That would only lower my review to a four star. I have accepted it was beyond the stations control that someone vomited by the pump and I almost stepped in it several weeks ago. Today my experience would be a one star but I am choosing to be generous. I pulled up to an open pump and was in need of gas to make it to an out of town appointment. I should have had plenty of time but because it took me thirty five minutes to fill my tank I was a little on the late side for my appointment. So you're wondering with an open pump what takes thirty five minutes? I inserted my credit card in at the pump and it told me to remove it as usual. Instead of going to the next step the pump started beeping at me and kept flashing to remove my credit card. Check, I've done that. I pressed the button that indicates I need help. NOTHING! I locked my car and hike into the gas station. There were probably ten people inside in line waiting to buy a variety of food for lunch. I excuse myself and indicate I just have a quick question about pump five. The man in line is none too accommodating but I step up to the counter anyway to ask what I should do. The clerks response just put your card in again, take it out and proceed with the process. I went out and followed her instructions. Great it proceeded to the next step to verify my zip code. Then the pump starts beeping at me again to remove my card (my cards not in). I proceeded with trying to pump gas and the grade was chosen, the handle depressed and NOTHING. Repeat the hike back into the store. Great the lunch crowd was gone. I asked the two girls if someone could come out and look at the problem. Neither one wanted to do that. One girl was taking on her cell phone. The other walked me to the door and said the transaction was cancelled and I should move to a different pump. In a snide way I said "or different gas station". Unfortunately I was running so late at this point that I had to pull to a different pump and get some gas. After this experience I think I can find elsewhere to go in the future. I only went to this station for convenience even though they are slightly higher in price. So "Me thinks Not" is the appropriate two star Yelp review. It will be a long time before I return!

I've always loved Thortons and this location is no different. Great cheap coffee, cappuccinos,…read moreslushies, donuts, breakfast and snack items for a quick "fuel up" on the go. And they tend to have cheap to decent gas prices and combined with their rewards card you save on gas and breakfast. The rewards card is free and easy to sign up for. I've gotten coupons for drinks, free drinks like coffee, and BOGO deals just for buying gas I was going to need to buy anyway. This location is kept nice and clean including the bathrooms anytime I've been here.

I was running late for an appointment in Louisville when I glanced down and noticed my gas gauge…read morewas bouncing on empty. I didn't have the time or the gas to head to the opposite side of town to go to my usual gas station. I turned into the first station I spotted before getting on the Interstate. Murphy Oil it was. I dug in the bottom of my purse and pulled out a $5. bill (big spender I wasn't but enough gas to get me to and from Louisville.) I circled around the gas station and spotted the narrow entrance to the window to pay at. Parked, walked over and paid, then pumped my gas. I was in and out in less than five minutes and back on my way to an early morning appointment. The gas was 20 cents a gallon more than my usual station but it served the purpose for my emergency run. I doubt I will become a regular but it's nice to have gas stations throughout the town and especially when they are conveniently located on the way to the Interstate on-ramp.

Why is it that just about every time I gas up at Hucks and try to get a receipt, because I'm using…read morea corporate card, the printers never work or, it's out of paper. Just about every time. And, Hucks Discount Program is silly. Sure you get $.10 off per gallon, but that only puts it in line with all of the other stations in the area. I need to reassess why I go there.

I will NEVER go to a Pilot gas station again! I stopped to fill up my car during a work trip (cost…read more$27) and they put a $151 hold on my bank account. At first, I thought it was fraud, but my bank confirmed (and later so did Pilot when I called their corporate office) that they do this as a standard procedure for all gas pumping transactions. Pilot said it usually falls off before the customer even notices the $151 hold. Well, 5 days later, I still have the $151 hold on my account. So my little $27 charge cleared the very next day but they are still holding my $151. When I called Pilot they said they could not even open an investigation until at least 5 days had passed. This is absolutely ridiculous!!!!!!
