Only rating for the mini-golf course. The baseball and soccer facilities seem nice. The golf was sort of boring and not well kept up. We were there at the end of May, so perhaps they were not ready for the season. It served the purpose of quick entertainment, but if your kids are big fans of mini-golf, I would not recommend this 'course'. read more

For such a nice facility, the administration is just awful. My team willingly traveled 85 miles to play and they gave us early games on Friday, and late games on Saturday, followed by only 5 of 15 teams advanced for playoffs on Sunday (with 2/3 of the teams playing a consolation game). Had they given us a late game on Friday and early game on Saturday we could justify getting a hotel. But other "local" teams traveling half our distance got 2 games on Saturday. And the amount of consolation games for a tournament that costs a lot more than others where 8-9 teams are in the playoffs. But the real worst is they don't share team rosters, claiming privacy issues, while USABL, PG, ASBA, Ripken and Cooperstown all share them. There were clearly players older than allowed but we had no way of verifying if the players in the lineup were on the roster. I could have shown up with a kid 2 years older and no one could have proved he was not of age. One coach even let is slip that one of his guys was in HS, yet competing 13u. He wasn't Doogie Howser. MSI claimed they verified the rosters, but if no one is verifying the lineups (like PG does) to confirm accuracy to the roster it makes you wonder why. Definitely felt like some home town cooking at that place. Will never go back! read more

This complex is a joke! They charge $10 per adult per day to enter the facility. The absolute worst umps in all of baseball, when they want the game to be over they just start making calls the end the game. Disgusting bathrooms, over priced concession and dangerous to watch games due to no netting. Save your time and money and skip MSI!! I wish I could give it zero stars read more

This place is such a joke, They charged $13 per adult (not car) when you arrive in the parking lot. They call this "admission". That's just for the day, you can opt to pay for the weekend for more. At the very least you'd expect a decent and clean facility based on that. The bathroom was disgusting, the hand dryers didn't work and no paper towels. Then while watching the game, you constantly have to dodge balls because they choose not to put netting over the area between the 2 fields, the only place to watch the games. This "admission" is on top of the tournament fee teams have already paid. The concession stand was closed as well. read more

This place charges $10 PER adult per day to get into a tournament you already paid for to watch your child play. So if your kid has a game Saturday and Sunday and mom and dad both want to go watch well that'll be $40. Not a lot of room for spectators Snack stand may or may not be open so don't come hungry. Better tournament facilities out there I'd say find somewhere else. read more

For the sports fields charging $10 per adult to attend your kids games is ridiculous. And the snack stand isn't even open for Friday night games, which is just awesome when you have a double header. It is terrible that you pay all that money for your kid to play travel ball and the website says it cost $5 for you to watch but when you get there it is $10. You take your 90 yr old mom to the games and it ends up costing you $40 for the 2 days. They should have a discount for seniors. Now let's talk about field D. Baseball etiquette you do not sit on the opposing team's side. Not cool when you have to sit between the other teams parents and listen to them. read more

What a complete waste of a drive & time coming here! Came to hit balls in the batting cages. There was ONE (unmotivated or friendly) employee, & about 75 people trying to hit balls. The machines would jam up every 2 minutes... No balls for anyone to hit, THE employee was preoccupied tending to lessons... Dads were running out themselves to the jammed up baseballs to try to fix things, but wasn't working. Could be an awesome place, but nobody here seems to care! read more

Review of outdoor baseball facility. First, they charge $5 a person to watch a tournament that as a team we had to pay to enter. The 11U fields were about a quarter mile walk from the entrance and there are no bathrooms or even port a potty's down by the fields which means the boys are relieving themselves in the woods (lovely) and the girls/women have to walk back up that 1/4 mile. The layout of the fields is like being in a war zone. Fouls balls being hit back and forth between the games going on simultaneously. Snack shack boasts a wide variety of items but only about half of those items are actually in stock. Being turf fields they will almost never call a game resulting in dangerous conditions with kids sliding all over and bats slipping out of hands. Not impressed at all! read more

The most unorganized sports institute I have ever had to deal with. Once you pay your money, getting a call back over any concerns is impossible. They outdoor facility is nice, but overpriced for what you get. We had our fall cut short and didn't get everything we were promised. read more

Beware, there is shady business going on here. The Road Warriors claimed they were going to run a Box Lacrosse League here. There was a $35 charge for the evaluation and practice to make the team. Eventually, they decided the team could not be created, they refunded the $325 fee for the league, but would not refund the $35 because they claim that was for the evaluation. The evaluation was to make the team, if there's no team how can one justify charging for the evaluation? So they basically just ripped off all the parents at $35 a pop. read more

Tournament review only. Facility charges $5 per person per day. Umpires are terrible and inconsistent. View to the fields are impeded from every angle. Our game started half hour late and the umpires ended our game a half hour early because they did not track the start game. Ended our tournament without allowing us the chance to advance. Funny because we were playing the MSI home. Tournament director blamed our team for not writing down the game start time. That's the umpires job. Mind you we had start time from parents filming their child at first bat. Terrible organization and facility. read more

Review of outdoor baseball facility and baseball tournaments. Do yourself - and your team - a favor, and do not play in the MSI tournaments. They are very poorly managed. We have played in several tournaments with several different teams. Each time, we hope the experience will be better, but it continues to disappoint. The fields are beautiful and it is a shame that this group cannot get their act together. The umpires are late to games (including the first game of the day) and they do not know the rules of the tournament. I tried to speak with management about it but the man I spoke with would not listen. Instead, he became belligerent and argumentative telling me he thinks they do a good job. How can you expect to do "a good job" if you are not willing to listen to your paying customers? He had an extremely arrogant attitude and did not care to listen to constructive criticism. Again the facility itself is very nice although they could use a bathroom or port-a-potty closer to the fields. The snack stand has a good amount of choices but it is not managed well at all. The kids that work there are not trained well - I do not blame the kids as they are just that... kids. They quite often are not prepared and the stand seems to be poorly stocked. They even ran out of bottles of water during a tournament (mid-way through the day), and made no attempt to purchase more water from a local store. As much as we love the turf fields, our team will not be competing in any more MSI tournaments. read more

A nice facility, but questionable management and ethical business practices. My son signed up for a summer team, and after only one tournament of 3, he was offered to do volunteer work in El Salvadore as well as participate on a full scholarship to a summer camp at a great university. I inquired for a partial refund of the $1500 we paid, and got nothing - no money back, and no response to several months of inquiry. This is a review of the tournaments. More accurately, the quality of the umpires. I've been to 12 game so far this year and the home plate umps in all were awful. The strike zone for a 17-18 year old game should not include pitches in the batters boxes. The strike zone is seriously from inside your batters box to inside the opposite one. This isn't little league. These are supposed to be "showcase" wooden bat tournaments for very good high school players trying to play in college, but games with far more strikeouts than hits are not helping anyone. Strike three on a pitch you can't reach or almost hits you is inexcusable. The games are timed, so what's the hurry to have short innings? I've seen almost no walks in 12 games. I mean perhaps 1 per game. The WHIP for the pitchers is probably less than 1. Hard to watch. I really think their goal is to finish 7 innings before the time limit just to get out of there. I take lessons at Maplezone for hitting and catching. I actually love the atmosphere. You walk in and you are greeted by different people. And the instructors are all great too. All friendly and really help you to learn and progress. All around great place !! read more

I'm reviewing about the Soccer and Baseball facilities. First off Soccer and lacrosse, the indoor facilities are nice and they are building an outdoor facility about 5 minutes away. Both indoor and outdoor have all turf fields. Now baseball, The instructors are good and I have nothing bad to say about them. The main focus of MSI seems to be on baseball. MSI also has baseball travel teams, they have partnered with the Delaware Vipers and seem to be getting better. They placed 12 kids into Division 1 colleges last year. All in all, MSI seems very nice. read more

The indoor facility is not being maintained the way that it should and definitely shows its age. The teenagers at the desk are not knowledgeable and seem disinterested most of the time. Girls softball is expensive, coaching is mediocre at best, and this is evidenced by their longtime horrible losing record. They make lots of promises for improvements but never deliver. They charge a lot of money to cover the cost of their indoor facility but then rent it out to other teams so frequently that their own teams can only use it once per week. Parents are forced to find additional practice facilities and run extra practices themselves. This is because coaches availability is limited. One tournament weekend the coach spent more time swooning over her boyfriend than coaching the games. Another time she sat in a chair near the bleachers while her father coached the game. She couldn't even be bothered to do the book and had a parent do it while she just sat there. How can you develop players with this quality of coaching and only one practice per week? They also recruit and accept players based on the ability to pay NOT talent in order to cover the cost of the indoor facility. So, if you have lots of money and your player has little/no talent then this is the place for you. Otherwise, you and your player are much better off somewhere else. read more
