It now looks like the convenience stores on other college campuses, although it still looks really small, and they still have a quirky selection of, well, everything. The hidden gem of this place is the salad bar. It can be pretty expensive--they charge by weight, so lay off the broccoli and other heavy veggies--but it's oh so good. I was going in a few days a week, but I won't anymore. I stopped in for a bottle of wine and a couple other things. Three young women were in front of me and overcharged for frozen pizza. They questioned him and he said it was for a different pizza, but then they went over to the cooler and it was priced $5. He did not adjust the price for them. They just kind of looked at each other and left. I was next in line and decided to look at my receipt. I too was charged more than the listed price in the cooler for that wine and another item I bought. I pointed it out and all the cashier said was they were adjusting the prices for the season. I said that they needed to publish the correct price then. Nothing. Crickets. No adjustment and no apology. Barney's is only a couple miles, so I will just go there from now on.
