I was nervous as the previous…read moregroomer (different business) had said he didn't handle much of any of the grooming well (pulling away, anxious, etc). But the ladies did so well in talking to me and making me comfortable leaving my boy in their care. From the details they provided post-groom, he initially exhibited the same stress and anxiety signs as previously but they took the time to work with him to make it as pleasant as possible. This time when I picked him up, he was freshly bathed, nails trimmed and he didn't seem stressed out. The biggest thing was his eyes were happy, clear, and not bloodshot unlike the last groomer. I get nervous leaving my pup in the care of others, especially when you hear horror stories of abusive borders and groomers but I will DEFINITELY be bringing him back to Furry Tails! Thanks guys!

Looking back, I think they were a few times a caught her doing that "dog stare" (dog owners know this stare)...I'm sure she was thinking "Look bitch! You got your Guess pea coat and your smart little snow boots! What about me?!? All the neighbor dogs are giving me the stink eye!" Sort of like a Gary Larson Far Side cartoon. My sister recommended All 4 Dogs and I'm so glad she did. Staff was great! Facilities were super clean. UNTIL, later that night, with her cone on, she keeps crying and trying to itch her ear but the cone is there.. i take the cone off and what do you know. they left her EAR OUT of the bandage??? I went there to get her wound wrapped, and they wrap her head and not her ear??? The cone was on her ear, pinching it. THATS, why she was crying. i called blue pearl and they said i can try and shove it back in. which wasn't possible, since she was crying and freaking out. i told the lady at blue pearl and she said i can take the wrap off, put her ear in and wrap it back up. i did as told.. UNTIL. They. Did. NOT. Change. The gauze. Dry bled all over it. And it can't be from her ear, because guess what? THEY DIDNT PUT IT IN THE WRAP.

The store itself was smaller but clean and had lots of product! First thing I noticed was it was a little chaotic, understandable for a nail trim special event, although no staff ever called out where to check in and where to check out or where to get in line for the trims. There was one groomer who was very very sweet, even stepping out of the grooming room to trim nails for a shy dog while their owner held them, they must be a regular because I overheard the owner say "see you next month again". Our little Bruce went in first and I anticipated screaming but he was really screaming. Thank goodness for the windows into the grooming room because I saw him thrashing around and immediately went over asked to step in after hearing the groomer (different one than mentioned prior) raising her voice pretty loud at my dog a few times and saying things like "stop it", "that's enough", etc. I also saw her put some powder on his toenail but she never mentioned during or after the trim if she trimmed to short or what. Once I was holding him, it went much smoother but I didn't her tone of voice with him or the limited info on the powder. My other big, shy dog was hesitant to go in but I was able to encourage him in and he did fine. He actually seemed to be doing pretty good at first, I had asked for the filing on his if he tolerated it. Although when I had stepped in to hold our small dog, Bart (our big dog) FELL OFF THE TABLE, hanging briefly by the neck holder thing! The girl doing Bruce ran over to help lift him up and he was just fine but startled. Both of their nails are pretty good, 8.5/10. I do understand the chaos of this event and a full room or barking, whining dogs. I can imagine it's not the groomers favorite day or event. I understand some level of annoyance but also expect good service at the same time. It was not bad at all, it was alright and we were able to grab a couple bones on the way out which the boys will enjoy. Not 100% sure we will come back for the nail trim as we can do it at home but need to hold them like babies and it's not ideal but we will see. This might be better for those doggies who don't really mind nail trims and you're not confident in doing them yourself.

Zeus is a senior dog who rarely had his nails cut due to the anxiety, stress, and aggression it causes. Today's nail trim was a success. Zeus still had all of his normal negative responses, but McKenzie and Taylor were able to work with him and get the job done in a kind, gentle, respectful and understanding manner.
