Not a very nice buffet place to go yo, to be honest. Actually disappointing. The good: Sushi, although very small, was fresh. The bad: Takes 15 minutes for a waitress to come over and take our drinks order. VERY limited choice of food for a " buffet ". Actually, not much to eat. Filled with old age people as customers (you get the idea, it's an old people's place). Rest of the food is not very good. Honestly. Avoid. read more

Mrs wanted Italian I wanted Chinese. Both nearby. We. Otha got what we wanted and took food to the hotel we were staying for dinner. Quite busy for a weekday and quite busy at the food counter, people picking up food. We were attended quickly. Saw the menu and did not have any vegetarian dishes, however I was shown the menu that is on their computer had many more. Quickly ordered a Spicy Tofu and Mixed Vegetables and a Vegetable Fried Rice with no eggs. The hostess was so amazing. Offered us water and comfortable spots to sit and kept us updating on order status. The Tofu and Vegetables was good, but spiciness wasn't completely there. Lots of whole red chillies but did not release the flavour. The rice a bit dry, but less on seasonings. Did not have too high expectations and I think was slightly better. read more

The 7-day Tour East Bus trip that I'm traveling on stopped here; we have 50 tourists in our group. It's a meal stop so only a quickie review. The $325 meal plan includes 6 lunches and 6 dinners of which this restaurant is one of the venues. The last time I was at this Edmundston restaurant was 2 years ago. Prepare for great buffet items. I focused on the shelled shrimps, sushi, and won ton soup but sampled most items. Delicious! Server staff were friendly, quick to provide drinks and remove plates when done. Went here on a Wednesday night; got there shortly after 7pm. While I was seated immediately it took over 10 minutes for one of the waitresses(they had about 6) to decide to take my table and ask for a drink order. The food selection is very limited for a buffet style restaurant and the whole time I was there they did not once bring out more food; at $ CAD 17.95 a bit steep for the selection and rather poor service. The Maple Leaf Buffet in Moncton is much much better with greater selections and good service. read more

Very nice restaurant. Very clean and friendly. You can order from a menu or have buffet. The menu has Canadian Dishes on it. The buffet is really large and has a wide variety of food items, similar to The Mandarin in Ontario. We happened upon the restaurant last year, and were happy to see it still there this year. read more

We had a large party of 15, and they had a table ready for us at our reservation time. They laid out fresh dinner food as we were arriving, knowing we all would probably have the buffet. The service was excellent, the waitress came by regularly to make sure our table was satisfied and the plates were cleared. As for the food, it was good for a buffet but not excellent. There were some dishes that were cold and others that were luke-warm, but had they been hot, I'm sure they would have been good. There was a nice selection including some non-Chinese options for picky eaters. It was a good one-time place with our large party, not sure we would go back, but we aren't big fans of Chinese food to begin with. read more

I've been to this Maple Leaf location (there's another in Clair) a few times over the last couple of years when I visit my parents. This place is pretty big, plenty of seats, plenty of parking in back, and never a line to get in. The buffet has a decent selection of Chinese and non-Chinese options. They even have sushi. In any case, the food is pretty good, they seem to rotate in food pretty often. Had a couple of drinks and they had some kick to them. Nice. The food was good enough. Wonton soup noodles are not good. But the fried wonton was realy great. Big plates.

Two years ago we were passing through Edmundson and staying at a local hotel...this place was recommended so I got takeout for my wife and I. It was surprisingly good and all was well. So this year we did the same thing and boy, has something changed!!! We ordered exactly the same food, I picked it up and brought it back to the hotel (2 minutes) and neither of us could eat any of it. The fried rice had no vegetables in it even though it was a veg fried rice and has as much soy sauce as rice! The beef & broccoli had literally 5skimpy pieces of extremely tough beef, overcooked broccoli and was so soaked with "sauce " it was too unpleasant to contemplate eating. Needless to say we won't be ordering again on our next trip through. read more
