They are great. Fried Oreos and their Reuben are great. They are hard to get to for me but whenever I'm in the location I always stop by.

Every single time I order from Mara's it's always perfection! I've had almost everything on the menu, and have yet to find anything that wasn't delicious. The service is amazing, always a pleasure to deal with any/all of the staff, and they all seem to love their jobs, and it shows! Always spotless, food is always cooked perfectly, couldn't ask for more, except longer hours. Since majority of places now charge NYC prices, it's wonderful to be able to eat well, with large portions, for a very reasonable amount of money. Highly recommend Mara's! read more

Ever since I moved up here, from Long Island, I have complained about the sandwiches that you get from the delis up here. Small, not enough meat, and over priced. What a difference going to Mara's. We hit Mara's about once/week. It's that good. We grab some take-out lunch to bring home when we're too busy to make our own with dropping off kids, errands, etc. Mara's food is pretty basic, but it's a cut above with regard to quality and freshness. I find their Chicken Salad Melt irresistible. The fries are awesome. Even the coleslaw is good! And I don't say that too often. It's also a good value. My chicken salad melt usually covers 2 days of lunches for me. :) Highly recommended! read more

Great location, always see cars lined up on my way to the catskills. Drive up food spot with 2 lanes. Food is served within a timely manner. Breakfast and lunch sandwiches you can get here ranging from 5-10$. I got roast beef lettuce, tomato, onion on hard roll with mac salad and came with coleslaw. 8$. It's one of those places that I've driven by for years, but only starting stopping at this year. I think Mara's On the Way is great. Good, filling, fresh food, their location is very convenient, and calling in my order makes it even easier. I haven't written a Yelp review in a while, but I thought I should respond to the review saying their signs will "SCRATCH UP YOUR VEHICLE ". I'll politely disagree, I have a large truck, with huge side view mirrors, I also drive multiple work vehicles and this has never been the case. Then again when I drive a vehicle, I'm in control, if I hit a stationary visible object then it is me who drove into it and not the objects fault. read more

Great little drive through spot on Route 28. I tried a bowl of chili for my first time here and wasn't disappointed. It is definitely homemade. It was full of meat, kidney beans and chunks of onion and peppers. Just like you would make at home. Give this unpretentious spot a try. They deserve it and so does your tummy! We spent the entire long weekend eating home cooked Russian and Georgian meals, and I was craving something more familiar. Mara's hit the spot just as we were heading home. I ordered the chicken cordon bleu sandwich for myself, and a cheeseburger for my son. My husband at first said he wasn't hungry, and then ate half of my sandwich. Evil man. I was looking forward to that other half. It was so tasty, and came out super fast. The fries that came with it were delicious too. The only thing we didn't like was the soft pretzel, just to much salt. I will definitely be back next time I'm traveling through. read more

I was very surprised this place had no review yet. I've enjoyed this place for over three years as I frequently visit this area. It's on a stretch of road where they are they only drive through and they make fantastic food quickly. I've had their fresh deli sandwiches, burgers, and I adore their breakfast sandwiches. The menu has so much more than this. They have a good brew for their ice tea and lots of other drink choices. Mara's is a hidden gem! The service is amazing and fast. The portions were generous and delicious. They were very accommodating as well. They actually applied ketchup to the inside of my breakfast wrap, which is unprecedented. They also added a hash brown to the inside of my friends wrap. The fries were crisp and masterfully cooked.
