What a nice surprise!…read more I shopped at Pindar yesterday (it's time for Winter White!) and I was looking for a bottle of Prosecco. No, we don't carry any Long Island Prosecco but the liquor store does. Wait, what? Where?? Yes, right by Tiger Lily. Huh??? Sure enough, I walk in with my dog and there is a new, pretty nice looking liquor store in the village of Port Jefferson. I asked about Processo that's not too dry. The helpful counterperson starts explaining to me the different Processo brands for sale. I grab a nice bottle and the see some tasting bottles on the coutner??? Yes, this is a Rum made in Long Island, Sag Harbor Rum. Outstanding! I also notice on the wall, smaller liquor bottles. If there is one thing I love is small bottles. Why? A good example would be St Germain. You can't keep it on the shelf for a long time. And I don't drink a lot of it, I like to mix it every once in a while. Hence, the need for a smaller size bottle. Also they have new releases including the 4 Bean from six point. My complaints would be it's on a busy intersection by the railroad and 112 and also that I don't make enough money to come here regularly. The growler station was very exciting but I got so distracted I didn't take a photo of the most recent selection! Must focus! Five stars because this is the best local beer distributor I know about !

Well then friends, it's about time to take a walk into the quaint little Pindar wine shop. I like to support local business and organizations. Makes it even more easy to love Long Island's local Pindar Winery. The main Vineyards are located on the North Fork of Long Island in Peconic. If you don't want to travel all the way out to the North Fork. Pindar wines provides much of what you want right here. There's a wonderfully fresh current selection always available here. Wine tasting can be a wonderfully, delicious and educational experience. I highly suggest becoming a member of the Pindar wine club. My friend has these benefits and they entitle him to free tastings and other extras. Most fortunately, my friend was with us for our visit today. One glance of the wine club membership card, and the old red carpet was rolled right out. Great, who doesn't love outstanding customer service. Our Pindar wine experts treated our entire crew to taste some of their more reserved selections. I thought I knew a little about pindar wines their "Sweet Scarlet", "Summer Blush" and Winter White have been among our favorites. This time I was introduced to some new selections. The different wines varied in flavors and intensities. Sweet, dry, full-bodied, aromatic, and delicious. All were served up with a smile and wonderful hospitality. Even more delightful than the delicious new wines, was the genuinely warm welcoming we received here. That's just so important when I shop for anything, I like to know that my business is appreciated. Thank you again Pindar wines for the wonderfully educated and courteous staff that greeted us today. As a result of the genuine feel here, I will be joining the Pindar wine club. I can't wait for my next visit. Pindar wine Outlet & tasting room is recommended to all who may partake.

Usually, if I ask a worker at a liquor store if they carry something and the answer is no, the follow up will be recommendations for something similar. Not here though - you get a "no" and nothing further. And if you then inquire, you're likely to be met with an attitude. I've had it happen to me and just this weekend witnessed it with another customer. We all have bad days but for goodness sakes if you're that miserable all the time maybe it's time to rethink your role customer service and sales. I'll be heading 8 minutes west from now on - same or better prices, and a hello at the very least.

Because of your high ratings, it convinced me to try this little place out over some of the other options and you weren't wrong! Facing one of the busier streets here in the city, Mora's seems pretty unassuming on the outside. I parked in the back back behind the bank parking spaces and walked myself over. I was looking to pick up a couple bottles of wine. I didn't expect much as often times these small town businesses don't carry what I'm looking for. I headed back to the store where they had the champagne (it was new years after all) and I wasn't disappointed! Some of the most famous French champagnes were back there so I was encouraged. I decided to explore their red section. Even though their French reds were all contained to a single shelf, they had some of the famous French chateaus many of which I have only seen in Paris. For example, the Rhone region of Chateauneuf du pape... they have a few bottles there! Fantastic wine and loved it. Of course they had beautiful examples of Washington and California wines as well. Their service was friendly and prices decent (not the best I've seen but good enough!). Grateful that they were as it worked out well for the gifts that I bought friends and family. Would definitely go back if I'm ever in the area!
