I have been here several times recently ranging from normal visits to Christmas Eve. Everything was delicious every time I've been here. The buffet is wonderful and à la carte is fast and hot. At the buffet I usually get stir fried string beans and salt and pepper chicken with a side of beef fried rice. The salt and pepper chicken and the string beans are loaded with umami. I have also tried General Tsos chicken à la carte, since they usually don't have it on buffet, it was the best I think I've ever had. The service is hard working but sometimes when the restaurant is fully seated it may be a bit slow. Though I've only seen that on Christmas Eve. The ambience is better when the bar is closed but more or less what you'd expect from a busy Chinese restaurant. read more

Pretty solid run of the mill Americanized Chinese food. Great for delivery. You get a LOT of food for the price, and it's very tasty. Their sweet and sour sauce is the best, we legit get some to go when we head back home. I wanted to give 2.5 stars, because while the food is great, the service unfortunately is not. I settled on 2 since both times I've been here the service has been poor. Most recently, when I called the other day for takeout, I asked what was in the Szechuan lo mein (since it didn't have a description online). I said "with the Szechuan lo mein, what are the protein options for that? There's no description online so I was just wondering what comes in it." Guy taking my order: "there's meat, yeah." Me: "do you know what kind of meat?" Guy: "no." Then he legit just doesn't say anything else. No, oh I'll check, or anything. Just nothing. So I'm sitting there silent like WHUT. Me: "do you think maybe you could find out please?" Guy: "okay." The whole exchange was just so weird. I would have thought there'd be a little more knowledge and effort on his part, not expecting a lot, but nope. Zero effort. The other time we ate inside, about a year ago, and it took about a half hour just to get our drinks (there were only 2 of us, and maybe 5 or 6 tables total, with someone behind the bar and 2 servers). They were moderately and appropriately busy, with adequate help. Our waitress went outside frequently for smoke breaks, making it hard to enjoy our dinner out. My bf smoked at the time, and went outside for a smoke at one point while we were waiting to be served and found her sitting with some other people. I know people are allowed breaks, obviously, but this was so much more than that, she went out several times, and really didn't seem to care about our table at all. Just very inattentive and flippant with us. It was a different story with the larger tables of locals though. It was enough to deter me from wanting to eat inside again. So, in closing, yes the food is good, great quality and quantity. Service needs a little reworking. I'll keep getting takeout, but likely won't eat inside again. read more

I got food to go recently. I've actually only had food to go now that I think about it. I've always been pleased with quality and value. It's not the best Chinese I ever had, but it's decent. Parking isn't convenient for take out unless you enjoy the risk of parallel parking on Main St. If you park behind the store, you risk getting towed. Those parking spots are for the upstairs apartments, not for the restaurant. Parallel Park(!) on Main or use the public parking a very short walk away behind the strip. read more

Well, we tried to go to another Chinese place after they confirmed they make something they don't actually make. This place did. I'm not a vegetarian but enjoy tofu over chicken in Chinese food. My order was general tso tofu with extra veggies. Instead of just extra veggies added, I got a full order of veggies with more tofu. Needless to say, I was fine with that. It was like having two meals, and speaking of the meals, the portions were large. I was able to portion out a fraction of each dish and have substantially enough left. My husband, who is very picky with general tso chicken, seemed to enjoy his meal enough. He wasn't raving but was content. It was all a bit pricey, but it was good enough, can't rave but can't complain either. read more

The food is subpar. The service is okay depending on the time of day. The ambiance is alright, outdated but okay. There was a bug in my food and the waitress was amazing about the solution and even took it off the tab until the lady at the counter came and took my card and charged me the full amount without notifying prior to charging me for all three meals. I was informed that due to the incident I wasn't going to charged for the one meal which $11 isn't going to make or break the bank but don't say you're not going to charge and then charge me and try to pin it on the waitress and say it's her fault why I was charged. This place has its up and downs but this night was definitely out of pocket. Stopped by late one evening when everything else was closed. I had some reservations due to previous reviews but was ravenous so I took a chance. I couldn't find a menu online so I stopped by and placed an order. The prices can't be beat, very cheap and large portions. The selections were not what I am accustomed to, such as orange beef or lemon chicken. I asked a bunch of questions to the young man behind he counter who was very polite but rather clueless about the menu. The service while I waited was good, the two gentleman working were very friendly and quite entertaining as I waited for me food I ordered general tso chicken, which to my surprise came with a side of white rice. I also ordered a dinner combination plate with orange beef, egg roll, teriyaki chicken and fried. The teriyaki chicken was dry and flavorless. The egg roll was chewy but had good flavor. The fried rice was very good. And of course I had an order of crab Rangoons, which were ok, crispy outside with smooth filling. Nothing about the food was awful but it was far from great Chinese food. It filled my belly. read more

Today I had the worst Chinese buffet I ever ate. The food beside being tasteless, was cold, the chickens wings had been fried over and over. I could write more negative about the rest of the food but it is not wort it. Please just save your money, even that their prices were affordable. DO NOT EAT HERE. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Food was dried up from being there for hours, the waiter told us that it was sitting there since 4 it was 8 when we showed up. Everything tasted like fish even the pork soup and the chicken dishes. The owner made is pay FULL price even though we didn't even but a few bites. The waiter was an asshole. The food off the menu is good, but it can be better. I've never had an issue with any order, either while dining in or carry out. I haven't tried the delivery because I live in Mapleton. The buffet is hit and miss. Go when it's busy, right about noon-12:30pm because they have to constantly replenish it. What I hate is they only turn the heat up on the steam table right before lunch then turn it off around 1:00pm. Dinner is the same, go between 5:30pm and 6:30pm. If you eat of the buffet at any other time, you're SOL. The REAL downfall is the service. It's never consistent. More often than not, it's unacceptable for table service. Not being sexist, but the female servers are pathetically slow and act like they'd rather strip the wax off of the sticky floor with their bare hands than wait on you. When they're not gracing you with their presence, they're on their phones, reading, eating, yelling at the kids who apparently are the children of the manager (and who also run around the place like they own it, bumping into customers and being very loud), yapping with co-workers and friends who come in, and pretending to be busy watching the paint dry. Then when you don't tip them well, they give you dirty looks and make snide comments to each other. If they happen to remember you from your last visit, the service is even worse. There was a guy who was right on things and always friendly. I haven't seen him in a few weeks, so he may have either been chased off by the women or he got smart and moved on. The only time I've seen the food AND service consistently good is when the building landlord comes in. One night he was there with another woman and her boyfriend talking business, and they had 2 servers all over them, and they got their food before we did, and we'd been there 10 minutes before they arrived. Their portions were also much bigger. IMHO, you're taking your life into your hands here. How they manage to stay open is beyond me. Who knows, maybe it's the location. If the owner sank good money into the place by cleaning it up, training the cooks well, and getting better servers, the place would be the best in the state. read more

Well based on the reviews I was a little concerned about ordering food. After 9 pm on a Tuesday I had no other option so I did. I ordered ( to go) general chicken , fried rice and boneless spare ribs. To my surprise is was pretty good. Back home I usually have Chinese food at least once a month and this really tasted pretty good in comparison to what I am use to. Lot of locals at the bar, you get a good drink for money. You can get a great meal here if you stick to the core of the menu. We got a scrumptious egg foo young, but were less impressed with a mooshi. And where else can you find a cozy bar that is straight out of the 1960's? This is a classic Presque Isle institution, so enjoy the local ambience as well. read more

The service is meh. The buffet seems like a hit or miss cause the food is either cold or non existent. The dessert bar with the jello is prob my fav. Don't bother getting a drink at the bar with friends. The serrvice is piss poor with bartenders that are bitchy and cater to the regulars first. Also very rude, had a get together with a bunch of us spent 80.00 in drinks and an appetizer, only to have my drinks made horrible and the food cold. Asked for a new drink, and got told that it's how it's supposed to taste and that I don't know my drinks. Then to be called an effing b***ch when I didn't leave a tip for the poor service. Also called called our lot a bunch of a*****es when we left from the bar I might add. Didn't go back for quite some time and when we did we got served last even though we were at the bar first and our friend got called a b. Nevertheless I'm done with this place.
