowledged I asked if I could use the bathroom. They gave me a cup to pee in and said when I was done put it in the hatch in the bathroom. When I did that I found it full of 3 other OPEN cups of pee sitting there which as we had been the only ones in the waiting room had at least be 30 minutes old by then. EEEW how unsanitary. Thinking ok rocky start maybe it will get better. But .. 3. They state my paperwork is incomplete i had not filled out the delivery date, birth weights etc of my previous pregnancies in the table provided. HELLO look at the gestational age both ended in a miscarriage. Thanks for reminding me. We finally get called into a consulting room with a billing clerk, maybe just maybe this is going to get better. But.. 4. She decides the debate with my due date and when I state I am pregnant through IVF she asks what that is. REALLY you work in an OB office for heavens sake. Time to leave, as if it was that simple. 5. I ask the desk back for my details that I had provided in the numerous customary medical forms as I was not going to be a patient there and they had no need for them. That took another 20 minutes I guess while they tried to decide if they were going to give them to me. At that point it felt like I was at a car dealer and they had my car keys. I chose this provider because of the expertise in Urogynecology, a bit harder to find these days.I have had the opportunity to meet with both Meghan and Dr. DelCharco; at all three visits, the office staff were welcoming and efficient. Time spent in the waiting area was appropriate, and both care givers were on schedule! Appointments are readily available. My most recent visit with Dr. DelCharco resulted in me having to choose between two procedures; while I knew which one I personally preferred, I was able to meet with a staff person that presented me with information from my insurance company regarding what would be covered for each procedure, allowing me to make my choice prior to leaving the office that day!
