Lockwood automotive said they could not find the part to fix the gas gauge anyway. So after spending a lot of money I now have a car that has a gas gauge that is broken smells like fuel all the time. and when my fuel runs low or I go around the corner or come to a stop my vehicle dies. Lockwood automotive refuse to fix the problem. my advice would be to not take any vehicles boats or anything to Lockwood automotive, but if you want to roll the dice and take a chance with them that's on you!

The quote they gave me was 500 to repair my vehicle. The owner's dad confirmed this. Then, I get the bill it's over 800 without them calling me first like most dealerships would do! That is a significant deviation from their quote. If they think you have money, they will stick it to you and the price they charge you will be more!!- I can say this for sure!! I took my car back a month later as it still wasn't fixed. I hoped they would back their prior work. Still, part of the same area under my car-rear end bearings-they called and told me it would cost another 500!! I did not want to let them touch it, but I knew I was in too deep because had received a quote from a well-known dealer to replace the entire rear end diff. For 1000, which, hindsight, I should have gone with. I also learned big dealers guarantee their work and parts for a year, AND it's in writing. If I would have left and gone to big dealer at this point it would put me in -1800 since I had already spent over 800 with Lockwoods. This put me in at -900 AND still left my car with only the bearings replaced! I will never return! Over the years I've had my son and husband's vehicles worked on and have had to return them because the vehicles still weren't repaired right. We only went here b/c my husband wanted to help them out-all the while., they were helping themselves out---to our money! Don't go here! Gone are the days they were reliable. We gave them numerous chances ;at the request of my husband). I should have followed my instincts. An oil change is the most I'd let them do!

I love this gas station, BUT On multiple occasions they've refused to let me put my fuel rewards…read morein. Today they told me it wasn't working at all. Walked right out to the pump and it worked just fine. They take ZERO coupons for anything. The shell rewards program get me 10 cents off of a gallon, so I like to take advantage of it. This is the only shell in the state of Indiana that has ever not let me use my rewards program. I'm not going to continue to frequent an establishment that doesn't honor the corporate rewards program.

I made plans to come back and was told the tow truck driver would call me when he was on his way. I called them 3.5 hours later, and was assured that I was the next car that would be picked up and the driver would call me. Going on the fifth hour (please note -- I am sitting in a car at a nearby gas station but for all they know I am stranded on the side of a busy road), I called another company who came and got me within the hour. I made it home after midnight. At 5 a.m. the next morning, a whole 11 hours after I first called this company, the driver wakes me up and asks how to find my vehicle. ELEVEN HOURS. Poor communication. Lack of concern for my time or safety. I would not depend on this company to provide a timely or professional service.

I traded in my old Ford Fusion for a Lexus at Indy Automan and had nothing but a positive…read moreexperience. They let me test drive and inspect the car, and offered decent money for my Ford. The Lexus was in a great condition (see the photos) - and it's been trouble-free ownership. At the end of the day, a lot of it depends on how the previous owners treated the car. All in all, their staff was friendly and professional, and the whole process went smoothly. If I need another car for my family, I'll shop here again.

I dealt with Kevin Dunn Which went above and beyond my expectations for the day and get me into the vehicle I want without any problems, which I would highly recommend this humble individual again. Two weeks later and sitting on a lemon . Asked warranties, pushed for gap which don't kick in until 25-30 days. Paperwork signed that the vehicle was mechanically sound, which was elaborated three different times to me while signing that piece of paperwork which miraculously wasn't in my copy of the paperwork. Not only was that emphasized about being a mechanically sound once being in finalized with the lady who was taking care of the end process, she kept stressing something about a transmission issue may happen down the road so you may want some coverage or something almost implying that there is an existing issue. They've not been helpful, playing phone tag and not responding for days after manager said they would " trade me out," not trade in the junk I was sold. The issue still exist with no resolve from anyone I've tried to contact for a week and the Mechanic that I have looking at it said the transmission was a Band-Aid basically to last a couple months. The issue had already been there prior and had to be known. Still no resolve after phone tag for a week talking to sales manager finally who has employees in the background laughing at the financial burden they've placed on me. In the recording of the call not once did they deny knowing about the transmission issue instead talked around. Further actions will now be taken for lack of help from this business.
