The xray was completed and results given instantly. No obstruction, thank heavens. Antiemetic injection was administered and meds to take home were filled on site. Pricing was extremely reasonable. Within 10 min of getting home my girl was already eating for the first time in days. I can't recommend this place enough. Blessed to have this place so close to home for my babies. I now drive about 30 mins to Shadow Creek. I'm always seen in a timely manner & the drs & staff are great. My furbaby has had 2 surgeries performed here & they both went well. I was kept well informed before & after surgery. She also gets all of her exams & shots here. My only complaint is that they're a little pricey, however I keep going back because of the great service & no wait time for your appt.

My veterinarian recommended Pearland 288 Animal Emergency Clinic. Everything was being facilitated through my veterinarian's office. When I arrived with my dog, Eva ripped me a new one up one side and down the other. Quote- Unquote per Eva: "We do not take care of animals that need 24/7 care." "We do not take care of animals with these kind of medical issues." Let me state the obvious for Eva! The sign for Pearland 288 Animal Emergency Clinic is; "24/7" Yes, I went unhinged at Eva for her unprofessionalism and disrespectful yelling at an owner with a sick dog. Although, it was 4th of July weekend, I knew in my heart, that if it was meant to be, I needed to let my dog pass away at home with dignity, respect, compassion, and love. I was literally walking out the door with my dog to go home. All of a sudden Eva stopped me from leaving and she had a different attitude and the paperwork was in order. I put down a $8,500 deposit for four days which also included a 2% credit card fee. SCAM ARTISTS!!! I found zero comfort in the updated phone calls every morning around 7am. Dr. Coffey did not have the professionalism to call the veterinarian who performed the ultrasound on my dog and request the imaging and report. That is called being; "Unprofessional and Lazy" How could Dr. Coffey properly perform her job without the ultrasound imaging and report? Dr. Linton, owner, spoke to me like she was a robot. All I heard from Dr. Linton was; "BLAH, BLAH, BLAH" Dr. Hardegree was Mr. Hooray "Rah, Rah, Rah" cheerleader who was truly trying to make me believe my dog did an immediate health turnaround and was coming home. He literally told me the diagnostic tests showed great improvement. (enzymes, counts, and values were all improving) Yes, my dog had a long road to full recovery but Dr. Hardegree saw no reason why my dog couldn't and wouldn't recover and live a full healthy life. I explained this in detail to my veterinarian regarding Dr. Hardegree's new diagnosis. I heard nothing on the other end of the phone - pure silence, which told me that Dr. Hardegree was full of it and giving me false hope. Basically, Dr. Hardegree bold faced lied to me. My veterinarian was in dismay regarding Dr. Hardegree's diagnosis. I told my veterinarian to examine my dog and call me back immediately because I am picking up my dog tonight. He called me back and said; "Your dog is not improving. How long will it take you to get here?" I picked up my dog about a half hour later. The total cost was just under $10,000 including a plethora of medications to take home. Less than 12 hours later my dog passed away at home. Although, my heart is completely shattered, I have comfort in knowing that my dog passed away in my arms. My dog was not in pain or suffering but passed away with total dignity, respect, compassion, and love. After telling this story, let me state very clearly and concisely that I know how I was treated by the staff which was beyond unprofessional, disrespectful, disgraceful, and utterly appalling. I damn well know that my dog, a helpless sick animal, was treated even worse. Although, I listened to the professional advise of my veterinarian and I do believe that my veterinarian was truly looking out for the best interest of my dog. I knew in my heart it was a grievous mistake leaving my dog at Pearland 288 Animal Emergency Clinic and I now have to live with that mistake. Given the nature of my concerns, it should have been made clear beforehand what the mobile clinic was capable of handling. Unfortunately, this didn't happen. When the team arrived, they essentially performed basic checks like taking my dog's temperature and pulse--things I could have done myself, and actually I did take her temp for them because she was uneasy having them do it--and charged me $168. Despite their visit, I am still extremely worried about my dog's condition. Because they did not diagnose, or treat. Just gave a list of worst possible scenarios all involving surgery or quite obviously death. The vet immediately suggested that my dog would likely need to go to a clinic equipped with X-rays, which could have been communicated over the phone, saving both time and money. Instead, I am now waiting on Christmas Eve for an urgent care clinic to open, praying that none of the frightening possibilities the vet listed turn out to be true. While the vet was polite, it was frustrating that he seemed to assume my dog's care would require another facility before even examining her thoroughly.And given that he was able to determine this based on my description, why was this not determined before confirming my appointment and taking my money. This lack of preparation and failure to set clear expectations over the phone made an already stressful situation much worse. Recently we had to make the heartbreaking decision to put our sweet dog, Baylee, to sleep. It was one of the hardest moments our family has gone through, but the staff treated us with such empathy, patience, and dignity throughout the entire process. They made sure Baylee was comfortable and that we had the time and space we needed to say goodbye. A few days later, we received a beautiful sympathy card from the clinic. That thoughtful gesture meant so much to us and showed just how deeply they care about their clients and their pets. We are incredibly grateful for the love and compassion they showed Baylee and our family. This team is truly special, and we are thankful to have such wonderful people caring for our pets.

They basically were kinda dry, but I did find the assistant the vet was with very kind. Long curly hair. Very sweet woman. My main qualm was that I was quoted upwards of 4k$ in surgeries. I was a bit gob smacked at the price. I then went to another vet, Clay Road Animal Clinic (a place known for being fair and realistic) and was quoted $550 for the same surgery, and they explained in detail what could be expected. My dog also generally enjoyed their presence more, which I do take into account. They also took more steps to know about what was going on internally, suggesting x-rays, which was very affordable in comparison to elsewhere. While at this Alvin clinic it was more so like a shrugging their shoulders reaction, like what do ya want me to do about it from here. This vet isn't bad by any means, but just not for me. Too expensive for at best average care. And in daunting situations, while of course they are more than willing and upfront to work within your price range, sometimes things are scary and people don't know the next steps and need these things more broken down for them. All I left with after this vet was a printed out information google webpage, and an attempt to upsell (in my opinion) on vaccines. Like I said, just not for me.

I looked online, found Thrive and got a same day, within hours appt. When they saw my fur baby, they were able to do in house bloodwork and treat her without a problem and she was SO much better by the very next day. They also called to check on her and were very informative about what was going on. I really appreciate they are so close and so affordable!! A $350 total with them would easily have been $700 or more in the ER. I'll definitely use them again for my dogs. ISSAGO!!
