We did leis for everyone, a masculine green lei for the groom and white flowers for my bouquet 4. Leading up to the wedding, Maui had one of the biggest Kona low's the island had ever seen and two days before we redesigned the wedding to bring it inside. She had great ideas on upgrades, checked that the additions were cohesive, and made sure we didn't lose out on much. In addition, on the day of if something wasn't going completely to plan me and my husband had no idea. Her team managed the day of with the highest level of professionalism. It was a great decision. The wedding and reception were outside, at the oceanfront with waves crashing in the background, late afternoon into evening. The food was fabulous. I'll let the menu speak for itself: Passed appetizers: - Strawberry and pineapple skewers - Coconut shrimp with marmalade - Brie and mushroom in pastry cup with mango chutney - Kalua pork pot stickers with BBQ sauce - plus a terrific sushi and sashimi bar. Dinner stations: - "Island Favorites Buffet." Kalbi ribs, macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi with passionfruit beurre blanc, wasabi potato casserole, and sugar snap peas with sesame and ginger. - "Carving Station and Salads." Sirloin of beef and pork loin, with mint jelly, Maui Gold pineapple chutney, and horseradish sauce. Hawaiian sweet bread rolls. Upcountry baby Romaine with Kula corn, dried mango, toasted macadamia nuts, and citrus vinaigrette. Marinated Kamuela tomatoes, shaved Maui onions, and Surfin Goat dairy cheese crumble. - "Stir Fry Station." Beef, shrimp, scallops, chicken, tofu, an assortment of vegetables, Soba noodles, penne pasta, jasmine rice, ginger garlic sauce, lemongrass sauce and spicy coconut sauce. - And the shusi/sashimi bar continued through dinner. Dessert was Chef Gannon's famous individual pineapple upside down cakes with vanilla ice cream (with bowls of berries for those that couldn't do the dairy/gluten issue). This seemed fair and normal. However, when we tried to arrange a follow-up meeting, Kara refused to meet with just my husband and me. She insisted on including her entire team in the feedback session. We felt it would be more appropriate and comfortable to provide our feedback directly to her, with the understanding that she could then relay it to her team. During numerous email discussions, Kara made excuses for every issue we raised and essentially blamed us for the shortcomings of our wedding planner. Because of that, I cannot recommend Aloha Wedding Planning Services. Although Veronica, our planner, was lovely and personable, the service we received on our wedding day did not reflect a 5-star experience. Given that we paid $4,000, I expected much higher quality. If the cost had been lower, I can confidently say I would not have been as upset by the small details that didn't go perfectly.

We are incredibly disappointed in the services we received from Brittany and her lack of communication during the wedding planning process. First, our reception decor--tent and seat drapery--was supposed to be the color of a dusty rose, as indicated by our vendor contract. However, on the wedding day, we noticed that none of the drapery was dusty rose, and the seat drapings were a bright red/fushcia blend. We spoke to Brittany Throne, a month before our wedding date to align on the decor details. Brittany confirmed that they would have enough dusty rose drapery as needed for our wedding. However, on the day of the wedding, we noticed that our drapery was three different colors, none of which were matching with each other (red, candy pink, and another variation of pink)--and none being a dusty rose except the table napkins. What is most disappointing is that my husband and I were not alerted in any way that the drapery colors would be different than what we signed the contract for. I noticed the drapery color mistakes as I was walking down the aisle. If Brittany had done the courtesy to alert us that the colors would be different once she received the shipment, we would have worked to find another solution before our wedding day. The mistakes also included the brown wooden bar, which was supposed to be white. She ended up providing a small discount on the drapery since she made the mistake. However, this doesn't fix the problem as our pictures and wedding video will always reflect the wedding drapery mistakes that Brittany failed to inform us of and work with us to resolve. Attached is a photo of the drapery from our wedding as none of the drapery reflects the dusty rose color as stated on our contract.
