They are backed up you need 2 outstanding appts at all times else you will waste your 2 cleanings per year. Staff here are decent. The location is clean and well maintained.

He provides superlative care, but it is his personalization that stands out. He always recalls past visits, asks about the family and strives to find excellent cost effective solutions to dental issues best for the patient. He truly cares about his patients and takes the time to explain exactly what the procedure is he is about to do. Dr. Wong constantly asks about your comfort while he is working. Fast forward now to a few weeks ago. While out walking, I tripped on raised concrete which resulted in me taking a terrible fall, "face planting" my head on the sidewalk. Besides other injuries from the fall, I had a loose traumatized upper front tooth. I sought out Dr. Wong's professional diagnosis to save my tooth. A root canal was advised and he drilled VERY accurately into the tooth to remove the damaged nerves and remove any bleeding, thus saving my tooth and the color of the tooth! I can't thank him enough for his immediate action and expertise! Dr. Fu Wong is truly a specialist in the Dental Field and a very caring man!

The clinic has two dentists, four hygienists, and a couple front desk staff. The office is located in an office park building in Maple Grove. The waiting room is so welcoming. It's tastefully decorated for kids. Cartoons on the TV, free Pac-Man arcade game, lots of books, and magazine for the adults. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. The exam space is great, too. It's an open-air concept with benches and art for privacy rather than walls or exam rooms. My favorite part of our visit was the staff. As someone who despises trips to the dentist myself, I have put off my son's first visit for years. At 4.5, I worried that he would be scared and non-compliant. But our hygienist made him feel very comfortable. I appreciated that she showed him the chair and let him try each of the tools before using them. The cleaning was very gentle. She took breaks as often as he asked. After he picked out a prize and got a sticker for being cavity-free, we saw the dentist (Dr. Borodkin). She reviewed his chart and took the time to review his X-rays in detail. I was worried that she would scold me for waiting so long to bring him in. Not at all! She was informative and supportive, not judgmental. We left with a 'swag' bag - toothbrush, paste, a water bottle, a really nifty flosser, and a save the date for our next appointment. As an adult with dentist anxiety, I had MUCH delayed taking my kids and both had cavities... what I had dreaded (and expected). However, the way the staff and Dr. Venetia helped make them feel comfortable and calm (and informed about what's happening every step of the way) was nothing short of miraculous. No tears. No pain. I recently called to get my son scheduled for some cavities while he is home for the holidays. I asked what he needed, and they replied "you should ask him"...really? Then was told that the same doctor (from his exam a year and a half ago) has to complete the services, otherwise he would need a new exam, x-rays, etc. Wow...seems like any doctor should be able to look and see what needs to be done??? Unfortunately, that doctors' schedule is full for a while...we'll need to find another dental provider who has a bit more flexibility. Cleanings are also booked out so many months...thinking perhaps they shouldn't accept any NEW customers until they are caught up and can take care of their current ones.

My sister and her husband go to this location and when I was looking for a place they recommended Grove Health Dental. Pleasant staff, clean, and state of the art tech. First visit was a cleaning with a filling. (The filling being the only reason for me to go. I hadn't been for about 8 years) Everything was normal. I would say that I was happy. If you asked where to go I'd mention where I go. No biggy. It wasn't until my second visit recently that it became impressive. I get a notification of my appointment on my phone. Awesome. You ever forget? Happened to me once, so it's nice to have that backup. They have my same insurance, and everything is preprinted and ready to go. Filled out and copied from my last visit, they tell me, "Go over it and if anything has changed please mark it, if not, sign at the bottom". I'm thinking "Thank god I don't have to do this all again. What a smart and efficient way to go about it. I get my cleaning and I ask about my old orthodontic work and if the small damage to my teeth (A result of poor brushing as a kid) could be dealt with. I had HSA money to burn and It is something I've always felt self conscious about. He tells me about a non-invasive method to remove or minimize the visible damage to my teeth. I'm interested and they have time to do it right there (AWESOME saving time). Ultraviolet light guns, dental dams, chemical compounds, and tools later I have a happier smile. SO right before he finishes is what I feel is the most important part of the story for anyone choosing their Dentist office. They are basically done and compare the before pictures with what they have now. The assistant and him are in discussion of the improvement and I notice he is half listening and agreeing as he changes his view, moving his head from one side to another to get different angles of the work, I can see he is dissatisfied and tells me he's going to go over it AGAIN. It's that kind of workmanship and pride that separates your good from your great. I look for details like that whenever I make decisions concerning people and places. I know not everyone's experience is the same, but if you're looking for a place to start a lifelong relationship, start with this place.
