That would only lower my review to a four star. I have accepted it was beyond the stations control that someone vomited by the pump and I almost stepped in it several weeks ago. Today my experience would be a one star but I am choosing to be generous. I pulled up to an open pump and was in need of gas to make it to an out of town appointment. I should have had plenty of time but because it took me thirty five minutes to fill my tank I was a little on the late side for my appointment. So you're wondering with an open pump what takes thirty five minutes? I inserted my credit card in at the pump and it told me to remove it as usual. Instead of going to the next step the pump started beeping at me and kept flashing to remove my credit card. Check, I've done that. I pressed the button that indicates I need help. NOTHING! I locked my car and hike into the gas station. There were probably ten people inside in line waiting to buy a variety of food for lunch. I excuse myself and indicate I just have a quick question about pump five. The man in line is none too accommodating but I step up to the counter anyway to ask what I should do. The clerks response just put your card in again, take it out and proceed with the process. I went out and followed her instructions. Great it proceeded to the next step to verify my zip code. Then the pump starts beeping at me again to remove my card (my cards not in). I proceeded with trying to pump gas and the grade was chosen, the handle depressed and NOTHING. Repeat the hike back into the store. Great the lunch crowd was gone. I asked the two girls if someone could come out and look at the problem. Neither one wanted to do that. One girl was taking on her cell phone. The other walked me to the door and said the transaction was cancelled and I should move to a different pump. In a snide way I said "or different gas station". Unfortunately I was running so late at this point that I had to pull to a different pump and get some gas. After this experience I think I can find elsewhere to go in the future. I only went to this station for convenience even though they are slightly higher in price. So "Me thinks Not" is the appropriate two star Yelp review. It will be a long time before I return!

It's a little further off the interstate, but it's worth the extra little bit of time to come down here. There are a couple of other places with the same prices, but not with the ease of access and room that this place has.Sometimes the gas pump at smaller stations get so crowded. All the while not knowing what brand gas the station would become. Now that it is complete and open I can say I'm happy that it is a Marathon station. It has easy access off Freedom's Way. The station is set up with numerous pumps and a spacious parking lot. The price of gas is among the lowest in Shelby County. After filling up it is easy to exit from the station onto Midland Industrial and get right back on Freedom's Way at the signal light intersection. This will become my gas station of choice. A definite five star experience in gasing up today.

I was not about to do that so I pulled over to another pump. It had a special scanner reader so I scanned my Speedway card and it accepted it then I scanned my credit card and miraculously it accepted it. Then I filled my tank and when I finished the pump message asked if I wanted a receipt and I pressed the yes button. It made a noise and nothing came out of the receipt slot. So once again they have tried to force me to go inside and get a receipt. Fortunately I have an app for my credit card. It gives me an instant notice that I have a charge. So I really want a receipt, but I don't have to be forced to go inside of a station to get my receipt. I'll continue to look for a station that will give me a printed receipt and forget the ones that don't

I wanted Subway, the slightly healthier option, and my husband chose McDonald's. While he used the app to place his order, I stood at the counter to order my sub. There was a young lady there who greeted us with a smile and overheard me asking my husband what day of the week it was. She immediately knew I was checking to see what "The Meal Deal of the Day" was. It was the Hot Honey Pepperoni. She went to the back to let the Sandwich Artists know that they had a customer. The two young men emerged from the back with a lack of enthusiasm but came over to glove-up and help me. I asked for the Turkey Titan on wheat. They were out of wheat bread, so I chose the Herb & Cheese bread and asked for the rounded end to be cut off. He repeated my request slowly in the form of a question, so I explained what I meant. He must have never received that request before. I also asked for mayo on the bread, rather than on the meat, which is what they usually do. Lastly I requested that my 6" sub be cut in half. He completed my sub and slid it into a bag with no napkins, so I retrieved some myself. Then we moved into the convenience store area and grabbed some 2/$3 small cans of Pringles, a couple bottles of Calypso fruit drinks, and I couldn't resist the overpriced gas station Tornado (Southwest Chicken & Cheese). It was $2.99. Had I known that, I would not have purchased it. After using the restroom, my husband and I went over to McDonald's to pick up his order. The timing was perfect. This station has become very hard to get to because of major construction on Interstate I64 and the road work on the overpass. There is also ongoing construction on Mt Eden Road that makes both entrance and exit from this station difficult. The only thing that is under control of Circle K is the cleanliness the station. I'm not sure if this has suffered because the number of employees has been decreased due to slow business or if it is not a priority but it still counts in my book. I have found other stations that are more convenient, lower priced, easier to get in and out of to give my business to. This review only warns that if you get off the Interstate to use this station you may be disappointed.
